robbalvey Posted April 12, 2005 Posted April 12, 2005 ^ Yes, we have gotten RSVP's through the instructions on the first post. If you are attending, please send the RSVP to robbalvey@themeparkreview.com with your full name and number of people in your group so we know how much food to get for the BBQ. --Robb
coasterzak Posted April 12, 2005 Posted April 12, 2005 It's a shame I'm on the other coast of the US. Sounds like location is a big problem for everyone. Let's throw a TPR get together Midwest style! I'm in Ohio, how many people do we have out here?
robbalvey Posted April 12, 2005 Posted April 12, 2005 ^ If this one goes fairly well, maybe we'll have some kind of a 'meet' when we do our trips later on in the year. There will be an opportunity for Orlando in October (maybe a HHN meet?) and maybe even Wisconsin Dells in August? --Robb "One step at a time, and hopefully bigger things will come!" Alvey
Chris Benvenuto Posted April 12, 2005 Posted April 12, 2005 wahhh, I can't come, I live in Michigan remember? if i could i would, if you payed for airfare for people in the midwest and east coast. sorry guys and gals, sounds like a blast. But i'll be all boo....in frickin gosh darn stupid Michigan. I hate this state. I'm moving to cali after college. have fun all of you when the time comes. bye! Chris
msep003 Posted April 12, 2005 Posted April 12, 2005 i'll try to be there for the BBQ but i'm not a Season Passholder at SFMM i'll try to manage to buy one . I'll see if i go to the BBQ or not because i want to see DIsneyland and DCA this week end , i'm from France that's why it's hard to manage this .
socalMAN123 Posted April 12, 2005 Posted April 12, 2005 So Robb? How many RSVP's have you gotten yet? I told my dad and he said he might be able to go, and if he can't, I have another friend that would probably want to go with me (BTW, he's WAY over 16). So, I'm thinking I can basically go. Sweet! ---Brent 8)
robbalvey Posted April 13, 2005 Posted April 13, 2005 I've gotten a LOT of IMs from people saying they are coming, but not too many people have used the official RSVP email yet. So if you are coming, or even think you are a 'maybe' at this point, email us at robbalvey@themeparkreview.com and let us know. Like anything else, a great amount of people seem to wait unti last minute! --Robb
shepp Posted April 13, 2005 Posted April 13, 2005 Hell, my partner and I would love to head south and ride X and Goliath again, but the plans are set: we'll be en route between SFGAdv and BGW that day...
Billy Hill Posted April 13, 2005 Posted April 13, 2005 Wow, what a cool thing to do. Props to you Robb and Elissa. I can't make it, what with the distance thing like so many others have mentioned, but if I could, I would. I hope you all have a great time, and from watching your videos, I'm sure you will.
M_Force_4_ever Posted April 14, 2005 Posted April 14, 2005 well, I would be there but like so many others have mentioned distance is a main factor in why I can't attend this, owell. I liked the idea of having something like this done "midwest style"
CoasterCrazy Posted April 14, 2005 Posted April 14, 2005 It sounds like its going to be a lot of fun; I just wish that I didn't live so far away.
DATman Posted April 14, 2005 Posted April 14, 2005 I hope my parents let me go- my dad will probably take me and my brother to SFMM, but i'm not sure about the party...maybe this'll count as a graduation present (going to HS next year and can't wait )
CstrzRock Posted April 14, 2005 Posted April 14, 2005 Now why the hell do I have to be living in NY.... lol. I wish I could attend... I really want to meet people. EDIT: Looks like you are going to have to win the lottery... http://www.screamscape.com/html/industry_news.htm
Moviereviewer Posted April 15, 2005 Posted April 15, 2005 I live in Burbank, so I should be able to attend with my girl. Only 2 problems... 1. She can't swim. 2. She hates roller coasters. I may be going stag on this one...
CoasterCrazy88 Posted April 15, 2005 Posted April 15, 2005 This is going to be a blast!!!! igsmile: I've already sent Robb my RSVP. I'm glad I live within 30 miles of SFMM! I'm really looking foward to this! Antonio"See you in June"G.
kenshinmac Posted April 15, 2005 Posted April 15, 2005 Yep you guys got screamscaped... lol... Well if you get any plans going in CO that would be cool. We are just right smack dab in the middle of the empty area of the country. Granted we have some stuff to do but it is a hell of a long way to anything else.
Morcar Posted April 24, 2005 Posted April 24, 2005 God we'd love to come and met all of you. It's the kind of thing I've been looking for for ever, a load of pep's into coasters and having a good time. Not gonna happen though. It's a long way from the UK, got kids and getting married this year so there you go. Would like to say though if your ever visiting the UK again we'd love to meet up with you.
joshg678 Posted April 25, 2005 Posted April 25, 2005 If i lived on the west coast, and not the east, I'd be down ASAP. Maybe next time I'm out there by my cousin's I'll see if we can meet up.
jumbach Posted April 25, 2005 Posted April 25, 2005 Yep you guys got screamscaped... lol... Well if you get any plans going in CO that would be cool. We are just right smack dab in the middle of the empty area of the country. Granted we have some stuff to do but it is a hell of a long way to anything else. Well, y'all have Elitch's, home of my all-time favorite coaster, Twister! Went there in '00; I've heard that the new Twister is a pale imitation of the former Twister.
socalMAN123 Posted May 2, 2005 Posted May 2, 2005 As most of you know, 11 year olds don't get payed that much money, so when I walked into Ralph's yesterday, I was in heaven. Ralph's is doing the discount tickets again, so I might be able to actually go! My dad has a back problem, but he said he would go. He basically said that he is going to check his planner and see if his day is free! I'm so excited on meeting you guys! See yall then Robb and Elissa! Brent "you wouldn't even imagine how much I am a fan of your site!" Shenton 8)
robbalvey Posted May 4, 2005 Posted May 4, 2005 Hey everyone! One month to go until the meet! If you haven't RSVP's for the BBQ yet, please do so now! Just drop me an email at robbalvey@themeparkreview.com and tell me how many people are in your group. About a week before the event, we will send out an email with more details and directions to our apartment complex and the ONLY way you can get these details is by sending us your RSVP. See you there! --Robb
PhishyBrewer Posted May 5, 2005 Posted May 5, 2005 I'll be at Cedar Point that week for Coaster Mania. Wish I could meet up with you guys. Probably be alot more fun then hanging around with a bunch of crazy ACEr's. Maybe next time. I think I'm only like 5 or 6 hours away from Magic Mountain. I've got a Six Flags pass, might as well use it.
arrowfanman Posted May 12, 2005 Posted May 12, 2005 I will look into the trip, but I doubt the bbq...especially since 1) I am still a newbie, and 2) That directions rule is a bummer, because, unless you guys live conviently in Valencia or something, the chance of me going is microscopic.
robbalvey Posted May 12, 2005 Posted May 12, 2005 ^ What directions rule is the bummer? --Robb "And yeah, we do live in Valencia..." Alvey
arrowfanman Posted May 13, 2005 Posted May 13, 2005 Very cool...I go to Saugus High School. You are the first people I have met that live closer to SFMM than I do. I thought it was a bummer, because I needed a location to get verification on going. But its a major possiblity now. -Jahan "I have noticed that you guys do this way too much, and although it would take me five minutes to get to your apartment, it would take about a half an hour because of all of the Santa Clarita Valley traffic" Makanvand
