Hey - thanks for the report. Three of us TPR folks (me, eltoroextreme and generaleclectic) live just down the road from you in Savannah! If you ever want someone to go to a park, give us a yell. I've been going to SFoG since I was about 5 and still call it my home park. Mindbender was my first big coaster and is still one of my top steelies and Goliath absolutely rocks my socks. This one had me kind of confused also...I hereby dub him "PLAYER" and that'll be it.

Trims differ from coaster to coaster for me. That being said, I do not understand trimming a first drop. I'm not an engineer, but that just seems odd. Will it ruin a ride for me - not really. I can go on about how "it could have been better," and probably have. But, when it comes down to it - it is not my decision. Did I enjoy my ride? If yes - then I ride again. If no - I go on to the next ride. Sometimes - trims are necessary. On the Mindbender at SFoG (one of my top 10,) if the trims were off - you would get a train full of unconscious people returning to the station. As it has gotten older - it seems to have gotten faster, and that final loop would just take people out. Do they ruin the ride? No. Do they improve the ride? Yes. If I were out cold - how would I enjoy the coaster. Again - I'll ride and if the trims slow it down to the point of boring - there are always other things to do.

The Safety Dance cover was EPIC!! They even did the dance!!! I really enjoyed this episode - and although Sue was only in it breifly - she OWNED. The duet between Shelby and Rachael was, in a word, amazing. I love this show - and cannot wait for the absurdness that will be the Lady GaGa/Kiss episode.

^^^Holiday world has themed areas to different holidays. For example, the Raven and the Legend are in Halloween Land, The Voyage and Pilgrims Plunge are in Thanksgiving Land - There are also rides in 4th of July Land and Christmas Town. It is an AMAZING park. It would even be amazing if there weren't free sodas and sunscreen!

Great pictures! I'm sure you will have a blast with the youngin' I love Holiday World! Just love it, and can't wait till August to get back to it!

^ IMHO, if they balance the "Singer" episodes with the more natural episodes, it will work fine. Kind of like Plot Development episodes (which can get a bit convoluted) with the over the top craziness to balance it out. Plus - I'm eager to see how they handle the just plain nutty weirdness that a Lady Gaga episode can be.

I loved this episode, and I agree that Brittany (the actress) can move! I'm glad others are singing more this season, but I really love it when Rachael belts one out! Also - Total Eclipse of the Heart is one of my FAVORITE cheesy songs. Bonnie Tyler is awesome.

Personally, I think you look fine the way you are, but if the procedure will make YOU feel better, and they are already going to be "in there" anyway - go for it. You are the one who will be looking at it in the mirror every morning, so go with your gut. David

I'm with Larry on this one (both the direction of the parks, and ownership of $0.00 stock .) Six Flags, as a company, is moving in the right direction and I hope they continue to do so. I know, I know, SFA hasn't received a roller coaster in a long time, and I have no idea whether they will receive one soon or not (I'm not a hedge fund or bondholder of any sort.) I just think that the company as a whole needs to keep improving in the basics (cleanliness, guest service, operations, etc...) before they start investing huge amounts of capital on new and expensive rides. Shapiro and his gang are doing the right thing, and his interaction with enthusiasts is a refreshing change. I think/hope that there are good things to come, but we'll need to be patient. I've loved Six Flags since I worked at SFoG in the 80's - so even though I lost money on their stocks, I still want great things to happen for the chain and parks.

Thanks for the photos of two of my favorite places!! I was at SFoG on Easter Sunday - no crowds, no lines, it was awesome!

Loved "Haute Tension" just loved it.

A recurring theme (and mistake in my book) in this thread is taking everything so damned seriously. RELAX!! If you are taking time to enjoy your life - it shows! If you are looking for someone, you bring much more to the table if you are truly happy. If you are with somebody - same! Romance and relationships find you when you aren't really looking for them. My advice - stop looking and start living. Complete yourself and don't wait for someone to complete you. Then - when you do find that special someone, you are ready.

As far as the crowds go and Q-bots - I always love to get a Q-Bot. The thing I found about Dollywood (which I LOVE LOVE LOVE) is that the park looks REALLY crowded, but the lines for the rides are quite short. Alot of their guests are there for shows, etc... The good thing about their Q-bot is that it lets you reserve shows as well. Plus - it was one of the least expensive Q-bots I've ever seen. You are going to have a FANTASTIC time!! Get the Cinnamon Bread from the Grist Mill. It totally gave me a foodgasm.
