My guess is the lift will have rollback things on it so that it is possible for a stop, but it may not, anyone else know? -

^^^I figured that much was so, thats why I put "In the video atleast". It would be cool if they held the launch though so that it did duel. Though highly unlikely, I think it would be cool. -Justin "Maybe have the drive through there for when your waiting to launch" Seabaugh -

Did anyone else notcie that they time the launch so that it duels? The trains meet (in the video atleast) at the drop, on the wierdo dive thing (stengal dive?) and on the last air hill. Looks sweet. -

Ameritown [A 3DAC PARK]
CP_RULES replied to CP_RULES's topic in Roller Coaster Games, Models, and Other Randomness
^The park area where all of the rides are is mostly flat. However, the areas surrounding are very hilly and stuff. I might go back in and landscape more where possible, especially behind Lake Kuester which was actually slated to be a water park and more rides, but got cancelled. But yea, I guess Ill make one more update of the park just "beauty-fied", then Ill release it for your riding pleasure -

Day 2- The day started out a little rainy, but it stopped in about an hour and left us with perfect coaster riding conditions. ^Walking up to the park, these are the ticket booths. ^The first thing we did was buy this postcard at the giftshop. Now I dont remember the rest of the order of what we did, but here are the pics: ^Kuester Kork from the Kuester Lake Canoes conveniently located on Kuester Lake ^American Scream's loops from the canoes. ^Spirit of America from Thunderhawk's first drop. Kind of ironic huh? ^A random park pic taken from Thunderhawk's first drop (yes the lift is that slow). ^Thunderhawk and Spirit of America from Mission Space. ^Another random pic taken from Mission Space. It took a few rides on Mission Space to get all of these pics. This is Freedom Flyer. Here comes the descriptive section of the PTR- Mission Space is tall. ^Kuester Kork is sexy. ^Spirit Of America is new. ^Though its restored, the Ameritown Cafe (the red part) is old. ^American Scream's entrance is artistic. ^Kuester Kork's station is modern. ^Freedom FIGHTER is wet. ^Thunderhawk is classic. ^The lake is scenic. ^Ditto from the caption above. [/descriptive-ness] ^Right before the last drop on the log flume (Extreme Splash). ^An overview of the park taken by helicopter. Thats the end of my Photo TR, I hope you enjoyed it (and look for a download of the park soon too!). -

I really like to see these old photos, even thought I cant relate to them (I wasnt even born then!), I still feel like they are close to me and they still bring back old memories. Is that all the park had back then? -

Here are some pictures of the park taken last week on our trip. DAY ONE- ^We got to the park a day early so we decided to buy night passes and spend a couple hours at the park. ^The park is beautifully lit at night. This is Freedom Flyer. ^One of the two carousels. ^The Thunderhawk entrance is not as extravagant as the other coasters' entrances. ^Spirit Of America's lift hill has red lights going all the way up it, it looks amazing at night. I like the station too. ^American Scream. ^Thunderhawk is also lit up at night. ^Little American and Mission Space. ^The Kuester Lake section of the park is themed to feel woodsy. ^Extreme Splash's final drop offers a bit of airtime... ^...and a lot of splash. ^Keuster Kork from the top of Extreme Splash's final drop. ^Now the exact opposite, Extreme Splash from Kuester Kork. DAY TWO- Day two started off a little rainy when we first got to the park, but it stopped in an hour or so, and really kept the crowds down which was good! Ill update with pictures from day two A.S.A.P. Thanks for reading! -

I only watched the vid once, then I deleted it. Now Im kind of mad that I did that because I didnt see the bobsled coasters anywhere in the vid. Right now Im re-downloading it (but I have dial-up). Did anyone see the bobsled coasters? If so, please post a screenshot. -

