  1. I wonder what the internal meetings with John Lassetter must have been like? Luigi's was his pet project.
  2. They're both Microsoft billionaires...easy to get mixed up!
  3. ^You never hear the Super Bowl losers saying "well, at least we were conference champions!" so I would say it is sound logic. One other thing I will add is the eras they played in. QB's and receivers are babied now compared to when Joe Montana played.
  4. I feel like the KBF section needs more love... Paul's Place has amazing breakfast burritos and is a local "fast casual" place that's quite good. Farrell's is a famous So Cal Ice Cream parlour that is making a comeback. Can't leave this one out from the SFMM section either! Wolf Creek Brew Pub There's also an Oggi's in Santa Clarita as well
  5. Many people still think Kong is a ride.
  6. I would imagine they will take some of the stuff that worked well on the Quantum class and bring it to these ships (and then go back an retrofit the first two).
  7. Aside from the fact that his picture is the most hilarious thing I have seen today.... I don't have sympathy for his "victims." If you're already a millionaire and couldn't see through how outlandish that proposal was....you're just a greedy fool. A Disney airport?
  8. I'm sure they could find some sort of tax loophole. For example, when Paul Allen bought the Clippers, it was reported a few days later that he could get "goodwill" written off (the difference between what he paid and what the team is actually worth in assets).
  9. That still assumes enough people buy them and use them during the show. Will be interesting to see.
  10. I still think that's a cool technology being poorly implemented. Doesn't add anything to the show unless everyone is using them! Though I am sure little kids will just see a shiny light up toy and be impressed, so Disney will still make a killing.
  11. Green Screen/CGI and cities all around the world offering big tax incentives to film in their towns.
  12. Joe Montana never lost a Super Bowl, so the edge goes to him IMO.
  13. The owner claims it will be another hotel. No casino/entertainment this time, primarily focused on getting convention business. However, he is attempting to use the sketchy EB-5 financing model (attracting foreign investors in exchange for U.S. citizenship), so we will see if anything comes to fruition. Construction hasn't resumed on Resorts World either, and they are trying to use the same financing mechanism.
  14. I would imagine that RMC supervises the work while sub-contracting local contractors. That's the industry standard.
  15. ^The backlot is consistently booked, though major productions are not as common. It's more commercials and television now.
  16. ^That's awesome! The tour now tells the story of Jim Carrey, who approached trams in full Grinch costume.
  17. At least during the day you could clearly see the sets and whatever is going on. It's not quite as exciting at night when it's like "On your left, you can kind of see courthouse square where they are currently filming...."
  18. The tour sucked at night with no production and little extra lighting. I'm hoping whatever they add for the night time tours will be awesome and unique!
  19. I don't know what any of that means...but it looks like a cool event for the fans.
  20. Kong was marketed as a ride and USH finished with a record year attendance wise. Between this, the night time tour, and Springfield...I don't think guests will mind.
  21. I always enjoy these behind the scenes tours...cool that they are offering it for free!
  22. Even though I think they should have given Lynch one more shot, when you look at an aerial view of the play...it's actually a brilliant call that developed 1/2 second too late. The middle of the field was wide open and only the guy who made the INT was breaking towards the ball. Throw that 1/2 second sooner and it's an easy TD. Also, someone crunched the numbers...the Seahawks were actually only 1/15 when rushing Lynch from the 1 yard line.
  23. The Flamingo hasn't held up well, especially with Caesars financial troubles.
  24. Kong was advertised as a ride as well. Technically, by California law, that is true!
