  1. Nice of them to do, though I wonder how many people bought gold passes during the flash sale?
  2. huh? I was told the old ice cream shop will be turned into a souvenir shop. are they still planning on doing this somewhere in the screampunk area? cant wait to see the new colossus merch. I will be saving up especially for that! That building is large enough for both...probably why they went with a sandwich shop (pre-made sandwiches in a refrigerated case doesn't take up much space).
  3. I agree. I think eventually we will see an 8 team playoff that is the power 5 conference champions+3 at large teams.
  4. I'm sure the trains can go backwards...it's whether or not everything else on the ride can be essentially flipped around (brakes, lapbar releases, etc).
  5. Everyone is out of school and it isn't a blackout date on any pass. Hope you used the tips posted here.
  6. THIS! Many members of TPR are basically extended family at this point...all thanks to Robb and Elissa.
  7. ^Just looked up that Jewel of the Seas leave from SD in May. Tempting...
  8. ^I wouldn't complain if that's what it meant. I really need to go on a cruise with you guys again! Makes you wonder where the 3rd one in the class will end up? Now if only RCCL would come back to LA (even though it's a terrible cruise ship market, I would just love having RCCL close by again for my own selfish purposes!)...
  9. ^That's a giant venue! After the conversion, that has to end up being the largest cruise ship casino? China does love their Baccarat and Pai Gow...
  10. Didn't realize the changes would be so extensive for China. Wow.
  11. Looks decent for SFMM's first go around. I'll probably check it out at some point.
  12. I'm sure Disney has thought it out, but I am definitely curious to see how this works. World of Color was at least designed to somewhat handle fastpass/breaking things up by section. Fantasmic ends up broken up into sections, but I'm definitely interested to see how it works when all the sections are assigned.
  13. The CGI looks very...CGI. The first JP was great because of all the puppets that make it look realistic. But I'm hoping with 7 months left until the actual movie comes out, those are not the final versions and were just put out in "good enough for trailer" form.
  14. How much cleaning was required at the event because of you?
  15. Aside from the terrible duet that completely derailed the show, it wasn't bad...as long as you understood that it was supposed to be cheesy. Which is why it bombed.
  16. It was tweeted that SFMM had a construction tour. So I would imagine we will be seeing something soon!
  17. Good to see them doing something. Feels like the site just sat empty with no work for quite some time!
  18. Well, it kind of is if it's not in 100% of the surveys. Each survey had a few "joke" options so that if the people filling out the survey didn't care for the shows that Universal really was considering, then those shows wouldn't get a vote, rather than get a vote that means "ah what the hell it's the best of a bad situation". I dont know if that makes sense....but essentially an option like "Sharknado" is there just so people who actually want a Sharknado show (God bless em) don't end up falsely upping the votes for a serious contender. They could haven chosen anything to be the "joke," yet chose Sharknado. Perhaps it only showed up on certain surveys because they wanted to see how a certain demographic would react to Sharknado? I'm not saying it will be a show...but I suspect the survey is there to gauge interest for SOMETHING sharknado related. Could be a simple as seeing if merchandise would sell well in the park, a potential photo op, maybe even something for HHN.
  19. Airtime is fun. Being violently thrown into harnesses because a ride is prevented from doing what it is designed to do is not as fun.
  20. Same. I've slowed down because it either takes too much time or money to stay caught up! Still play more than I should, but I wish they'd slow down a little bit.
  21. If it's in a survey...it's NOT an outlier. Likely to really be a show? Probably not. But I am sure the marketing department had a reason to include it.
  22. ^It does, but that's because it's HHN and the tradition of Bill & Ted's is established. I don't think the normal theme park guest will get the humor.
  23. True, CoT is really cool! So far it's the only Sally dark-ride I rode. But I was mainly refering to motion-based trackless rides, such as Ratatouille or Antartica. It's maybe too soon to know about this, yet it's something that will really matter to the quality of the ride, at least in my eyes. Will the ride uses a moving point-of-view effect on its 3D sequences? I believe Universal call that or whatever the man is saying in the video (never got the word right). I believe Universal owns the patent on that.
  24. ^Honestly, that's a terrible idea. The majority of theme park guests won't be able to figure out the whole point of the show is to be terrible and will actually think it is terrible.
