  1. Those are some really funny expressions! You should send those pics to the Ellen show. She likes to put things like this on her show. Im sure she would get a kick out of it, and who knows, she might air some of them on tv.
  2. Well you would have to be pretty dumb to not notice the similarities. OOps sorry! The Gp is dumb. How far are these 2 parks from each other anyway?
  3. You see that is just one of the things I dont like about Cedar Point. You would think it would be slow opening week, and BOOM here come all the kiddies, and all the damn busses in the parking lot. It's very hard to plan a trip here around the crowds, it just depends on luck I guess, but you must go here early in the season regardless. I went last week of May- after Memorial Day, 2 years ago, and made out pretty good. There were some school groups , but not many, and they leave early (thank god). It just amazes me that pretty much any other seasonal amusement park you go to very early in the season is not crowded at all, but not this park. Funny though I did Kings Island first, then CP and KI had less people in the park on a weekday.
  4. A line for Wildcat? Seriously! Yet the line for MF looked really short! Unless you took that early in the day or late in the day. I also could never understand their seatbelt policy on almost every ride. But don't feel bad, it looks like you fit perfectly on the Giant Wheel! LOL! Was this on a Saturday? You gotta expect lots of people here, I mean it is America's Rollercoast.
  5. That pre-show seems a bit too long. I felt like I was at Universal Studios. How did SF get the rights for this?
  6. Did you guys win free Disneyland tickets at the swap meet? That could be the reason you weren't there that day.
  7. Looks nice. But I still don't understand why Six Flags added Goliath, when SeaWorld right nearby, also has a clone of the ride. (Great White)
  8. If you stay right near the park , you will probably pay at least $80-$100 dollars a night. Those hotels are expensive, but some have food and transportation to the park, so it may balance itself out, especially if you have no car.
  9. Just wondering if May 27 and 28 are good days to go? During the week, after Memorial Day .
  10. The absolute BEST time to visit KNott's is in October on a weekday. The park is virtually yours to choose any ride multiple times, and then in the evening is The Haunt. Works for me everytime. Since it is Haunt time there are really no major rides down for refurbishment. It is your best bet to ride everything, that is if you can go in October.
  11. I will be hitting the park on May 27 and 28. Hopefully it wont be to crowded since the holiday weekend is over and it is during the week. I would avoid that place like the plague on the weekends. Im sure Terminator's line won't be as long either as opening weekend. Are schools in this area out yet? (Hopefully not) I did hear they are having the first ever Grad Night on Wednesday from 10pm to 2am.
  12. Just 2 things I noticed: 1. Patriot's station looks like a ski lodge. Does not look very patriotic. 2. Miley Cyrus. Awesome music? Yikes! Give me 80's instead.
  13. I wasnt really impressed by this park when I went last year. One train operations on 2 coasters did not help at all. (Roar and Kong) Tony Hawk was just average to me. Basically a short family coaster, not even worth the long line. Th eonly 2 rides I enjoyed were Medusa and V2 (surprisingly the shortest line!) I could only do 1 ride on all these except V2. I saw the line for Roar and was disgusted and left the park.
  14. Belantis looks like you are walking thru a charming little town.
  15. Plopsaland looks really nice! Sort of a combination of Busch Europe and Disney like theming. One question, what does that speedboat ride do? Legoland has one of these I think. Is it like a teacup ride? You spin it?
  16. Wow that seems expensive! Plus add to that these trips are in the middle of summer when parks are busiest and the weather is waaayyyy to hot in the south. Not to be negative, it's great you are doing these trips but I prefer my coasters/parks offseason with minimal waits and cooler weather. Works for me everytime. That price does not include flights either does it? MOD EDIT by larrygator: Yes, off season park trips result in less crowds, but a multi-park trip is impossible with weekend only schedules during the off season.
  17. Why did Cedar Point remove Jumbo Jet and keep Wildcat? JJ seems the more exciting and thrilling of the two. Where these rides hard to maintain?
  18. They have Congo Falls? Right next to Invertigo.
  19. I wonder what other parks will buy this ride, since most theme parks already have a shoot the chutes type of ride. Any big parks out there that don't have one? Or medium parks?
  20. I cannot get the download link. What am I doing wrong? I received an email but no link to download.
  21. I cant understand why those people go on a Saturday? Especially if most of them are locals. Makes no sense to me.
  22. Wow! April is THE best time to go. How cold was it? The Whizzer looks fun. I am glad the park is keeping it (for now).
  23. Well, did he actually own the rides or did he lease them from a carnival? And did he at one point actually try to buy THRILLER (4 loop portable Schwarzkopf) ? Would have been interesting if he did. It might not have ended up at Six Flags at all.
  24. Does anyone have any pics of this TOGO Wildstorm?
