  1. The reason why Lagoon has a Universal No Loose Articles Policy is that Most of the Coaster Stations do not have the Space for Loose Articles Boxes and to also have a Consistent Policy. I agree that Lockers should be installed in other Areas of the Park. I've noticed lately that Spider does look Faded, but then again, it is in a Desert and Utah. You must have also been in a Train with Worn Wheels, which sucks, as it's usually a good Ride. There are 2 Main Reasons why Dragon has an Assigned Seating Policy, as with many other Coasters like it. First, if you didn't notice, the station is small and there is no space to queue for a particular seat. Second, the straightaway between the Vertical Loops is a Roll Back Point. If all the weight was in the back of the Train, it could and will Roll Back. I like the feeling of the Trains Flexing, it's part of the fun! lol I agree that the Ride needs some MAJOR TLC and the Ops do Suck! I think the Trims add to the ride as they are hard and rough. lol One Less Person in Line for Wicked! Woot! lol Sorry you were so disappointed with our park. If you would have visited lagoonisfun.com, we could have told you how ghetto fabulous it can truly be! lol
  2. Wicked is Not being Launched at Full Power yet, and there was even a Roll Back Saturday Evening. I was lucky to catch what I could on that video.
  3. Lagoon Park in Utah Insisted that Wicked have Lap Bars instead of OTSRs, and it has Lap Bars. I'd say it's up to the parks. Sid

  14. ^ The Bat is Only a Vekoma Jr. Hang N' Bang..........Nothing Special. Roller Coaster, Fire Dragon, Jet Star 2, and The Spider are worth the Stop. I was referring to both when I was talking about Load. - Sid
  15. ^^ Mike, there is no way Wicked could possibly use larger diameter rail than a B&M Dive Machine. Wicked's Load is Far Less than that of Coasters that Seat more than 4 Across. KSL is known for not reporting accurately. I also don't see any tunnel other than the one at the beginning of the ride. - Sid
  16. Hey Guys, Here's a Link to a New Article on Wicked from a Local News Paper. - Sid
  17. It is certainly more than likely that the track was fabricated by Intamin. Similar to the situation with Arrow and Vekoma --- Arrow used to fabricate rolling stock and track parts for Vekoma, which is why a lot of Arrow and Vekoma coasters look very similar. The Track is coming out of Germany from the Zierer Plant, not Switzerland and the Intamin Plant. I see many differences in the Zierer Track Compared to Intamin Track. The reason the track may utilize 3 Rails like Intamin Coasters is because Stengel Designed Wicked. Mikecoolguy, the Thickest Rails on any Coaster would go to the B&M Dive Machines due to their Load, especially Griffon's. - Sid
  18. Great question! My impression: Money. Technically, they can build the entire ride as a 2-rail, I'm assuming Zeier (sp) gives a 3-rail and 4-rail option for those that want to spend more, it's more durable, and less likely to be retracked in 10 years. (And probably gives a better ride.) The more money you want to spend on the ride, the more 3/4-rail track you get. This ride obviously was on a budget, and they only worried about the major high points of the ride. (Which would be the most difficult to replace and maintain.) Just some thoughts, no facts... Zierer Designed and Manufactured the Running Track with Load and Upright/Support Column Placement in mind. The latest Construction Pictures show the 3 Rail Track used on the First Half of the Ride where Uprights are placed further apart, where as the Half Pipe uses Closely Spaced Uprights with 2 Rail Track. I can't see why Wicked would need to be retracked in 10 years regardless of how many Rails are used, I mean Fire Dragon hasn't been torn down since it arrived in '83 and hasn't needed any new track. - Sid
  19. ^ Dude, don't get too excited! lol I wouldn't be surprised if Kennywood gets one of these.......... hmmm. - Sid
  20. ^ For 10 Million Dollars It Better Be Good! lol
  21. Forgot Wicked @ Lagoon
  22. With Fire Dragon at Lagoon and Lazer at Dorney, you must fill up the front of the train first to prevent the Train from Rolling Back on the Straightaway between the Carousels. Lagoon also has a "No Single Riders" Policy for the front and back rows of Roller Coaster and Fire Dragon, for Insurance Purposes, As someone stated earlier. The 2 riders in the Front can see if there is something on the track or something wrong with the track if an incident were to occur, and the 2 riders in the back can see the entire train if there was an incident. - Sid
