OK, time for something a bit different. If you've never seen it, take a look at selleckwaterfallsandwich. It consists of photos that contain Tom Selleck, a waterfall, and a sandwich. So this is a pretty inspirational idea, but of course we need to put a TPR spin on it! So your challenge is to create an image that uses all of the following: - A photo of Gary Sinise - A Roller Coaster - A type of pasta That's it! Be as creative with the rest of it as you want. Just keep it "PG-13"! A few other rules: - All images must be uploaded to TPR. If not, they will NOT be included in the final voting - You can upload as many images as you like, but you must tag the one you want entered into the contest as "Final Image". - If you create an animated .gif (look at selleckwaterfallsandwich for examples) you will get BONUS POINTS during the voting period. - Your final image must be under 2 megs - Have fun! As always, the winner gets a TPR Bag '0 Crap AND a FREE DOWNLOADABLE TPR VIDEO OF YOUR CHOICE! Enjoy! dt Remember! Your photoshop entry MUST include the following: 1. A picture of Gary Sinise 2. A roller coaster 3. Some kind of pasta

Cedar Fair vs Six Flags

Yeah, this is a topic that has been discussed quite a bit. In fact, there's an old thread here where you can continue this discussion if you like. Thanks! dt -
^OMG THAT WAS A HORRIBLE HORRIBLE PARK DAY!!! I think that might be the worst day I've ever spent at a park, other than our two visits to Fuji-Q. The park was overrun with people wearing Garth Brooks t-shirts, horrible country music was being played all over the park, and the place was just packed with horribly obnoxious people And the spitting...ugh. That was also the day I had a fever and to this day don't actually remember leaving the park... dt

Coaster Expedition Volume 13 is HERE!

Awesome video. And Boulder Dash is not over hyped in any way. I had my doubts until I rode it again last fall (The last time I had been to LC since the year BD first opened), but they were put to rest after the first ride. It is insane fun. dt -
^That is true. One of the endlessly amusing things about the show is how those guys don't get girls, or if they do manage to get some back to the house, there's always some drama that makes the girls leave. That would likely not happen in a second season. I had figured that South Beach would be a likely location for the next season. I love Elissa's idea of Italy, though. That would make for some amazing television... dt

They're doing a second season, but because they want it to be on TV this summer, it likely will not be shot in Jersey. I thought the best suggestion was something I read elsewhere: Send them to a foreign city. Like Paris. That would be amazing... dt

I look forward to it. I love the snow boarding stuff. And the hockey. dt

That needs to become a TV show. dt -
I heard of a cruise ship out of Davonia that allows such actions. Ah, Larry, but you forget that to become a resident of Davonia, you must pass an extensive screening process, which includes making sure you're not an idiot. So that activity is out. However, the Davonia cruise line will offer plenty of fun activities, like Death Metal Karaoke and Gators Vs. Babies: Live on the Promenade Deck... dt

That story reminds me of the one of the things that fascinates yet scares me about cruises: how competitive people are over trivia prizes! Seriously, people argue and almost start fights over a keychain or some other crap. We were accused of "cheating" during one of the music trivia contests, which was so not true. Like we would even care! It's just that I am unbeatable when it comes to identifying horrible '70's & '80's music. But seriously, I want to bring a tranquilizer gun and/or a taser to calm some of these people down... dt

^According to an article on CNN's website, Conan was asked to participate, but declined. dt

Joey, you're right, the Letterman commercial was really good. Forgot about that one. dt

Oh, I know this. I used to work on TV commercials when I lived in LA. I have many amazing stories of ad execs in the editing bay totally destroying commercials with their "creative input". I still think setting me and Ice Bat loose with a video camera is going to come up with a better ad than most of what was shown yesterday. And at a lot lower cost point. dt

I thought this was the worst year for commercials in a very long time. I thought the best one was the Google one, with the Simpsons coke one being second. A couple of the other ones were good (Muno!), but most were just stupid ideas or rehashed crap that we've seen before. AND ENOUGH WITH TALKING BABIES ALREADY!!!! Seriously, not everyone on Earth is amused by babies. Please stop. Watching this year's commercials really made me think that someone needs to hire me and Ice Bat to make ads for them... dt

^Haha, amazing! If you go back and read through this thread, there are many posts from people telling those with actual theme park/entertainment industry backgrounds that they have NO idea what they're talking about and how the park is going to succeed and similar nonsense. Robb's "I TOLD YOU SO!" epic post was just what was needed. Maybe in the future, occasionally, people might stop and think "hmm, maybe someone with years of business experience might know what they're talking about". I doubt this, as this is the internet and all, but I am occasionally hopeful. Still waiting for more hilarious Southern Star Amusements press releases... dt
