  1. Thanks for taking the time to post your PTR. I'd love to get up there for this event sometime. Sounds like a BLAST. David
  2. I'm doing my part - I've voted it my favorite steel in pretty much every coaster poll I've done in the past five years! Same!
  3. ^Thanks! How was the event? I hope you had a great time.
  4. ^^ and ^ Agreed. My homepark is SFoG. I love that park and have been going there for decades (even worked there for 2 years.) Would I vote it Best? Nope. Any of the coasters the best? Nope. I'm happy that Goliath showed in the top 10, but I know I've ridden better steel coasters. You know...I'm kind of irritated that Mindbender at SFoG didn't rank highly. IMHO it beats the crap out of a lot of coasters on that list
  5. Don't you DARE jinx the flying carpet! I'm not going to speak of it until I see it go in... no jinx! AMEN BROTHER!! It shan't be mentioned again lest it get F*#$@d up.
  6. Thanks for posting these! I never - ever go to the waterparks in Orlando, and I have absolutely no idea why. LOVED the dramatic effect picture as well. I'm going to have to make it a point to get there next year. David
  7. As always, a huge thank you Hanno! Your pictures are always wonderful, and you are sneaky. You get truly candid shots of people on the trips. I always love seeing your reports as they bring me back to the trip.
  8. My cats would have DESTROYED that place. They are hateful Actually - they would have found the tiniest little crevice to crawl into, then get stuck, then howl until someone disassembled some crazy piece of Swedish furniture to retrieve them. Upon their release, they would then turn and attack the rescuer, jump to the ground, find another crevice and repeat the whole process over again.
  9. I love this stuff! Anyone who knows me will know that the Voyage's ranking has me tickled pink, but I really don't understand it. I know that I LOVE the Voyage and it's layout, but it has gotten pretty brutal in the past year or so. I'm looking forward to the Timberliners, etc... but really? I thought that only rabid, foaming-at-the-mouth fanboys like myself would still call it #1 Just call me happily confused. David
  10. ^ Isn't RECC the one where you basically feel like you are shooting at kids on skateboards? I thought it was kind of odd, but fun and endearing to my twisted little heart .
  11. nah - he's not afraid of them. He hung with Christiana a lot on the last trip, and she's one of the wildest of them all!! :hugs: to Mike and Christiana - love you guys.
  12. I'd never thought of that. Now I'm giggling like a fool at the office again and people think I'm crazier than normal.
  13. How many do you recon are still in there? I know when we went to IKEA, it needed a guide to find my way out. For some reason, I wish I had been there - sounds like fun (for me at least, the cats were probably very freaked out.) David
  14. Dave - I always love seeing your trip reports, since they are from WAY off the beaten path for me. I giggled when I saw the TGI Fridays in Quatar. I worked for them a LONG LONG time ago and they were really just starting the international openings. Jhakarta Indonesia was a pain in the butt to get opened and operational back then - now they have them all over the place, including Quatar. Thanks again - love seeing these. D.
  15. Thanks for the trip report! I loved the Captions taking a break bit. Made me happy. I've been to BGW several times, but every time I see pictures I'm still astounded at what an amazing and beautiful park it is. Miss the Big Bad Wolf though...I just really liked that ride. David
  16. Well the whole thing was so damned rediculous anyhow. ^I agree! I've never, EVER, wanted to serve in the armed forces. I'm not against them in any what whatsoever, but would be MISERABLE. I do, however, have friends who serve and live in terror that they will be "found out." Ever hear the joke - Question: "why don't they want to let gays in the military?" Answer: "20 guys with assault rifles turning to someone and saying, "who you callin' faggot?" D
  17. Looks great! I love the color thing, but after a bit - it starts to look like cotton candy hair. The solid color looks good. I remember once - had Manic Panic Pillarbox Red hair. That lasted for about a week and looked cool - then I looked like Ronald McDonald - then like Frenchy from Grease. D
  18. Are we REALLY already having an OTSR debate about this? REALLY???
  19. I live in Savannah. SFoG is about a 4 1/2 hour drive from here.
  20. Getting hit in those bumper cars is like being in a real car accident Those things were AWESOME! During the East Coast Tour in 2008 we had a TPR takeover of the Knoebels Bumper Cars. I'm truly suprised someone didn't die. David
  21. Thanks for taking the time to post these. I've enjoyed reading through your trip report and great job on a 1st one. David
  22. Thanks for posting these. I absolutely loved Knoebels when we were there last. Tell me you guys rode the carousel and grabbed for the rings though. David
  23. Good for them! I'll be going in a couple of weeks to experience their Halloween event. Looking forward to it. I've noticed a TON of changes for the better in the last year or so.
  24. Brandon - awesome pictures as always! It did make me smile seeing people enjoying a day at a traditional mom-n-pop park. Hopefully this is a sign of better things to come for "The Little Park that Could" (or couldnt )
