  1. The MN State Fair is by FAR the best state fair I've ever been to (and I live in Des Moines, IOWA!). It doesn't even compare to the others. There's a huge midway and the entertainment and food are unbeatable. Iowa's state fair is torturously over-rated. Be sure to get a pronto pup for me!
  2. He hasn't ridden Renegade, so he's not really in a place to judge. Robb and Elissa both liked Renegade more than Thunderhead, and they're some of the only ones who've ridden both. kraken613 - Renegade is only 100 feet shorter than Thunderhead. There is tons of air on the drop, the bunny hop, the turnaround, the next bunny hop, the next turnaround, and all of the last four bunny hops. It does not have to be twisted to be good - case and point, Voyage.
  3. Well, it was way better than both Lightning Racers and Wildcat. I can't talk about any others yet, but I assume it's better than both Roars, Gwazi, and probably OzCat.
  4. I finally rode Renegade yesterday and you're right, it is freaking INSANE! I got two rides in the back row, one in the front, and one in the second-to-last row, all with waits under forty minutes. Awesome, awesome ride. I can't get over that drop.
  5. I keep saying it - RIDE IN THE BACK! It's smoother than any other seat on the train and there's obviously more air!
  6. ^Actually, there's more air than ever on TW. The brakes don't really even go on. In fact, the airtime is some of the best I've had in a long time on a woodie.
  7. I vote that you're not allowed to look at Elissa unless you said McDonalds.
  8. I noticed that too. There's a similar sign on the tunnel from Boomerang to Fury as well. That's good. There wasn't really a way to know that was a queue without the sign.

  10. OMG, you're right! I never thought about it, but that's exactly what it sounds like! Nice TR. I wish I could have come.
  11. Hey, I apologize for the lack of updates. I've been very busy with school (which means I've been busy with Chemistry ). I don't have anything worth goggling at right now, unless you want pictures of a skycoaster and a Ferris wheel. What I do have, however, might be even better. Introducing RCT3VISION. I'll be taking POVs of all of Melling Park's coasters (that work) in RCT3, so you can decide for yourself how they are. First up is Capricorn. NOTE: I know there are no supports on the lift. That was unintentional and only happened because I was stupid for a few seconds. Capricorn.wmv
  12. Yep, I got there at about 9:45 and we were there until right after lunch, and then again from about 6:30 to 11:00.
  13. Okay, now that I've looked at it more, Orangu is growing on me. It's really just the drop and the first inversion that I hate. It would be a lot better if it were just a 90 degree turning drop. I hope Hurtle doesn't leave. It's such a nice coaster.
  14. Not Beast long. Just regular long. I guess my point is that you can make a good record-breaker without overdoing it.
  15. I'm in love with that hotel. My major problem with Oronga is its length. If it was shorter, I would like it a lot more.
  16. I don't like Infranview much. I use Microsoft Picture Manager. It's not the best, but it gets the job done fast.
  17. Great photos! I had an awesome time on Saturday. The weather was absolutely perfect! ERT on Patriot was wonderful - I rode it 14 times that night alone, including about five consecutive rides in the front row and countless rides in the back left. Timber Wolf was running like CRAZY! The second to last row is the hot one now! It's actually smoother in the back than it is in the front! BTW, I'm the one getting into my seat on the left side of the first picture of the lunch.
  18. ^Timber Wolf isn't that rough anymore. I don't know if you noticed or not, but a lot of it is smoother than parts of Mamba now.
  19. Show me a floorless coaster that's as huge and wild as yours and I'll shut up.
  20. Turbulence is *okay.* It's really just the floorless that bothers me. It's huge and ugly and unrealistic, where the rest of the park is small and beautiful and pretty realistic. The park still does need flats, though. You're right, there are a number of them, but they need to be in balance with the coasters. I forgot to tell you how totally awesome Mine Mountain was and how mad I am at you for removing it.
  21. I'm going to boggle your minds right now and make a slightly negative comment. I have to admit that I only started following this park today. It's really awesome. I love it. I would love for it to be my home park. But you're right, it's way overcrowded. First, the floorless is horrible. I can't stand it. It's a huge eyesore and I can barely look at pictures of it. It's way, way too big. I'm not big on Turbulence either. Same thing - it's an eyesore. And you need a LOT more flat rides. I LOVE LOVE LOVE the new coaster though! It hits the spot perfectly! Don't get me wrong, I love the park. There are just a few issues.
  22. My school was (I think) built in the twenties. I used to think it looked like a post office. Imagine the white house, then cut each side in half, then make it red brick. That's sort of what Roosevelt looks like from the front. Our mascot is the Roughriders and our colors are navy blue and white. We have a kick @$$ girls basketball team and an even better drama department (we're doing "Les Miserables" next year o.0). Our vocal music department is okay. I'm in Freshman Show Choir and my teacher is an idiot, so I'm just going to vent for a minute here. We'll call him "M" here, just in case he searches for his name on Google, which is something he would do. First of all, he's one of those people who's technically (forgive the slang) black, but is totally white and acts black. Not only that, but he talks like a 20-year-old. This would be okay, except that he has two grandchildren. His grammar skills are reminiscent of those of a second grader. He thinks he is a world-class musician. In fact, pretty much all of his choirs have heard him say at least once, "I have more talent in my pinky than you all have in your entire bodies." He cannot play piano to save his life, and he refuses to have the other choir teacher accompany us for our concerts. He has no sense of rythm. In fact, the only reason he's a teacher is because he has perfect pitch, but he almost never uses it. He is one of the least bright people I've ever met. He never gets tired of yelling at us about things that none of us did. He also enjoys yelling at us for 45 minutes about wasting time. During the show choir show last week, he was running sound. We were onstage doing our song and the recorded accompiniment cut out. We kept singing of course, and for a while I thought that the recording had come back on. Later, I learned that M had pressed a button back there and the recording stopped. The other choir teacher improvised on the piano for most of the rest of our song. Oh, and if you tell him any of this, he gets all offended and lowers your grade. Oh yes, and my Geometry teacher smells like cigarettes, homeless people, and bad cologne. But other than that, I like my school.
  23. ^^No, none whatsoever, unless you count an on-ride photo. I personally don't know what everyone is talking about with airtime on Wild Thing's second hill. I have ridden Wild Thing many times and have yet to experience anything more powerful than a slight nudge of floater air for about two seconds on that hill. Mamba's and Steel Force's second hills have WAY more powerful air that carries for a long time.
  24. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Man that was a good one!