Looks like RCDB needs to update their page, it still says its SBNO. -Justin "Yay for Morgan coasters!" Seabaugh -
While it may not be the tallest, longest, or most thrilling ride in the world, Desert Scream is sure to be fun. Meant to be family friendly and to have a small footprint, Desert Scream would be perfect for Six Flag's new image of family friendly. Desert Screm modestly boasts some twisted sections, lots of headchoppers, and some airtime. I hope you enjoy the completly handmade track, and dont forget to rate! --Tests-- E-stop= Passes Tunnel Test= Passes --Stats-- Top Speed- 52mph Height- 103 feet Drop- 82 feet Length- 2781 feet Trains- 2 Cars Per Train- 6 Blocks- 5 *Dont forget to ride in the sunset environment that comes with the game* *PLEASE RATE AT COASTERSIMS* Desert Scream1.0.nltrack

Note- I had started this park before John (Coasterdude5) or Zack (kennywood007!) released their American themed parks, so please dont say Im copying. Anyways, the coaster101 community got a sneak peak of this park a while back, and Ive been dilligently working on it ever since. I took many screenshots but they are not re-sized yet so pictures will come later. For now, here is a history of Ameritown: In March of 1921, Frank Mannery started construction of his small coffee shop. He decided to locate it just outside of the small town of Grand Island, Nebraska on Kuester Lake. The shop opened on July 4, 1921 and was properly named Ameritown Café. It wasn’t until two years later in 1923 that Frank decided to turn his cafe into a theme park. He first added two carousels and a canoe dock on the lake. Later in 1935, Frank added the first coaster to the park. Standing only 58 feet high, and traveling only 38mph, Thunderhawk isn’t a giant thrill ride by today’s standards. However, back then, Thunderhawk was a state-of-the art thrill machine. After the first coaster was erected, the park pretty much has steadily grown. In 1948, Little American was added to the park. It is a 20 foot tall kiddie coaster that offers a 27mph journey through multiple helices and drops. In 1963, Timber Tumbler was added to the park. The coaster was built by PTC and stood 120feet tall. In 1971 for their 50th anniversary, Extreme Splash was added to the back of the park. ES stands 58 feet tall and reaches an unheard of (for a log flume) 43mph. In 1981, for their 60th anniversary celebration, Ameritown added two coasters to their coaster collection. Kusester kork is a 45mph, 77 foot tall corkscrew coaster from Arrow. The coaster is painted yellow and contains three inversions. American Scream is a 116 foot tall, 54mph shuttle coaster from Schwarzkopf that features two loops and two airtime hills. The coaster goes forward and backward through the loops. Soon after their 60th anniversary however, Ameritown started to lose money. Timber Tumbler had to be removed in order to balance the losses in 1989. In 1999, the park declared bankruptcy and was soon to be shut down. The park was not set to open for the 2000 season. However, The Third Dimension Amusement Company bought the park in early 2000. Though the park was closed for its 2000 season, it opened its doors once again in 2001, completely revamped. Thunderhawk was re-tracked, and two brand new thrill machines were added. Mission Space is a duel launch tower from S&S. Also, Ameritown added Freedom Flyer. Standing 148feet tall and launching riders to 63mph into and over banked curve and a sea serpent, then doing it all over again backwards, Freedom Flyer was an instant hit. The park was back in business again and soon became one of the most widely known parks around, but Ameritown still hadn’t hit its peak. In 2005, S&S rides inc. built a 50 million dollar 4th dimension coaster at Ameritown. Spirit of American is the largest capital investment in park history. Standing 137 feet tall and reaching 54mph, Spirit of America is one crazy beast. You will be turned fully upside-down by the track 5 times throughout the course. With SoA, Ameritown was officially on the map, and there’s surely more to come. So that was my horrible history report of Ameritown. I’m pretty sure you didn’t read it, but that’s okay. Pictures coming soon once re-sized. I am nearly done with the park, this is so I will actually finish it this time (unlike Oasis Park). ^Timber Tumbler before it was taken out. ^The old cafe which still stands (restored) today.
