WFChris
Hey so, today, they were not running the 'ad car' on Viper. It was sitting on the transfer track. Â Somebody must have scared it off with their hair. Â Discuss and over analyze. Â Chris.
themeparkman25
^^^But why get another hyper when you have Goliath, that just doesn't make much business sense. SFMM has everything though pretty much so I guess it would be difficult to get a new coaster and not have a repeat style. CreditCrazy
Â EDIT: I'm following the SFMM twitter and this was just posted, "Mega Shark sounds like a good rollercoaster name. hmmm???? Maybe a water ride? Who knows." Probably doesn't mean anything but who knows? Â Great...SFMM is now officially playing the "Cedar Point game". atem122
I love how once Cedar Point finally stops messing with us...SFMM starts right up. This better be freaking good. Now time for some over analysis: SFMM has said that they're working with Intamin, Mega lites contain the word "Mega" in them, there's half of it already punched out. Now how did they kill the shark in Jaws? By "lite"ing it on fire. Therefore SFMM is getting a mega lite! Rejoice!

In all seriousness after tweeting back and forth that was more like a joke I think because SFMM hasn't really been known to drop hints have they? Correct me if I'm wrong please. stricklandCC
..."working with Intamin"...+ "family coaster" + "we don"t have one yet" = large, first of its kind, spinning coaster to debut at Magic Mountain. ethans_dad06
Mega lite sounds A-ok with me!! Sounds plausible too, considering they are working with Intamin.
atem122
The problem is that the capacity for Mega Lites makes X2 look like a people eater.

ImpossiblyBrandon
I was at Magic Mountain yesterday for my friend's birthday and it was a great day! Every major ride I rode(Tatsu, X2, Terminator, Viper, Goliath, Riddler's, Batman, and Scream) all had two trains running! It was surprising because the crowds were so minimal, we waited about an hour for Tatsu around noon, but after that we never waited longer than 20 minutes, not even for X2!!! And it seemed like every roller coaster was delivering superbly! Riding Goliath in the back row, I experienced an amazing length of airtime on the airtime hill And Terminator (in the 4th row!) was super fast! I even enjoyed Riddler's Revenge, it was going so fast and smooth! It was overall just a great day of roller coaster riding
CreditCrazy
That's good that X2 was running 2 trains, but it was probably just because of a holiday weekend...it'll probably be back to 1 train on Tuesday.

cooksta77
I'm wondering about how many trains are going to be run on Friday? I would be dissapointed by anything less than 2 train operation. GivenOneChance
Has anyone heard anything about Six Flags Inc. lately regarding their attempt to adjust their balance sheet (lose debt ,etc)? Â I read this...off Wikipedia.... On August 21st, 2009, Six Flags' Chapter 11 restructuring plan was announced in which lenders would control 92% of the company in exchange for cancelling $1.13 billion in debt. The approval of this plan is pending per the decision of the presiding U.S. Bankruptcy Judge. Â So I guess they'll have sliced their debt down from 2.4 billion if this goes through. rawrtotheargh
^^ two trains on Goliath is nothing special. I like when they run three. Same goes for Tatsu! Â Three trains on Goliath isn't efficient. There would always be a train stacked on transfer. And in the summer heat that is just no bueno. Cavs Fan
When does the off season end? I am from Ohio and am going to Six Flags Magic Mountain for the first time. My spring break is from April 2-12th. I also plan on going to Knotts and maybe to DCA. (Hopefully I can talk my parents into driving up to San Fransisco as for I was already at DL in 2004) Â I am wondering if it will still just be operating on the weekends at that time. ebl
Generally speaking, SFMM begins daily operatiion about the first week of Spring Break, whenever that is---usually late March. Labor Day weekend (now) is the last of daily operation. Â At one time, SFMM was open daily from about February through October, but has been cut back in recent years. cooksta77
A little on a different subject, does anyone want to take a guess at how many people will be at the Season Pass holders event on Friday? ebl
^ Hopefully not that many. Â Understandably, not every food outlet will be open, but I do hope they have one of the better ones open. The event time overlaps with dinnertime, so it'd be nice to be able to get something to eat. Â Eric
