  1. PR was having problems with the 2-train operation when I was there even before the valleyfair incident, so I would bet they are unrelated. -james dillaman
  2. I'm dissapointed in Cedar Point. Having their best ride down for so long is unacceptable in my view. I know nobody's perfect, but if I was running the park I'd have crews working night and day on it until it's fixed. -James Dillaman
  3. Wow, Guy! Your Photo TR really makes me want to go out East and hit SFGAdv. I can't wait for the next installment, had to bookmark this thread until your updates are finished! -James "Turns out will get his Spamalot credit this fall" Dillaman "Have a drink and a pee we'll be back for act three..."
  4. How sad is this? I can't believe they couldn't get through their first event since SRM2003 without a death at the park. It wasn't a ride-related death, but it is still sad and sort of creepy. My prayers go out to the Koch family and the family of the young man who died.
  5. WELL.... the website says no rides are scheduled to be down today, so we'll just have to wait and hope MF makes it's rounds with no problems. I'm taking a CP virgin to the park in a couple weeks, and it would be a shame if he didn't get to ride MF. -James Dillaman
  6. Now that I got that out of the way, Great pictures! I may have to get out to this park after all. Patriot looks fun even if it suffers from chronic B&M forcelessness... -james
  7. Sounds to me they're at dollywood, bears, food, radioactive waste (the partons are environmentalists) and acrobats (when I was last there I saw chinese acrobats, and the time before that I saw the moscow circus at dollywood. -James Dillaman
  8. In the movie, the minis drive down stairs, and the cars were supposed to shake in the manner of the bumps from going down stairs, also they were supposed to "fishtail" around the s-curves by the police in the middle of the ride. I've never been on the PKI version with the effects working, and they were quietly phased out of most discussions about the ride after it opened, leading me to believe they never got the kinks out. He's asking if yours has these effects, Jeff. -james Dillaman
  9. I can't wait to log on and see what it is next, it actually is the high point of my day. Wait, is that sad? I'm pathetic, aren't I? Oh well.. at least I have my cats... Who's a pretty kitty? -James Dillaman
  10. Guy!! OMG I feel for you so bad that CI was all closed. Hopefully you can get back sometime to ride the Cyclone and the wonderwheel. Bummer. -James
  11. you didn't ride Wildcat!!!?? You don't have to be a credit whore to ride it, it's a great ride! You need to go back and ride it, you'll be shocked, trust me. -James Dillaman
  12. Now I really must protest, as I do not like lentil soup at all, my user title must be changed, or I may get accused of liking it... My vote goes for coke, as everyone knows it's better than pepsi. "Full Fledged Coke Enthusiast" I like the sound of that. Maybe you could even get some corporate support from them, a little selling out never hurt anybody. -James
  13. All you need to know is ride it in the back seat -James Dillaman
  14. Whatever the reason I'm now a drywall enthusiast, hoping that can get me some lucretive construction jobs... -James "All about the lucretives" Dillaman
  15. Is that the "Diablo Falls" Spinning raft ride from astroworld? That thing was messed up. It just spun, not anything too special if you ask me. -James
  16. ^lol, if anyone from B&M reads this, tell them to feel free to build as many batman clones as they want near me, they can even put one in my neighbor's and my backyard! Never get enough!! -James "Doesn't care the coasters are similar, coasters are coasters!" Dillaman
  17. I would love to thank him for re-opening the park in 2002, as that allowed me to ride the flats and the amazing Screechin' Eagle for the first time. I can only hope it won't be the last time. I know I'm not alone in saying that I would pay money just to ride that coaster even if the rest of the rides are gone. heck, I payed 12.50 for Mannhattan Express, and it isn't NEARLY as good! My uncle is in the market for a new RV, if I convince him to buy from Couch, maybe he'll let me one more ride? Thanks also for the memories... -James
  18. Tatsu made me go wow, it was so high off the ground... But that's just me.
  19. and what's up with airline food?? -James
  20. From someone who was at SRM2003, I don't think that comment was very cool, but yeah...
  21. Well, Paramount used the same names at all of the parks, for example: Top Gun, Vortex, Scooby Doo Ghoster Coaster, Grizzly, FoF, Tomb Raider. Just saying that as someone said CF used the same names at their parks, but I think there's much more unique names at the CF parks than the paramount parks. As for FoF, paramount already got rid of the outer limits theming a couple years ago, so now it's just generically themed to a ufo ride, so there should be no problem with keeping them the same for Cedar Fair. -James
  22. Guy I am jealous That you just went to broadway To see Spamalot -James "must listen to the cast recording" Dillaman
  23. I can't remember Tatsu's giant pretzel loop I must have blacked out Haiku is so much fun! -James
