Calvin Posted August 30, 2006 Posted August 30, 2006 Why can I not wait till page 404... ERROR: AQUATRAX NOT FOUND
Jumboshrmp Posted August 30, 2006 Posted August 30, 2006 Right now I'm thinking it's almost definitely a launch coaster. As for the two rows of footers next to each other, all I can think of is: 1)Double Launch (preffered) 2)A launch with the brake run right next to it 3)A dueling launch (least likely) I havent been paying too close to the pictures so I have no idea what the layout might be like. I don't think it is going to be record breaking, I think it will just be a coaster with a very unique layout. And honestly, theres absolutely nothing wrong with that. If it's a great ride, I dont care what records its broken. If anything is new, my guess is that it's a new seating style for the train or different restraints. But I don't see why a lot of people expect this coaster to be some bizarre type of coaster they've never seen before. If it's got a great layout that is original, that's great! Maybe they'll be introducing a new inversion or element.
TheArchfiend Posted August 30, 2006 Posted August 30, 2006 I hear that that is supposed to be a large hot air dryer to walk through once you get off the Aquatrax. Because one would get wet riding an Aquatrax. And it so happens that this park is building an Aquatrax. A red Aquatrax to be specific. Aquatrax.
redunzelizer Posted August 30, 2006 Posted August 30, 2006 I hear that that is supposed to be a large hot air dryer to walk through once you get off the Aquatrax. The Intamin prefab wooden AquaTrax-Hairdryer, that one is! 8)
TopThrillz Posted August 30, 2006 Posted August 30, 2006 going by this believed layout. it looks like it would launch at the begining. then the second large straight section would be like a splahdown followed by a second launch. it is very believable that its aquatrax since that hinted at it only being done once before. also. they say but two and two together. which could refer to two launches or a water ride plus a roller coaster.
BeemerBoy Posted August 30, 2006 Posted August 30, 2006 ^ "Put 2 & 2 together" is clearly pointing towards the "2" in H2O. Which would definitely explain that this is an aquatrax. It certainly has nothing to do with any proposed track layout or elements. That's just crazy talk.
TheArchfiend Posted August 30, 2006 Posted August 30, 2006 a water ride plus a roller coaster. I wonder if they have a name yet for the type of coaster that combines water ride effects with a roller coaster?
Jumboshrmp Posted August 30, 2006 Posted August 30, 2006 I really hope this isn't an Aquatrax. Because I want to laugh at everyone who said it was. I'm making a bet right now... NOT AquaTrax....
Golfie Posted August 30, 2006 Posted August 30, 2006 I will only be happy with an aquatrax if it's launched. Otherwise, they don't look too exciting. Although, red seems like a VERY odd color for a water coaster, doesn't it?
coastakid Posted August 30, 2006 Posted August 30, 2006 I will only be happy with an aquatrax if it's launched. Otherwise, they don't look too exciting. Although, red seems like a VERY odd color for a water coaster, doesn't it? The only other Aqua Trax is launched... I think Aqua Trax's are supposed to be launched
TheArchfiend Posted August 30, 2006 Posted August 30, 2006 Although, red seems like a VERY odd color for a water coaster, doesn't it? Yeah, why can't it be orange... oh wait, that's the color that's associated with flying through the air.
Tmcdllr Posted August 30, 2006 Posted August 30, 2006 Red is an odd color for a 'water' ride. Like I said before... NOTquatrax.
BeemerBoy Posted August 30, 2006 Posted August 30, 2006 ^ A red steel coaster in a predominately "western themed" area is not odd though, right? Scott "still should've been an Intamin woodie" B.
Carnage Posted August 30, 2006 Posted August 30, 2006 What red track? You guys must be colour blind. I definetly see blue track everywhere.
BeemerBoy Posted August 30, 2006 Posted August 30, 2006 This thread has taken a turn for retarded. A LONG time ago.
Carnage Posted August 30, 2006 Posted August 30, 2006 What did you actually expect a Cedar Point thread to contain well thought out informative and acurate speculation?
redunzelizer Posted August 30, 2006 Posted August 30, 2006 What did you actually expect a Cedar Point thread to contain well thought out informative and acurate speculation? Ain't all this AquaTalk informative and accurate enough? We've seen way too many speculate on red Intamin steel track already...
jedi1 Posted August 30, 2006 Posted August 30, 2006 cedar point needs a good woodie. we need something like el toro or voyage. ohio best for steel, not so good for wood. we got the beast but its trimmed to hell and back. sob is a sob. mean streak well let us just say we could burn sob and ms at the same time and build ourself an effigy.oh back to point. no water ride, its something different. all i know is we need inversions at cp. raptor is good but mantis is a man killer, and corkscrew is arrow. lets just hope in 3 t0 five years the next will be wood. cedar point would be even better.
Nicker211 Posted August 30, 2006 Posted August 30, 2006 Hey everyone, I am new to this site. I didn't really have time to read 200+ pages, so i don't know if this has been said, but I think that a windwalker, like portaventura's 2007 ride, will not happen at Cedar Point. If you look at some of the pictures, your arms would hit the supports! And I really hope it isn't an Aquatrax.
HCOSurfer90 Posted August 30, 2006 Posted August 30, 2006 ^^Grammar, grammar, GRAMMAR!!!!!!!! And you're all wrong. It WILL be an Intamin Jello Trax, instead of aqua, the trains will splash into a large pond filled with strawberry kiwi jello.
Primogen18 Posted August 30, 2006 Posted August 30, 2006 Are you sure about that? I could have sworn I heard it was cherry...
