  1. Knott's announced on facebook there will be a Boysenberry BBQ sauce coming this summer...
  2. I'd be curious to know the occupancy rate of the hotel in the parking lot.
  3. It's not a major undertaking to remove a stage designed to be temporary. I wouldn't even be surprised if SFMM rents the stage from a production company.
  4. I would imagine that they would need to replace the screen for the higher brightness of a 4K projector.
  5. It's been rumored it will receive a projector upgrade to 4k.
  6. ^It's a fun little ride. Just too short.
  7. The more they have gone away from trying to be a best of everything in California to just being a really good theme park, the better it has gotten.
  8. I thought the same thing. Nice to see HKDL growing so much since my last visit!
  9. Since I never saw Disney Studios prior to the hats arrival, I'm indifferent to it being removed. It will return the look of Hollywood Blvd., but I agree with Robb that the hat is probably a more identifiable icon.
  10. How about titty twister? Because who doesn't like an opportunity to mention boobs?
  11. It does clearly state you need a sense of humor for this website. I don't think he meant anything by his comment.
  12. It was mainly an issue with the type of fireworks the used and where they were located (in the lagoon). Which is why you see limited lagoon based fireworks and its all backstage. They way they do it now works totally fine. They have used fireworks in the last three NYE and 4th of July events on DCA with its current setup. Beat me to it. I believe they designed a new air launched system. I wish they would add more pyro to World of Color...
  13. ^Nothing they have announced. This might excite some people...
  14. ^Agreed. I think even if they had made an effort to run shuttles from the beach, hotels, resorts and had more reasonable ticket prices, it still could have survived. But lets be honest...basically after all the sketchy changes of ownership, it's pretty obvious it was all just a giant scam from the former owners of the individual attractions that were failing.
  15. ^The only ride I found that I enjoyed less was the "frying pan of death" at IAAPA! Manhattan Express is TERRIBLE except for the zero-G roll thing.
  16. This one looks pretty good too and may be another one to check out while in Vegas! Over rated IMO. It's not bad, but for gourmet burgers in Vegas I prefer Burger Bar @ Mandalay Bay or the Double Smoked Double Bacon Burger at Pub 1842 at MGM (best burger I've ever had).
  17. I think it had potential...it wasn't bad, it's just that the themeing was only on the surface and they didn't do anything to overcome the terrible location.
  18. I haven't been on it for 10 years. I learned my lesson long ago.
  19. It was! It was so screwed up with some neat effects.
  20. Shake Shack has opened in Vegas!
  21. An already beautiful park only gets even more beautiful with snow!
  22. As a USC fan, I'll chime in and say there are certainly teams to hate more than Oregon, but I definitely don't like them either! Mariota is a class act, but outside of that...their success is based solely upon Phil Knight's money. I can't stand most of their hideous uniforms. They even got caught paying a guy to recruit for them, yet received less punishment than USC (thanks NCAA... ) One year they paid for a giant billboard to be placed in downtown LA showing off their receiving core the week USC went up to play them @ Oregon as well. They then got crushed and USC's receivers mocked the pose from the billboard. Recently, Phil Knight got jealous that USC was upgrading their facilities with the McKay center, so he paid for another wing to be added to Oregon's already insane facilities. I'm definitely looking forward to USC playing them in Eugene next year. I may not like them, but I also know that in order for USC to make it back to the top, they have to beat the current top team. They've certainly developed their brand (flashy uniforms, nice facilities, out of this world offense) to the point they are a legitimate national title contender.
  23. Part of Arrow was picked up by S&S yes, but does S&S still actively supply parts for old Arrow suspended coasters? I was under the impression that they were not (only special orders) which is partially why there has been a disappearance of many suspended coasters throughout the world. The parts business is more lucrative than the design/manufacturing business. There are hundreds ( probably thousands?) of Arrow and S&S products around the world that still need parts and support.
  24. A championship game without the SEC? Who would have guessed that when you take a computer system created by the former SEC commissioner out of the equation a team besides the SEC champion is playing in the title game? Seriously though, I'm glad we have the playoffs now. The parity that has been there all along will finally be able to be shown.
