I think the phrase "beauty is in the eye of the beholder" really applies here. The day is what you chose to make of it. Some people (like myself) go in with a critical/analytical point of view while others go in with a YOLO mentality.

Since all of the restaurants/bars are doing something on Citywalk individually, it made sense for them to do something. The movie thing is at least unique.

Can we get back to complaining about the generally terrible operations instead? At least that's worth complaining about...

Smart decision to not do the NYE celebration how they have done in the past---all the construction is insane! They are adding lanes to the Lankershim hill, build a pedestrian bridge from the metro, and re-doing the Cahuenga entrance to connect to the giant parking garage they are building. Definitely would not be fun to have thousands of guests coming up and down the hill for the theme park and NYE celebration.

The reality is that you can find poor upkeep at every park if you really wanted to find it...the difference is that at most parks, you won't find the same problems on your return visit. SFMM still lacks that extra attention to detail you see from the best run parks. Of course, as we've discussed over and over again...it doesn't matter to the majority of their guests. Keep building coasters and they're set.

That's a major bummer they took out FX from Pharoah's. It was really on-par with Indy before!

I think mis-managing the BlackFish response definitely cost him his job. Not only were they not aggressive from the beginning in defending themselves, like Robb said, they didn't do anything to take the spotlight away from the animal treatment. They should have been marketing and building kick ass rides and then had the Blue Ocean campaign as a footnote to that. "Come for the E-ticket ride...stay to see all the cool things we do to help marine animals!"

If they aren't going to use the land, might as well sell it instead of paying property taxes on it.

For any foodies in Vegas, I am sad to report that the Tacos El Gordo on the strip closed. Best authentic Mexican food there was on the strip!

I enjoy Haunted Mansion Holiday...I'd just like to see a refresh with some new things added.

That might be the greatest ride logo ever.

I like the idea of them having food trucks that are best of WDW options. Hope they do a Food & Wine highlight truck!

^^Correct. But there is the possibility of them selling out, so it's not 100% certain they will be available.

Despicable Me has a single rider line that only opens on the busiest of days. I would say that if you are arriving to the park in the afternoon and want to make SURE you do everything, FOL is the way to go. Kids will still be out of school. Judging by the park hours of 9am-10pm, they are expecting it to be a busy day.

The monopoly game is definitely a unique souvenir!
