Wes Posted March 24, 2007 Posted March 24, 2007 Or would it be more productive to simply stop going to Magic Mountain and hope it gets turned into a housing project? Yes.
Guest Posted March 24, 2007 Posted March 24, 2007 such as over the shoulder restrains on Revolution Most of the time something like that happens its because the insurance company wants it.
Spokker Posted March 24, 2007 Posted March 24, 2007 such as over the shoulder restrains on Revolution Most of the time something like that happens its because the insurance company wants it. Pay more for insurance? Get another insurance provider? I understand that Six Flags is a corporation in the business of making money, but is there no respect for the art, in this case being a dumb old roller coaster? This goes not just for Six Flags, but any corporation in the business of theme parks.
Xtreme-me Posted March 24, 2007 Posted March 24, 2007 Ok, im going to MM tomorrow and I have some questions (surprise!) - Can I assume not to see any sign of Deja Vu operating? - How many trains will most likely be on X? Goliath? any information that you have would be wonderful and helpful. Thanks!
GMAN962 Posted March 24, 2007 Posted March 24, 2007 ^I'm pretty sure Dejavu will be operating. I think it goes out of rehab tomorrow. I'd guess 2 trains on X, and 2 trains on Goliath. It can always be different, though. -Mike "Going Sunday, and Can't Wait!" J
coasterguy4 Posted March 24, 2007 Posted March 24, 2007 Sooooooooooooo, My sister and her friend want to see some weird band on Saturday, June 2nd. I've never been on X, but been on everything else. What should I do!?
Top Thrill Dragster Posted March 24, 2007 Posted March 24, 2007 ^ If you want to get on X, arrive at the park 30min before opening and RUN strait for X. Or wait the 3-4 hour wait.

Xtreme-me Posted March 24, 2007 Posted March 24, 2007 ^^ not necessarily the best idea, if you go on X first thing in the day, you could possibly get really sick. When I went last summer (Saturday in June) the line was long (2-3 hours after opening) and only about an hour later in the day. It all depends on how many trains they are running. If there's two, go back later in the day, if only one train: FREAKIN RUN!!!
Mr.Six Posted March 24, 2007 Posted March 24, 2007 Actually you really should run to X first thing in the morning. It doesn't accept Flashpass. After X I'd skip Tatsu and try to hit up the back of the park. Keep in mind that Deja vu also doesn't accept them. Make your way around, go get the flashpasses and hit some major rides that do accept them. Such as Tatsu. _six
Top Thrill Dragster Posted March 25, 2007 Posted March 25, 2007 I am going to SFMM tomorrow, did Deja Vu re-open?
vjgx Posted March 25, 2007 Posted March 25, 2007 ^ I don't know, but GMAN962 and I are both going tomorrow too. Hopefully it will be back open...
sixflagsmagicmountain Posted March 25, 2007 Posted March 25, 2007 I may be going tomorrow, I hope it's open. It's been a while.
Mr.Six Posted March 25, 2007 Posted March 25, 2007 Deja vu did not reopen today. The gates are still all around the ride and there has been no walls 'erected' by Psyclone's spot. Which I'm sure has to be done before guests go in that area. _six
sixflagsmagicmountain Posted March 25, 2007 Posted March 25, 2007 Damn, I was hoping it'd be open, oh well.
vedved82491 Posted March 25, 2007 Posted March 25, 2007 If every rollercoaster that had ops who talked on cell phones when they should have been working was riddened, I'd bet a good portion of all coasters would dissappear. Besides the near lawsuit complaints, I think after years of pain and agony, Six Flags finally got the hint that, hmmm maaaaaybe, they should take the ride out...also in response to person on the previous page...you must be new to the coaster world if you think flashback will operate this year...and who dares to hope X would be closed? then again, have you even been on X, or SFMM for that matter?
waterviper Posted March 25, 2007 Posted March 25, 2007 Oh dear me. I didn't mean to sound so hard to waterviper, but I guess I did learn a lesson: having someone correcting you does bite So I'll just say "I'm Sorry" and try to be more sensative in future postings. It's cool, ya I was just joking. That happens a lot around here. You do not have to be sensitive <--(Note spelling) Just learn to be more open and try not to take things so seriously. LOL that Psyclone injury list starting to remind me of Rattler at SFFT when it had all its injuries!
Xtreme-me Posted March 25, 2007 Posted March 25, 2007 Im under the impression that Deja Vu never reopened on Saturday when I was there (we left @ closing).
Top Thrill Dragster Posted March 26, 2007 Posted March 26, 2007 Just got back from SFMM. So here is quick up date on things. Tatsu is still on 5-7 min dispatch mode. Also Tatsu's thrid train is back X is still running smooth and with descent dispatch times. Johnny Rockets is coming to Carousel Grill. Right side of Colossus has opened up and Railings are being replaced. Deja Vu still closed Sorry I did not post this with the update, but Riddlers Revenges station has gotten some paint. FlashBack has not been touched. Thanks for looking at my Update!
kraxleRIDAH Posted March 26, 2007 Posted March 26, 2007 Thanks for the update. It's good to hear most of the coasters were in at least 2 train operation, but a bummer that Flashback is still there. But looking at everything in the photos, the place still looks run down -- especially after looking at photos of the new Discovery Kingdom. If there's one Six Flags park that has outdated park signage, it's Magic Mountain. Its freeway signage tower is so circus-y and clown-y.
Top Thrill Dragster Posted March 26, 2007 Posted March 26, 2007 ^ At least they are trying to improve the park, and that shows they are still trying to get this park up to higher standards. And with all the paint and restoration going around, I am sure that SFMM will receive new signage soon.
GMAN962 Posted March 26, 2007 Posted March 26, 2007 Yeah...I finally got to ride Sky Tower today! And no, the Vu did not open today... Batman was running intense, X was the usual, Viper was trying to kill me, everything else was good. Expect a TR later, but I don't know if any of you know, but the fact that Superman's queue is dark REALLY covering up a lot of problems, etc. with the queue that you'd see if the lights were on. -Mike

lapseofreason Posted March 26, 2007 Posted March 26, 2007 Cool update.. Haha, look at the season pass processing line in the last photo... OK, and that Johnny Rockets banner was NOT THERE on Friday. I swear to (insert preferred deity here) they took it down just to fudge with me. Here are some pics from my trip on Friday (the first 2 are from different days though.) And I think my husband is either ready to use said chicken exit or go home. I choose the latter... Thanks for reading! Stupid log ride killed my hair Because we all know Revolution definitely needs this chicken exit (snickers), here it is. A bit later... remember my "hidden Revolution queue" a few months ago? Well, here's the other end I thought this was a nice shot, lots of little waterfalls It's weird how much the log tilted, stuck there, with only 2 people in it Haha, I think the log is sinking Best part of the day: after Scream, Riddler, and Goliath, we got stuck on... that's right, LOG JAMMER!!! Woohoo! Thank cookies I was waiting for the front.. this ENTIRE freaking softball team pretty much filled the train in front of us Ninja's station (and track) got some love As usual, the first thing we did was get my husband's free Flash Passes and hit up Tatsu See? I have my OWN pic of Flashback not being touched. :blows raspberry:
