The Looping-Slide strikes back!
CP_RULES replied to DragonKhan's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Think of the Gs needed to go through a loop keeping them positive the whole time. Now think how uncomfortable that'd be on a water slide. I think I might go on it, but Id be damn scared. -
Ive ridden the sling shot at SFStL and to be honest, I think that it is a complete waste of money. Sure its a good thrill, but it only lasts a couple seconds while your screaming towards the sky, the rest is just boring bouncing around. I feel the same way about skycoasters, the thrill is only there for that initial drop, then its boring. I understand that these things have to be up-charge to keep lines short, but I dont think I would pay to ride either one again.

Zuber, a Terrained Woodie
CP_RULES replied to Calaway Park's topic in Roller Coaster Games, Models, and Other Randomness
Ive noticed that you have uploaded a lot of tracks in a little amount of time and it makes me wonder if your just uploading these for uploads sake. This coaster seemed like it was made in a hurry. Banking was off, and there were many jerks throughout the track. You have some great potential as a NL designer, you just need to spend more time perfecting every aspect of your coaster before uploading it. No harm intended here. -Justin Seabaugh -

I guess the brakes after the launch are to make sure you dont enter this roll going too fast, can you imagine going through that at 70 instead of 50 or 60? This thing looks CRAZY.... I cant wait! -

I guess I have a few new videos to DL tomorrow. Great TR, I cant wait to watch the vids, yours are always great. -
*PLEASE NOTE- This coaster was made using NL1.6 and IMPROVED TRACK FRICTION. Riding with NL1.5 may provide for different and unintended riding conditions.* Named after a midievil war catapult, Trebuchet is a wild GCI twister that packs some nice forces in its relatively short ride. The ride includes many highly banked turns (only ONE 90* turn) and tight airtime hills. Strap yourself in and hold on as Trebuchet catapults you down its signature s-curve drop into many fun and disorienting elements. Stats- Top Speed- 52mph (achieved at three different times) Height- 126feet Length- 2994feet Maximum banking- 90* (one turn) Trains- 2 Cars per train- 8 Fearues- S-curve first drop (Yes, I did make this after Renegade was announced and yes this ride was influenced by it.) Airtime A 90* banked turn Horseshoe turnaround (for lack of an actual name) Tests- E-stop- Passes Tunnel- Passes ^Overview #1. ^Horseshoe turnaround. ^Overview #2. ^The 90* turn. ^The s-curve first drop. ^Another view of the turnaround. *PLEASE RATE AT COASTERSIMS.COM* Trebuchet.nltrack *PLEASE RATE AT COASTERSIMS.COM*

My No Limits 1.6 Video
CP_RULES posted a topic in Roller Coaster Games, Models, and Other Randomness
I was bored so I decided to make a video showcasing all of the new and updated coaster designs in NL (except for the updated eurofighter). The video can be seen HERE! However, before you watch Im giving you fair warning that the quality is not the best. Also, please note that most of the coasters showcased in the video WERE NOT MADE BY ME! A few were, but most are the tracks that came with the update. Enjoy! -

^In my experiences the iproved friction slowed down the train MORE, maybe Im wrong but thats what I thought. -
Cedar Fair Maxx Passes
CP_RULES replied to larrygator's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
What do you mean by this? I was planning on buying one of these from WOF and using it at CP also, are you saying Im going to have to pay extra to get into CP with my WOF pass? Doesnt that defeat the purpose? -
Are the dimensions we see on paper going to be the actual demensions we see in the model? If so, Im not so sure the train will be able to traverse some of those tight rolls. Thinking back to when I built K'nex coasters, you lose A LOT of speed in any type of "roll". The trains are going to have to be pretty articulated to make it through the circuit, and you going to have to have good friction control too. -Justin "I hope it all works out" Seabaugh

CP_RULES replied to the_rock401's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Im not so sure you understand the coaster world. Think about this: SFMM has Riddler's Revenge, correct? The coaster is also a steel B&M with inversions, correct? Well then, using your theories, why would they want Scream!, B:TR, or Tatsu, which to my knowledge are all steel B&M coasters with inversions. Heck, why would they want Deja Vu, Revolution, Viper, or X, which are also all steel coasters with inversions? Your theory is flawed my friend, most parks like to have a variety of steel and wood, and one wooden coaster usually is not enough. Now to directly answer your question, Im sure Valleyfair chose this coaster for a few reasons: 1- They need a new woodie 2- GCI provided a design that delivered 3- GCI provided a design that was cheap (relatively speaking). I dont understand why everyone is b!tching about this coaster, Ive said it before and Ill say it again, Renegade looks SWEET! -

I completely agree, I think this looks awesome, and if screamscape is right on their rumors for Dorney and WOF, I cant wait to ride something similar in '09. -Justin "Willing to feel you on this.... " Seabaugh -

I dont understand why all of you people are whining about how this coaster "sucks." Honestly, I think this coaster is one of the best looking out of all the '07s so far. I know you guys have a right to you opinion and all, but c'mon, this thing looks SWEET! -
