coastersandhockey Posted September 15, 2025 Posted September 15, 2025 Got the chance to experience the new Conjuring interactive haunted house at Cedar Point this weekend. Easily the best haunted attraction Cedar Point has ever done. Some genuinely good scares, long experience, fully immersive, great adaptation to the films... Overall just a lot of fun. Absolutely worth the upcharge to try it!

The person I was with also has not seen any of the series and loved it. That being said it probably wouldn't hurt to look up a quick rundown of the series and the various monsters. Also general warning to everyone, there are points where you have to crouch and crawl. If you are not comfortable with that, just tell the workers at the entrance and the "tour guide" in that room. There are ways around said parts. I wouldn't want anybody to skip the attraction because they think they *have* to crawl. 1
JJLehto Posted Tuesday at 09:00 PM Posted Tuesday at 09:00 PM Oh wow. Been away, what happened to this site traffic?? Well, came to vent. Six Flags has killed coastermania. What a great event that I looked forward to every year, and now for $95 we get one ERT with 2 rides being Rougarou and Iron Dragon... Not even the tours or boat ride anymore. I mean they do give one fast lane ticket but cmon. They note there could be other "Morning Rush" events, if there's demand, with different rides. I assume the idea is to give one good ride per event, try to get people to pay $95 multiple times. Or if demand is low, well maybe they just kill this idea. But yeah, what a shame. Loved going to this, been checking daily to pounce on tickets so quite a rude awakening! I'll go to CP some off peak weekday, no fast pass or on site hotel (been enough don't need the extra hour) bc this is a joke! EDIT: The team has heard us, asking how the event can be improved. Guess we shall see, but yeah had to vent. Sorry not sorry! 1 1
haydn12 Posted Tuesday at 10:40 PM Posted Tuesday at 10:40 PM Loved doing Coastermania but this offering is not worth $95. Not loving what I see from Six Flags. 1
coastersandhockey Posted Wednesday at 12:00 PM Posted Wednesday at 12:00 PM I usually defend Cedar Point but this is such a joke 1
haydn12 Posted Wednesday at 07:12 PM Posted Wednesday at 07:12 PM It looks like Morning Rush was a bomb. Coastermania appears to be coming back. 1 1

Just came back to say (in a shocker) seems they actually heard the complaints and are responding. Guessing the sales were low and they can't milk our wallets if we don't go lol We shall see what they come up with. 52 minutes ago, prozach626 said: Same, but I never defended Six Flags, so... Yeah... and this merger was a big concern of mine. Unrelated but has anyone been and can confirm that MForce has apparently shortened its seat belt by a noticeable degree? That LOTS of people are failing to make it? Its been tight for me before, never had an issue but now I'm quite concerned I wont make it. Should I lose some pounds? 100%! But Im the same size as last year, if I fail to fit not bc I got bigger but they shrunk the belt for no rational reason, ugh... It's also contributing to some gnarly waits, like 50 minutes for short/even fast lane lines? I am concerned about a lot of things right now. That said got under a month to diet and hit that gym and pray to the coaster gods I can fit on MForce XD
prozach626 Posted Wednesday at 11:17 PM Posted Wednesday at 11:17 PM Ditto on the merger. I loved Cedar Fair. That's weird info about the seat belts. I wonder if anyone who fit on MF had trouble fitting on Superman Ride of Steel. Maybe after that accident years ago SF tightened the belts a little? They could have tightened MF's belts to fit that tolerance. Just a thought. Use ChatGPT for diet/exercise. Seriously. I've been into fitness for 20 years and this was a game changer. Hopefully you don't have any issues riding, brother. 2

That said got under a month to diet and hit that gym and pray to the coaster gods I can fit on MForce XD So I'm a skinny guy so this doesn't really affect me but I started to notice at the end of last year that the belt didn't have much room left after buckling for me. My gut has started to grow so I chalked it up to that (desk job with readily available Little Debbie snacks will do that to ya). I have ridden Millennium twice this year and both times the belt seemed to be in the same place as the end of last year. I did however notice that the trains got new seatbelts (the same type, just new) and maybe since they are brand new they don't have as much give in them as belts with a season's worth of use in them. Ops have been horrendous on Millennium. Horrendous. But I didn't see any walks of shame, just maybe a little extra help from the ops on a couple guests per train. I think a lot of the horrendous ops have just been new season new ops, which happens every year. 1
JJLehto Posted Thursday at 09:09 PM Posted Thursday at 09:09 PM Absolutely glad to say my post is now obsolete. Great fan service here, they not only listened but just straight up brought back the event. ERT for MForce, Sirens, Gatekeeper, Valravn, Raptor, SV, Maverick, TTD2 (+Magnum and Gemini) and at a solidly cheaper price for the event now. 1000% fair play to Six Flags/Cedar Point. Tix usually go fast but they're up so anyone interested that sees this go for it.
SharkTums Posted yesterday at 04:19 PM Posted yesterday at 04:19 PM I still don't know what to believe about this whole 'coastermania event debacle'! Part of me almost wonders if they did this on purpose to get more attention to the event?!?! I mean, they had to see that no one would be interested in that morning rush idea?!?! 5

I reckon they got greedy and pushed their luck but ya know these days ya cant rule anything out! Just glad its back! I was thinking about it the concept wasn't so bad just that price was crazy for what was offered. If it was cheaper w better offerings, for locals maybe not so bad. But wild to replace coastermania w it. Have that be its own stand alone thing maybe w or 3 times but yeah, wild! On 5/13/2026 at 7:17 PM, prozach626 said: Ditto on the merger. I loved Cedar Fair. Its funny been meaning to get my ass in better shape for a while now 1 I am deff heavier than Ive been before 2 those tight fits (esp on El Toro that one cut it close!) did make me think OK gotta deal with this. I'll try the ChatGPT! Anything that helps. Little late for me come June but hopefully by Sept I can a bit trimmer. That is what I chucked it up to as well, I know people lets say....need traffic for their YT videos... and others don't always know a situation, so perhaps their was some gun jumping. bc yeah I thought it was well known early days is always kind of a mess at Cedar Point. Its why I never go toooo early. 2
coastersandhockey Posted yesterday at 05:57 PM Posted yesterday at 05:57 PM Everyone has been quick to blame Six Flags (which to be fair, is a fair assumption) but its like "no. Cedar Point is always like this on opening day/weeks"

Capacity was less than half of what I normally observe. Also, my seatbelt appeared to be installed upside-down, requiring a half twist to buckle.

I was seeing too many independent reports and people really stressing, "Ive ridden this many times, it seems tighter" to think it was some mass hysteria. Im typical internet fashion was lots of gaslighting "haha I didnt notice a thing, this isnt real quit following the internet sheeple" and fat jokes etc etc Well Tony Clark has confirmed it IS Indeed a real thing. That "Intamin directly supplies the seat belts, and its been identified they are shorter than the manufacturers specifications" They shall work to address it. So yup, no one is crazy! It was a thing. Im sure all the assholes on line will not admit they were wrong or apologize lol I'll still be working to lose a few pounds by June 5 as I should be anyway, here's to hoping its resolved ASAP 2
bert425 Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago it's confirmed.. they had installed much shorter seatbelts. apparently the general consensus is that size 34 waist is the max fit (at the moment). the park (Tony) has responded, and they will be working to put in the corrected belts over the "coming weeks"
