  1. tOSU only had 10 more games to go to match USC's win streak
  2. If they were to remove the stage area, that could work. Otherwise it would be a pretty small dark ride.
  3. I think what is funny is how the "mighty" sec with its "tough" defenses has been caught so off guard with fast pace offenses/mobile qb's. Not as easy to stop without a month to prep for it. Fsu/auburn is sure to be another shoutout.
  4. All the bands are pulling out for publicity. Can't imagine it is a huge paycheck for them to bail on.
  5. If they haven't done it already after 20 years, I think it is safe to say they aren't going to bother with it.
  6. ^Good for them. If YOLOCoaster is down for awhile, I hope they will keep that many people. Just having the interaction goes a long way in doing damage control.
  7. ^"Insiders" are saying Sark was the guy all along. Petersen "turning down" USC was more just a formality for both sides to save face. Supposedly his family wasn't on board with moving to LA, so Washington makes a bit more sense. As far as Kiffin goes? Being an offensive coordinator is what he is best at.
  8. It's a moot point. Comparing temporary downtime to extended downtime is not a fair comparison. Also, to answer the train question: it isn't like PTC has an assembly line where trains are cranked out non-stop. Each train has to be hand built (or a single operator for the CNC machine) and engineered to a high standard to be able to withstand all the forces. Lots of custom machining goes into each train. It adds up real quick.
  9. In regards to X2, I have only seen the sign on the bridge when it has been down. No employee. But good for SFMM for at least having that on their website. However, we were discussing YOLOCoaster---which is not currently listed on their website as being down. Nor do I imagine them having a greeter out there throughout the entire day. Either way, you were comparing a temporary downtime to a ride closed for entire operating days, so it's not a fair comparison at all. As a side note, Universal wins this category hands down by giving out jelly bellies, water bottles, and return passes for delays, downtime, and ride closures.
  10. Disney will always have staff at the entrance of the attraction when it is down AND will have it posted on their website when an attraction is down for rehab/extended downtime.
  11. New trains would be at least $500,000 EACH.
  12. Really? Family (6) Lucy Tugboat, Sierra Sidewinder, Pony Express, Wipeout, Gr8 Sk8, Woodstock Airmail Thrill (9) Screaming Swings, Silver Bullet, Revolution, Riptide, Supreme Scream, Xcellerator, Perilous, Vertigo, Windseeker Seems like they went back and fourth to me. Sierra Sidewinder and Pony Express don't count as family rides, since their height requirement is 48" (well, 42" for Sidewinder with an adult). They might be tame, but the height requirements deter families from being able to ride together.
  13. It looks like their main street may take on the form of DCA's entrance area? You can make out what appears to be the Carthay Circle restaurant/theater.
  14. Wow, two years and still no finalized plans? Hopefully the deal goes through.
  15. ^That caption is brilliant! Also crazy how many little places Palace owns around the country!
  16. That doesn't make it a destination people would want to spend numerous days vacationing at...
  17. I think you get more bang for your buck with a delicious burrito vs. a delicious burger, so my vote is burrito too!
  18. I hope the guy is getting paid for his work!
  19. Was there a fresh churro cart? I remember having one of those at the SD fair years ago, but am totally bummed they never caught on elsewhere! So good!
  20. ^I agree. I think they are smart enough to realize trying to compete with one of the most famous parks in the entire world backed by a corporate giant isn't going to work out for them. What they do realize, however, is that there is a market in so cal for a balanced park that offers experiences for guests of all ages at a better price point than Disney. The family additions of late IMO are just their way of offsetting the years of constant thrill rides from the old management team. I suspect a thrill ride will still be on the way in the next few years, once the balance has been achieved again.
  21. MSU vs. Stanford would probably be a real boring game for fans, but a great game for football purists. It would be smash mouth football.
  22. Very smart of the park to have that car on display! Looks great!
  23. Congrats on the new release! No one does it better than you!
  24. You get the same view from the sky cabin.
