  1. A poppyseed muffin and a glass of cranberry-apple juice (yum). A. "yay, time for my lunch break" G.
  2. Wow, I can't believe I never noticed this thread. I worked at Knott's for the 2002 summer and Haunt seasons. I was in Foods and worked in Fiesta Village, mostly in the nachos stand across from the Wave Swinger (mmmmm, nachos). Surprisingly, it's the best job I've had so far.
  3. Awesome photo TR. I, too, think goats are extremely sexy. Not to keen on the cocks, though  .
  4. Superman, all the way. In fact, I still have my old VHS recorded copy.
  5. Hey Soren, is there a chance of seeing a version 2.0 of that lost TR ? Anyhoo, my boss is gone for a week, so I'm able to check the forum during work . A. "my 'puter is still down" G.
  6. Wow, this trip sounds amazing! It's too bad I won't be able to attend as I have about three different trips slated for 2006. But I'm definitely in for a Japan 2007.
  7. What the hell is wrong with this park? Just when you thought you had enough bodily functions blasted at you, here comes a farting coaster. Funniest update yet!
  8. I hope to reach 6' by the time I'm 25..... 5 months, it could happen.
  9. Right now, my favorite movie is Rebel Without a Cause. I've been watching it every night for the past two weeks. Normally, I would tire myself out by now, but we'll see how much longer it'll last.
  10. With all the commotion that happened on that particular day I couldn't really get any pictures. But I thought I should share my little trip report to the ER with all of you. Enjoy!! My Saturday began like any other Saturday the morning of August 13. I got up around 10, had breakfast and went outside to wash my car. I usually wash my car every Saturday morning inside and out, although this particular morning had been the first time in about a month! So there was a little more scrubbing and rinsing to do. I was leaning over washing the top of my car when I noticed a slight pressure on the left side of my lower back. I ignored it, suggested it was just gas and went along my way prettying up my "Sexy." Later, as I was finishing vaccuuming the interior, I felt it again, but this time it was sharper and seemed to linger longer. I was a bit concerned, but nonetheless I continued as I was almost finished. By 12pm, my "Sexy" was sparkling clean, and I was happy to note that she still had that new car smell. However, as I was putting everything away, I noticed the pain had gotten sharper. I stopped, took a few deep breaths and let them out. At this point I'll go into more detail about what I thought my symptoms were. About a year and a half ago, my left lung suddenly collapsed, for no apparent reason. That particular day I happened to be washing my car as well. I felt this pressure on my lower back and ignored it. As the day progressed it got worse and worse, until I was experiencing shortness of breath. That evening I tried laying down and felt as though I was suddenly drowning. That's when my parents decided to take me to the ER, and sure enough, I had a pneumothorax, or collapsed lung in laymen's terms. I won't go into the details of the surgery or the recovery (shivers) but all the symptoms I felt that day were exactly the same on Saturday. Around 12:30, I decide to take a shower to see if that will ease the pain, but I start experiencing shortness of breath and suddenly become light-headed. My entire body starts to tingle and I feel as though I'm gonna faint. So naturally I tell my mother and she starts freaking out. My sister and her drive me to the ER where I explain my symptoms and they rush me in and hook me up to all this familiar equipment. By this time it is around 2pm, and I'm actually more hungry than anything else. The doctors bring in a large machine to take my X-ray. After that, we wait to see what happens. Well, I am relieved to say that my lung did not collapse. The doctor assured me that the pain I was experiencing was muscular-skeletal pains around my chest and lower back, which can be rememdied by taking an ibuprofen. The light-headedness and tingling was a result of my hyper-ventilating. My mom and I laugh it off, realizing how ridiculous this may seem and go to the hospital cafeteria to get something to eat. With all the commotion, no one had had any lunch. We finally left the hospital at 5 and head home. So that was my ER hoopla on Saturday. Feel free to comment (or not).
  11. I met Vin Diesel right before The Fast & the Furious was released. He was on the same flight coming into LAX. I didn't really know who he was, but my friend was going nuts over him the entire flight (he was a few rows down). Anyway, after the flight he waited for us at the gate so my friend can take a picture with him. He even introduced himself and shook my hand, which I thought was really cool of him.
  12. Is that the Carrabba's in Woodridge? I have family living in that area right off 75th St. We would drive past that Carrabba's all the time, but they never took me (grrrr!). Anyway, hope you guys have a great time. If you can, try to see the sites around Downtown Chicago, especially Lakeshore Dr. A. "misses the Windy City" G.
  13. Great pics! I'm kind of wondering what that acid is for  .
  14. I actually enjoyed Flashback at SFMM. It was always the first coaster we rode.
  15. ^Deep diving sounds exciting. Always wanted to go to Belize. But yeah, they also lost our luggage. We were half-way through our week-long trip before we got it back (with no compensation).
  16. I don't know why, but I feel very indifferent to this new Disneyland. I really don't want it to fail but I don't care much if it succeeds. I'm just very "eh" about it. I felt more excitement for DCA :? .
  17. I had the worst experience flying TACA. My studio class and I were flying red-eye to Costa Rica for a student conference on green architecture back in June 2003. When we got to the airport our group was split between those with baggage checks and those with only carry-ons. The carry-ons boarded with no problem, but they took about 2 hours to check our bags. After that, another hour went by before we were issued our boarding passes. Now here's where it gets exciting (sarcasm). Apparently there was a previous flight before ours going to the same location that was canceled. All the passengers from that flight were allowed to board our flight, so by the time we reached the end of the line the plane was full. The thing that really upset me was that they kept pushing our group back, assuring us that they would take care of us seperately. The worst part was the agents were very blase about the whole situation, "you can't board because the plane is full, oh well." At this point, our professor was yelling beyond belief, and that still didn't stir even a twitch among the agents. We had to wait until the next day to meet up with the rest of the group. To top it off, they didn't even want to compensate for a hotel, which was the very least they could do.
  18. Not for another 3 years, at least. A. "not in a hurry to get his Masters" G.
  19. Great photos and very thorough TR. It's good to know the Mountain is heading in the right direction once more.
  20. Today I am sad because my 'puter has crashed for the umpteenth time. For those who don't know yet, Windows XP sucks major heiny ! A. "getting tired of reformatting my laptop" G.
