  1. ^As someone that has been paid to write a press release, a lot more than what you think. Writing a release is a much more specialized skill than people think it is, at least to put together a good one. Plus, a press release for any large corporation has to have a LARGE number of people sign off on it, including lawyers. Especially if it's a publicly traded company. I really haven't been following any of this "new SF" stuff, but I'd guess not press releases have been issued because this time of year is a horrible time to release news. The holidays just ended. Give them a chance. dt
  2. ^I believe that's tuna, which is perfectly OK to eat raw. I probably have raw tuna once every week or so. One of my favorite foods. dt
  3. ^I like that logo a lot better. This is my current favorite. The only thing I don't like is the font you used for "club". Seems to get a little lost on the card. I'm not a giant fan of the coaster image (like someone said, this site is not just about coasters), but I'm not sure what I'd put there. Maybe fade it a bit to make it not stand out as much? I like this one a lot too. I don't like the bars above "club", and I REALLLY don't like the "victory" dude or whatever that is in the lower right corner, but the rest of it is cool. I might make the name and expiration date stick out a bit more, just so it's easy to see when quickly glancing at the card. Other entries might have had a good idea or two, but didn't really grab me for some reason. A lot of my thoughts have been covered by others (especially Wes), so no need to repeat them. I really am enjoying seeing all the stuff people are coming up with. Keep up the awesome work! dt
  4. ^2010 better bring us a sequel to Mega Shark vs Giant Octopus. Or at least some sort of awesome new shark movie. dt
  5. You use nuclear weapons. Have you not learned anything from SyFy Channel Original Movies? dt
  6. ^I just spit water all over my monitor... dt
  7. I think this is an excellent idea, the cost is more than fair, and I cannot really think of anything that could be added to it. I am not interested in a newsletter/magazine, as like you said, it would contain old information by the time it gets to you. Plus, a print publication costs a lot of money, which could be better spent on the site. But yeah, this idea is awesome, and I'll be signing up. Oh, I do think Ice Bat needs his own membership card... dt
  8. I'm actually collecting the corks to make one now. Using only ones from bottles of wine I drink, so it might take awhile... dt
  9. You made my night with this. Thanks! dt
  10. BEST PARKS EVER. Plus...LAVA MONSTER!!! dt
  11. This is easily in the top five best TPR segments ever. dt
  12. Don't really care about Captain EO (bored me then, will still bore me now), but anything that gets the horror known as HISTA out of a park is a GOOD thing! Hopefully the removal of this travesty will continue chain wide. Now if they could only find a replacement for Stitch... dt
  13. I still say no mega lite will ever be built in the US. At least not without massive trims or some other way to dumb down the air time. dt
  14. I really think anyone that thinks this should be smacked with a board, then with a piece of Intamin track, and then let us know if they can tell the difference. This sounds like a job for Scientist Ice Bat... dt
  15. ^Sad, but not surprising. Hopefully ballots that are there to obviously screw up the poll will get tossed out. dt
  16. This report contains some of the most amazing photos and captions ever. I am in awe. Though it loses a point for not one utterance of "bitch please!". dt
  17. ^Still one of the greatest nights in Orlando ever... dt
  18. That was one of the most fun and insane days ever. dt
  19. ^That was amazing. I don't remember ever seeing that before. dt
  20. Those rides we had on Rampage during the Deep South trip this summer were some of the best coaster rides I have ever had. Even if I thought the coaster was going to eat my bones at some point... dt
  21. I had never had Fat Tire before the West Coast trip. It rules. As does having it at our "open bar time" at both SCBB and Belmont! dt
  22. Same. I still await the day someone puts Ice Bat's Chainsaw & Strippers Spectacular (Now With More Napalm!) into production. Until then, I'll pass on shows... dt
  23. This made me happy. And it's totally the Mega Shark. Though Mr. Squid in the background there has clearly been sent by his nemesis, Giant Octopus, to aid in shark destruction. I smell a sequel!!! This only begins to illustrate the epic amount of alcohol consumed at this table. And I'm pretty sure this is right before we all started playing "Never Have I Ever", which was even more epic. This was the single greatest day on any TPR trip EVER. This report rocks. Looking forward to the next installment... dt
  24. ^^I still think Melissa's pic should be the Official Sales Photo. Millions of hoodies would be sold... dt
  25. NO LINE AT MOE'S?!?!?!? HOLY CRAP!!! There will never, ever be a better Jaws ride. Until we do it next year... dt
