  1. ^ Those would be Dummy Locomotives, but I see how the argument they are similar can be made.
  2. Interesting about the trains not tracking very well when BomBora's Trains track very well. It also appears as though the tires are made of a harder material which could also contribute to the tracking.
  3. I've also noticed this. They all seem to be slightly inclined, some more than others That's because you guys are confusing Immelmann Turns with Immelmann Inversions.
  4. ^ Any Manufacturer is Capable of Building the Fiberglass Car Body Created by the Designer, for the right price. I think it may be the first Train to have a 2 Axle, 4 Bogie, Lead Car.
  5. ^ It's the Same Way with Most European Ride Manufacturers and it's not really their Fault. The problem is actually with China. China has pretty much over taken the Bearinfg Market by underselling the European Market putting them out of business. Now China has driven up the price and demand for bearings and if a Gearbox needs repairs, they must wait to get a bearing from china which now takes months instead of weeks.
  6. ^ Unless Mondial has Changed things, there are only 6 Programmable Ride Cycles.
  7. No Doubt B&M will keep the Vests for those Rides where you need to be kept in the Proper Riding Position.
  8. ^ Don't know how accurate this may or may not be, but I had once heard the Magnetic Strip was built into the Track of MF.
  9. RCF, did you include the article about the cost of Evermore Theme Park and a Downtown Performance Arts Center and Night Club in SLC having a Combined Investment of 20 Million Dollars or the Great Article with the Founder talking about all of the Employees being Actors, even the Janitorial Staff and the Restroom Attendants, or that the "experience" continues INSIDE the restrooms? I guess the guests that complain will be Hanged on the Morrow? lol I saw the property last week and right now there are a couple hundred trees planted in a field with a Holiday Gas Station in the Middle. Their "Office" or Converted House as it may be, has a not so nice looking Backyard Haunted House still set up. lol
  10. For Most "Silent Lifts" there is a Magnetic Strip of Steel Parallel to the Teeth and as long as the train is moving at a certain speed, the magnetic force causes the Anti Roll Back Dogs to remain Up.
  11. Lagoon spent 2.5 Million Dollars on their Zamperla Air Race 6.4, and more than half of that money went to the Elevated Platform and Theming, so it amazes me more parks don't have these kick a$$ rides!
  12. ^ I would imagine that is why they only included the plans for the Foundations, Footings, Piers, and Column Numbers, and not the Plans that also Show the Track Elements and Numbers. We're dealing with Holiday World here, not Joe's Backyard Amusement Park in Nowhere, USA. These are some very intelligent and experienced people who have created this teaser campaign, so I'm sure this was anticipated and/or soething they counted on. Since I know someone who does work with such things like Foundations, Footings, and Piers, I've been informed over the years that Foundations and their shapes are determined by the load requirements and not by the ride manufacturer.
  13. ^ By that Logic Wicked at Lagoon is a Vekoma Product and BomBora and Cannibal are Products of Intamin. FootINGS and Piers aren't all that revealing. If Holiday World was Located in Utah, I would expect a Pioneer Day Announcement for a Coaster called "Brigham Young's Wild Ride" lol
  14. ^ I don't really see how it can be "spoiled" when Track Elements are not on the Plans for the Foundations/FootINGS, Piers, and Columns.
  15. SunRail is Commuter Rail or "Heavy Rail", not Light Rail Transit.
  16. They look like 99% of the Footings and Piers for Columns used on Steel Coasters.
  17. Yup, I personally dislike getting wet (which is why I never liked Perilous Plunge), I don't mind log flumes but rapids rides forget it.The one at California Adventure is the worst, getting drenched in all that dirty A$$ water brings my germ phobia to the red zone The water on water rides is probably cleaner than your tap water. All the water in water rides are constantly recirculated through filtration and chemicals. Thunder Canyon at Cedar Point uses Water Directly out of Lake Erie. It's also extremely expensive to use Clorinator Pumps on River Rapids Rides, so many parks just resort to Chlorine Briquettes and Hydrochloric Acid.
  18. Honestly, I figured a flaming bag of Eeyore would be better. But I don't get what people don't enjoy about Volares. I've been on two (Canada's Wonderland and Coney Island) and I actually thoroughly enjoyed both of them. Are they world class? No. But I enjoy going on them, and I love staring at all the exposed mechanisms for the ingenious spiral lift system. It's not like I don't have anything better to compare them to, I have almost 250 credits under my belt and I have gone on a big chunk of the top 5 Mitch Hawker steel and wood coasters. Either I'm insane, or most enthusiasts are overly picky about the smoothness of a ride. Oh well, less lines for me. Im with you, I didn't find it a bad ride. Pretty fun really. The spiral lift is really cool. I don't hate them either. There's plenty of worse coasters (SLC, Boomerang, Ninja @ SFOG, Mean Streak) and I think the main dislike of them is that the bars hinder the view when riding. I imagine that if someone made a spread out layout version of a Volare (Flying Superman) The transitions could be much smoother and better. A Woman Once Told Me "Some Men Like to be Beat." Different Strokes for Different Folks! lol Personally, I'm not a Glutton for Punishment. lol
  19. Actually, Wheel/Bogie Covers and Wheel Housings do not contact the Rails. The "B&M Rattle," as people call it, is caused by Wheel Wear (Nicks and Cuts on the Surface of the Wheels) and the Wear of the Rubber Shock Absorbers in the Bogie.
  20. It's actually pretty common place now days for Wheel Manufacturers to use different colors depending on the hardness/softness.
  21. I thought they came from Dippin' Dots stands? Well if the dippin dots guy has a keyboard... ...and spilled the Dippin' Dots on the keyboard... If you were a true dippin dots enthusiast, you would know they don't melt, and therefore wouldn't hurt the keyboard. Unfortunately, Dippin' Dots Start Melting in Sunlight when the Freezer Temp is Negative 20 Degrees. lol
  22. lol I also think it's the Best Darn Looking Chance Ship they've EVER built, so Congrats!
  23. Thanks for that Correction, I was unaware that change had been made. Replacing the water proof seal can be such a pain. lol You've obviously never operated any Popular Water Rides that Soak People. lol
