  1. ^Why couldn't they have the "launch box" (floor drops out below you)?
  2. In other words: you'll drown off their property.
  3. Dole Whip & Chip & Dale---Paging Elissa to the thread!
  4. Stories like that one are exactly why Carnival is even still in business in the first place. Booze cruises. I'm sure the kid dying was a combination of careless Carnival employees not checking the ship-passes close enough and his friends buying him drinks.
  5. 750 is awful for a major park, but par for the course at SFMM.
  6. I would guess that the difficult part will be the programming and testing. Lets see how that goes before we get our hopes up! Or maybe construction will stop because it's too hot outside today?
  7. ^Never would have guessed! Good to see the company continuing to invest in the park. Can't wait to finally return, given how much has been in added in the 9 years since I last visited!
  8. Water and sunlight. Duh.
  9. ^What a concept...getting your rides ready for big holiday weekends!
  10. I'm guessing they just didn't find a buyer yet...and didn't like the price they would get for scrap.
  11. ^But it was supposed to before going to Kings Dominion instead.
  12. That is one of the details that is to be determined. I would imagine they initial rollout will be to resort guests, followed by annual pass holders, and then finally trickling down to multi-day ticket holders.
  13. Do the studio tour first.
  14. Hatred of Potter aside, a burger place is better than the Transformers ride? Absolutely. Since I know nothing about Harry Potter, I am sure I will ride the new ride once and think it is cool but not understand it at all. Simpsons on the other hand? I'll think it is awesome to be placed right in the middle of the world of the cartoon I grew up loving!
  15. ^I will say right. We all know how high quality Chinese knockoffs always are.
  16. ^They also completed yet another trade with the Flyers! Sending Gagne back home for a draft pick.
  17. Ehh, at least they aren't replicating the Concordia.
  18. Carrie Fisher went crazy (or got drunk?) on a Cruise ship: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-2284935/Carrie-Fisher-hospitalised-treatment-bipolar-disorder-bizarre-cruise-ship-appearance.html
  19. I demand a photo TR!
  20. Looks incredible! Rocky Mountain is definitely on to something with these coasters.
  21. It was definitely dead today: We managed to ride Mummy, Despicable Me, Rockit, Spiderman, Fire Dragon, do a complete lap of both parks, eat at Confisco...and be back at TPR Headquarters at 2:00pm today! Other random observations: -The food selection at the parks seems to have been minimized. Very bland menus everywhere---even Mythos! -The Merchandise selection has also been simplified. It's all labeled "Universal parks." Had to settle for an IoA shot glass, since I couldn't find anything else park specific! -They are really pushing the freestyle coke machines, which I think is totally awesome! -The Transformers building in Orlando is definitely smaller than its USH counterpart. Looks like they may have "trimmed the fat" of some behind the scenes pathways.
  22. ^Well, some of that land may also go to the new area they are planning to create. Perhaps they'll do more than just repurpose existing building. Jet Stream's area of the park (with an archway that used to signify the entrance to Psyclone Bay) would be perfect for a new coaster/updated themed area.
  23. Which can also be associated with costs. ...or deadlines. Remember, final designs for houses are usually done in March so fabrication can begin!
  24. They're moving so quick. Can't wait for my next Orlando trip to get the credits!
  25. The hillside with Jet Stream is definitely ripe for an awesome coaster. Especially given that Jet Stream is another maintenance POS.
