  1. Well I guess if El Toro can't be used as an airport, it might as well be used to bring Wild Rivers back!
  2. Here's the totals for team TPR so far: CGA: $365 Carowinds: $215 Kings Island: $140 Cedar Point: $275 Michigans Adventure: $290 Canada's Wonderland: $405 Dorney Park: $300 Kings Dominion: $574 Knotts: $532 Valleyfair: $0 (come on guys...someone sign up! You already have $75 pledged to you! I'll add $5 more) Worlds of Fun: $30 That's a total of $2,911 raised already! Thank you to everyone who has supported Give Kids the World and Team TPR! Keep the contributions coming, every dollar is going to a great cause!
  3. ^At least in my encounter with him, he was a jerk. A few years ago when I had dugout club seats at Dodger stadium (the season he flirted with .400), he totally blew off all the fans waiting for him outside the visitors clubhouse. Brian McCann and Mark Teixeira were both super friendly. Besides, he's got nothing on Tommy Lasorda when it comes to team loyalty.
  4. Join team TPR and post your link in the thread!
  5. Go Kings! The pacific division/bottom of the western conference is going to make for a crazy ending to the season.
  6. Just decided to make the trek up from Socal to join the norcal TPR contingent! http://www.firstgiving.com/fundraiser/joeymandel/CaliforniasGreatAmerica
  7. Gregg--Are you registering with team TPR? If not, I'll gladly lead the socal contingent!
  8. It worked quite well for Disney when they marketed rehabs for the 50th...
  9. It doesn't look as weird in person. It's definitely striking. Not exactly what you expect from a military base, but not bad looking either.
  10. ^That would actually be a very FREAK occurrence. When the drive tires are wet, they won't grip as well...but still only send the train inches past its block.
  11. I'm partial to this one. Mummy @ USH.
  12. SFMM's rain policy for multiple trains is that they will run them with multiple trains until they are overshooting due to wet drive tires.
  13. ^That's memorial day weekend. Could also be related to that. ^^The top 100 people get prizes...so who knows!
  14. It's great they are trying to increase awareness of just how f*cked up things are in the region, but the problem is that video is designed to stir up your emotions and only support their cause. The majority of the people watching the video aren't going to take the time to do more research and discover the whole region is f*cked and that supporting the Ugandian army (and a charity with questionable finances) might not be the best solution...

  16. The same reporter also posted the Six Flags new rides for 2012 press release early...
  17. You guys do realize that the whole region is filled with government corruption and human rights violations, right?
  18. *sighs* another video with the phone turned in the wrong direction.
  19. Work is progressing on the facade (sorry for the horrible digital zoom)... I spy Optimus Prime...
  20. Really love the extra touches like snoopy wearing a WCB shirt and the bandit show during the photo. Definitely impressed...wish I made it to KBF this year instead of SFMM!
  21. ^I don't think it is fair to say they haven't invested in Disneyland. They've spruced up attractions, built new ones, consistently updated entertainment offerings...Just because they haven't built an E-ticket attraction doesn't mean they've ignored the park.
  22. To add to what I (and others) were saying, word of mouth is most definitely important. My friend and I have been wanting to go to SFMM for awhile to ride Green Lantern, but now that I know it doesn't flip combined with the underwhelming experience of WCB (didn't leave me impressed as in passed years---just walked away with that feeling they phoned it in), I told her "man I'm glad we didn't go. The ride was laaaaame." So they lost me as a potential repeat customer and also lost my friend as a new customer (neither of us have interest in the drop tower). Knotts on the other hand already has me sold for WCB 2013. The combination of Robb, Elissa, and a park that seems to really care just cannot be beat!
