  1. Funny thing is, if I remember right, Benji did actually end up with a better job at Disney.
  2. I got into hockey in 1993 (when the Kings started practicing @ Iceoplex, and you could meet and mingle with the players after practice with no problem!)....hoping this run can surpass 1993!
  3. There was a whole VHS (now DVD) of kidsongs shot at SFMM.
  4. The only thing missing from this story is her mooning another boat. Because that always happens when you're drunk on a cruise ship, right?
  5. That smilie is pretty much the best way I could describe the whole hair thing.
  6. Neat to see small park owners being creative in growing their business. Good for both parks!
  7. The word that has been passed down for a long time amongst veteran SFMM employees is that people could injure themselves if not seated properly during the loop. Back/neck injuries were apparently fairly common for those who were not properly seated, or so the story goes.
  8. Hooray for a place none of us will ever be members of!
  9. They just paid 2 BILLION DOLLARS. Most sports economists predict that it is atleast 750 million more than the market price. There is no way they can reduce prices. TV deal is going to make that back on its own. Especially with Fox Sports and Time Warner fighting for the rights.
  10. They're finally using all that talent they have! Doing a MUCH better job keeping the puck out of their zone.
  11. I'm going to guess it will be something small like a new AP event/discount or something like that. Maybe another haunt maze announcement.
  12. SFMM is like all the reality shows on TV: you know it sucks, but you can't help but visiting. The park blows, but lets face it, we go back to get the credits and ride coasters anyways.
  13. Adam: did you happen to see how they were implementing the system? Are they doing the different pricing levels for shorter wait times like other parks? Or just using Q-bots as a straight replacement for express?
  14. Fight On Junior Seau. One of the all time greats at both USC and in the NFL. Sad to lose such a great guy so early.
  15. ^He is right about one thing: the Blues were kind of just watching instead of putting bodies on bodies in that first period.
  16. ^Exactly. Indy is so far from where it was on opening day, yet John Lasseter is bothered by something as Ariel's funky looking hair instead? Of course like Chris said, I am sure that is a product of Florida building the ride, which allows for some creative accounting to make this change happen now.
  17. ^Regardless of where the money came from, it still just seems silly to me, even though I understand it is a minor "plussing" of the attraction. Just a hunch, but I am sure there are hundreds of managers throughout the resort begging for money to improve their venues that would have provided more value to the company and the operation.
  18. Guess those pictures confirm nothing is being removed!
  19. Lakers size advantage is too much for Denver. But they are better off stretching the series to 7 games, so they have Ron Artest's defense in round 2.
  20. While it is nice to see them "improving" something so soon, it seems to me like there are many other things at the resort that deserved attention before something like Ariel's hair.
  21. I believe the $.99 cent refills is only on the day you purchase the sipper cup. I only saw Energon being sold in the souvenir cup specifically for the drink.
  22. Nice! Really cool to see the park growing! Good job Shane!
  23. As we get closer to the official grand opening, more stuff has started to appear! Like the costume characters! And Energon! As I said before, the characters are definitely the most impressive I've ever seen in a park. Very highly detailed, and taller to be more to scale. Energon is USH's answer to butter beer (until they get butter beer!). It's orange cream soda, and really sweet and delicious. But also $10 for it and the souvenir cup it comes in. Bumblebee Optimus Prime Energon. A.K.A. orange cream soda A.K.A Crack
  24. I'll reserve final judgement until I get a chance to ride...this one could really go either way IMO. If the interactivity creates a unique ride experience every time and the effects on the ride change based on your selection, I can see myself thinking that is a cool way to refresh the attraction. If it's just Test Track turned backlight mini-golf? Not so much. I would have honestly preferred they kept the theme the same, modernized the videos and displays throughout the queue/preshow/exit area, and chosen some new tests to perform on the ride.
