Goeone Posted July 3, 2006 Posted July 3, 2006 My all time favorite ride i've been on is 'The Amazing Adventures of Spider-Man'! (Universal Islands of Adventure) Whats yours? GoEoNe
thefitness Posted July 3, 2006 Posted July 3, 2006 hmmm best ride besides a coaster.... ill have to agree with you Spiderman is Awesome But if mummy isnt considered a coaster thats what gets my vote
tngdiablo Posted July 3, 2006 Posted July 3, 2006 Definitely either Skyhawk or MaxAir. Actually all Giant Frisbees and S&S Screamin' Swings are on the top of my "favorite rides aside from roller coasters."
alpengeist04 Posted July 3, 2006 Posted July 3, 2006 The Amazing Adventures of Spiderman Dudley-Do-Right's Ripsaw Falls Popeye & Bluto's Bilge-Rat Barges Do you see a trend?
asr Posted July 3, 2006 Posted July 3, 2006 Either Scream, Tomahawk, Time Warp, Nightwing, or Catapult at SFNE. Out of those, it's too hard too decide which is my favorite. Scream has great views and airtime, Tomahawk has airtime and the fun spinning, Time Warp has great views and the swinging motion, Nightwing has the flight sensation, and Catapult is forcefull. I'd have too say that Nightwing I can take of the list, because it was a bit boring and not that intense, and Time Warp as well, because it feels dated and is a bit boring. Tomahawk is fun, but nothing special, and Scream is too short and not very intense. Catapult wins then, because it is just crazy
Thrillrider15 Posted July 3, 2006 Posted July 3, 2006 I would have to go with the S&S Screaming Swings, or the Huss New Generation Top Spins. Crazy stuff.
steel Posted July 3, 2006 Posted July 3, 2006 Any skycoaster. Second place would probably be any Intamin 2nd Gen. Drop, any Power Surge, or any frisbee.
trustkill22 Posted July 3, 2006 Posted July 3, 2006 Im actually really starting to like Huss Top Spins. I rode the one at SFDL last week and its program blew. I'm hoping to find somewhere with a longer and better program and I also dig Intamin 2nd Generation Drop Towers.
Hercules Posted July 3, 2006 Posted July 3, 2006 For a Top Spin go to Coney Island. That thing will either make you love them or hate them. Either way, it will make you hurl your Nathan's hot dog.
jjeerr Posted July 3, 2006 Posted July 3, 2006 1st thought: Intamin Giant drops 2nd thought: Tower of Terror at WDW 3rd thought: Indiana Jones Adventure at DLR I'd give Indiana Jones #1 non-coaster ride
Fry Posted July 3, 2006 Posted July 3, 2006 Hurakan Condor at Port Aventura gets my vote for being INSANE. But, I'm looking forward to trying out Spiderman, Dudley Do Right, Popeye, Tower of Terror etc. next week.
TheArchfiend Posted July 3, 2006 Posted July 3, 2006 Three words... Tilt... A... Whirl!! Classic, always fun, and found everywhere. Good times had by all ages. It gets massive bonus points from me for those reasons plus it's a cheap ride to produce and easy to transport as far as ride transporting goes.
thecoasterkid Posted July 3, 2006 Posted July 3, 2006 Tower of Terror at Disney MGM Studios hands down.
palavos3 Posted July 3, 2006 Posted July 3, 2006 The Skyscraper definetely, no question about it. With other rides (coasters included)you only get maximum intensity for a few seconds. On skyscraper you get it for a couple of minutes. Plus the unpredictability of position leads this as my favorite ride of any kind (coasters included).
Shockwave Posted July 4, 2006 Posted July 4, 2006 For out and out adrenaline, the two insane rides at Old Town blew me away. Skycoaster and G-Force were like nothing I've ever been on. I also love Spiderman at Universal Islands of Adventure, Top Scans, Flyers, and anything else than produces great laughs every time.
Rollerholden Posted July 4, 2006 Posted July 4, 2006 I love drop towers...Tower of Terror is my favorite.
ECZenith Posted July 4, 2006 Posted July 4, 2006 Florida's Tower Of Terror is my favorite followed closely by Indiana Jones and the Temple Of The Forbidden Eye. I'm also a really big fan of test Track at EPCOT.
rcoasters Posted July 4, 2006 Posted July 4, 2006 I don't know why, but a nice Zamperla Discovery makes it for me
BeemerBoy Posted July 4, 2006 Posted July 4, 2006 Well, I guess this gives me an opportunity to selfishly sort of bump this old topic. Considering I finally got my first taste of flyers at Holiday World this year (yes, I know they're not the best example from what I've been told), and wasn't too impressed, Kick Boodie still reigns supreme for me. www.themeparkreview.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=24860&highlight=possibly+greatest
