  1. I hope everyone realizes the reason this park was shut down was due to failing OSHA inspections...so it's not a suprise the rides aren't sold.
  2. ...Until you wake up and realize that your team still hasn't won a Pac-10 title since 1998 and has to go play in the Emerald Bowl while your cross town rival continues its dominance of the Pac-10 and gets another chance to play in your "home" stadium. And Karl Dorrell is still your coach. So enjoy the fluke win while it lasts, because UCLA really earned it. F*ckers. -Joey "even Paul Hackett beat UCLA, so even awful coaches get lucky sometimes" Mandel
  3. ^Well, not as good as #2. And I think USC at their best could definitely be the #1 team. But unfortunately for me and them, part of being #1 is playing consistently good all year long...and they didn't keep it together. But you still have to be pretty damn good to finish 10-2 with a schedule like theirs (even by your logic, 4 ranked teams+10 total bowl eligible teams is tough) and win your conference. If it was so easy to go 10-2, a lot more teams would be doing it! Stupid UCLA. -Joey "Fight on and Beat Michigan or LSU!" Mandel
  4. Hey Jahan, what school do you go to again? I hear you love it so.
  5. Here's the reasons why I don't really care about Wal Mart one way or the other: 1. I'm a Jew. 2. Much like Wal Mart nearly killed K-mart, someone is going to create business model that tops Wal Mart in terms of cost (the one advantage they have), and that will be the end of super-mega-evil Wal Mart as we know it today. All those businesses they supposedly hurt? Well, a lot of them will avoid any of that trouble because their business model is based on more than just price alone and keeps customers coming back. 3. They are hardly the only mega-corporation guilty of shady practices, so I really I just lump them with everyone else in the "corporate America sucks ass" category.
  6. ^And he didn't let that stop him. He just kept on being gangster. Just like timetrial should keep on being 1/2 dragon.
  7. timetrial3141592: Don't let the haters keep you down. They just don't understand. Your Dragonian 1/2 is just WAY too awesome for us to comprehend. I encourage you to keep posting about your Dragonian self. Maybe then we will understand. Kevin Federline didn't let the haters stop him, and you shouldn't either.
  8. ^Yeah...that was last year. This is now.
  9. ^You know what's funny about that? I live in a upper middle class suburb of LA, and when we finally got a real shopping center...both Wal Mart and Ralphs are tenants, and both do quite well. Our areas only complaint was we didn't want the auto-shop equation of the "big box" store concept, which Wal Mart agreed to. But maybe that's just because we're a bunch of jews. -Joey "can't personally complain about Wal Mart, but I can see why others do" Mandel
  10. I'll vouch for Joe. Joe was pretty much like how Stan was whenever Wendy came up to him in South Park. Just stopped, vomited (all on the ground...none on himself), kept on moving. I've seen way worse alcohol vomiting.
  11. I read a quote in the paper today from Paul Mooney where admits to using the "N-word" "hundreds of times" a day. And therein lies the hypocrisy of this situation. If you're going to bitch and moan about the white guy who uses in the "N-word," why not bitch and moan about all the Black comedians who make millions of dollars putting down their own race? On another note: Tomorrow is Monday.
  12. I did! And we didn't even pass out like Derek.
  13. Jeff Johnson would count it.
  14. Better the "Yankees of college football" than the "Red Sox of college football" (Ohio State)...You know, that team that is always pretty good, but rarely good enough to win it all. But look on the bright side: that's still better than Notre Dame.
  15. Kevin Federline.
  16. ^^Well, taking a look at the LATEST BCS standings...I'd say that playing the #9, #10, #18, #20, and #24 teams qualifies as a pretty tough schedule. Let alone beating the 4 highest ranked of those teams and barely losing to the lowest ranked one. Not to mention every team except Washington and Stanford on that schedule are bowl eligible, with two of them playing on Saturday for a spot in BCS bowl. But you're right, that's not a tough schedule at all. Especially when compared to Michigan, who lost to the #1 team and beat #7 and #9 as their only three games against ranked opponents...and scheduled powerhouses such as Central Michigan and Ball State. Not to mention Big-10 is pretty weak outside of those top three ranked teams mentioned. ^Clearly better? How so? I fail to see the logic in "well, we didn't even win our conference, but we lost the conference because the #1 team was in it and beat us...so we're clearly better than all the other candidates to play for the national title!" Don't get me wrong, Michigan has a very good football team this year. But there is no way they are "clearly better" than any of the other contenders for #2. If they were "clearly better," there wouldn't be any debates, now would there?
  17. Said the guy with a West Virginia logo as his avatar... Another fact: USC is the only school in all of the BCS conferences that played all their games against other BCS conference teams. They also destroyed an SEC division winner, a Big-12 division winner, and Notre Dame. That's nothing compared to Ball State, Central Michigan, and Vanderbilt... They're also tied with Ohio State for most victories over bowl eligible teams (10)... And have handily beaten 3 ranked teams (2 still currently ranked, 1 USC knocked out but will probably still finish in the top 25 if they win out) in row... And Michigan didn't even win it's conference. So is it really so clear Michigan is one of the two best teams in the country right now?
  18. I also won $100 another time, so I'll forgive your machine for taking $19 of my dollars and leaving me with only one credit left to play.
  19. ^Don't forget by the seat too.
  20. It's a trade show for industry/media only.
  21. Is that stupid "X" thing still there??? At least I actually did the course! *cough* Robb *cough* Dan *cough*
  22. Hmm...that descripton of Beastly Kingdom sounds awfully familiar...like something laid off Imagineers could have built at another theme park just down the road...
  23. History my friend, history. It was the first theme park in Florida. It has the most renowned ski show in the world. It has one of only three Intamin flying islands in the world. It had one of the most awesome natural sights in the Banyan Tree and the botanical gardens are unmatched. It has a beautiful butterfly house. It has a nice little zoo area. The bird aviary is one of my favorite places to visit! It has a nice paddle boat dinner cruise. It has a really cool train set. It has a beautiful topiary garden. It has a nice little water park that is part of the general admission. It has a large number of kids rides. There are a lot of family shows there, and they also have two or three small thrill rides. But the thrill ride crowd is not who they are marketing to. Which is one reason I think so many people here don't like it. If all that was good for anything they wouldn't be honoring passes from any theme park. I personally wish the park well. I think a park like that has tons of potential in the central Florida market, since all the other offerings are tourist attractions or resorts. But they still have a long ways to go if the best they can do to get people in their park is "we'll honor any theme parks annual pass! PLEEEEASE visit us locals!!!!"...
