  1. If Disney had fresh made churros on the other hand...
  2. Impressive! The quick construction time has to be a selling point for S&S.
  3. Free admission+SFMM's clientele=avoid at all costs. Seems like a bad idea...
  4. It apparently ended up in Pakistan.
  5. If I remember correctly, the credits mention another paramount park as well.
  6. A lot has to happen behind the scenes before a park can make changes to a ride. The manufacturer has to approve, write a tech bulletin about it, and then the park also has to change their paperwork and procedures (which I am sure requires multiple approvals from the corporate office) to reflect the changes. The state may even have to approve, since they are modifying the ride.
  7. Well, Oregon players talked about how the Rose Bowl was no big deal…. Manziel's Heisman repeat chances just disappeared too... I think it is also safe to say Wil Muschamp will be looking for a job real soon... Oklahoma State got the big win over Baylor and ASU clinched the PAC-12 South (stupid UCLA! )
  8. ^I hope they are able to relocate those if that rumor is true. The bounce house is a rarity at theme parks now and Gr8 Sk8 is pretty thrilling by kid standards.
  9. ^^^Carnies are the ones who purchase the styles of rides displayed on the outdoor midway (trailer mounted). My thoughts are that if there was still a financial justification for bringing rides to IAAPA, manufacturers would still be doing so. My guess would be that a lot of deals are getting done without the need to display the ride product, so manufacturers have gone away from that in favor of more face-to-face meetings at the various trade shows.
  10. I think the days of a huge outdoor section are long behind us. For flat rides, there is the IISF show ("Gibtown") in February for them to exhibit flat rides for the U.S. market. Then there is also the Euro Attractions show and Asian Attractions Expo to sell to international markets.
  11. They did the smart thing to ensure they don't end up with a Carnival like situation on their hands.
  12. The entire property spans 415 acres. They'll find space to do whatever they need to do to keep growing.
  13. I like the trains, but share these exact sentiments.
  14. If I remember correctly, outside of the things they mentioned in that area (and the cruise ship terminal nearby), the area was actually kind of sketchy!
  15. Kmg is booked solid building rides for the next 2 years....2015 delivery is probably the earliest they could deliver the ride.
  16. Sports Science did a segment on the non-call today: contact was only made 2/3 of a second BEFORE it was intercepted. So technically it was PI, but when it was that close it is hard to entirely fault the ref. I really don't want them to start reviewing PI calls either…games already drag on too long with commercial timeouts.
  17. Even more! Congrats to Six Flags Great_America and Rocky Mountain on the official reveal of Goliath! Some TPR photos at the GCI booth! Some of the theatrical displays at #IAAPA are very cool looking! (That's the idea, right?) Another shout out to our friends at Intamin!
  18. More from the floor…make sure you are following along on twitter and Facebook! The S&S 4th Dimension "free spin" coaster. Who wants to ride this? The worlds tallest roller coaster will be built in Florida. But where? What do you think? Orlando? Miami? Tampa? Gotta give WaveLoch Flowrider a shout out! Love their rides! Falcon's Treehouse creates a lot of themed attractions. They recently worked on Sea World's Turtle Trek. Gary Goddard is another big name when it comes to themed attractions. Hello Spider-Man & Monster Mansion! Who wishes this was their view right now?
  19. Could be "soft opening" vs "grand opening."
  20. I know that. That's why I am saying that I hope that returns as part of the rehab.
  21. It's being reported at IAAPA that the PNE will be replacing their HUSS Frisbee with a KMG XXL to debut on Easter of 2015.
  22. Random news update: The spinning coaster featured in the update was sold to Daytona Lagoon. Silverwood also bought one!
  23. The shin pads are the primary restraint on premier lap bar coasters.
  24. There was a whole second level that connected to the playhouse. It was awesome for kids!
  25. Didn't know she was a Trojan! Fight On to her! I hear nothing but great things about the Museum.
