^And as someone that has been to most of the McDonald's in the world with you, I will agree that the one near your house is the WORST, or at least tied with the one at Disneyland Paris. dt

FIXED!!!! QFT. One of the worst rides I have ever been on. I only made on visit to SFKK in 2000. It was...OK. Nothing amazing, though Chang was fun, and Thunder Run was OK in the front row. I didn't hate the place (other than T2, which was just horrible), but obviously I never bothered to make it back there. Not surprised by the closure, I actually figured it would have happened awhile back when SF was looking to get rid of properties. And I'm amazed that there has been no press release from Southern Star Amusements yet... dt

Not bad if you're a McNugget fan. How much would 50 of them normally cost? I'd much rather have the .39 hamburger deal that they used to do. That ruled. dt

I was talking to Mary tonight, and asked her about this restaurant. She's been working in El Salvador a lot, and she said this chain is insanely popular there, and it's not unusual to see almost everyone on a flight out of the country carrying a bag of chicken from this place. She actually ate at one last week, and said it was good. She also told me that if you're getting take out you just order at the counter, but if you're eating in, they actually have waiters (not sure if this concept will carry over to the DTD location, of course). I don't go to DTD a lot, and I doubt I'll ever end up eating at this place, but I suspect it will be popular... dt

What if Jurassic Park was real?

Tyler, less posting, more dinosaur creating! There are many people here in Baltimore that really need to be a tasty DinoSnack... dt -
What if Jurassic Park was real?

I just want a dinosaur that I can take to the grocery store and have it eat people that annoy me. Tyler, get to work! dt -
It's still looking like my prediction for how the show ends is still on track. Tonight's episode was indeed awesome. When this show ends, there will really be nothing on any network worth watching. dt

Anvil: The Story Of Anvil not being nominated for Best Documentary is a crime. That was probably my favorite movie from last year. I'd love to see District 9 win for best picture, just because of how much less it cost than something like Avatar. Which I still haven't seen, as I really don't want to sit in a theater for three hours. Plus, it seems like it has the most predictable plot ever. If I watch it at home whenever it comes out on DVD, I can at least pause it when I want or make obnoxious commentary to the cat while it's on... dt

^There is no way they would do a worse job of running the place. I'm thinking if they paved over HRP and put a Cat Food Outlet on the site, they'd make about a billion times more than the park has brought in to date. And they nap for 18 hours a day. And why does ANYONE take that Southern Star Amusements guy seriously?!? I do not get this. dt

This has been a thread of epic proportions. Thanks for all the hard work! Looking forward to some sort of Orlando adventure thread... dt -
^That looks amazing. Might be a fun place to stay on a Vegas trip. And if we're talking about Vegas restaurants, I have one word: Nobu. Easily one of the best meals I've had in my life. Cannot wait to eat there again some time. dt

Cool idea for a thread. I love Vegas. And don't forget Dave Goes To Las Vegas. With plenty of Ice Bat. dt

Legoland Florida Discussion Thread
Meteornotes replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
This is also what I have been thinking. When I keep seeing things about them "keeping" various parts of CG (which was, to be fair and honest, a horrible dump), it all screams to me as NOT LEGOLAND. Legoland parks are very unique, very well themed, some of the nicest parks I've been to anywhere in the world. It would suck if they didn't take the time to do this one right, especially given the competition right down the road. Honestly, the smartest plan they could put forward at this point would be to bulldoze the entire complex and start over. There is nothing at that CG site that needs to be saved. Especially Starliner, which was a bottom tier coaster when it was at its original location, and might have run even worse at CG. Legoland is not supposed to be about preserving an old wooden coaster or the memory of a park that went out of business more than once. Hopefully the people in charge will make this Legoland at least the equal of the others, if not the stand out park in the chain. dt -
^Several articles (including this one) have stated there won't be a conflict. Yay! dt

The cruise was awesome fun. I miss the ship. And giant margaritas the size of your skull for $5 in Mexico. dt
