  1. I haven't been on wildcat in a few years so I don't really remember wildcat but I was just on thunderhawk in October and didn't find it rough at all. Not sure if the new trains made a difference or not cause I hadn't been there in quite some time before that.
  2. Amazing they would complain about cell phones when the majority of them complaining are probably on their own phones most of their time there. The Xmas stuff there looks great, I'm a very causal Disney parks fan. I have fun when I go but wouldn't care if I didn't go but my gf would absolutely love going there for that Xmas event. One of these years, we already have too many things planned lol
  3. I go on a Disney theme park message board from time to time because there is some great info about the parks admist all the complaining. If you ever want a good laugh though head over there and read about this or the cabanas. You would think it was the worst thing that ever happened in the world.
  4. There is nothing like riding Nitro in 20 something degree weather at night. Amazing!
  5. Nitro was awesome, I'm glad I wore some gloves though, my hands were still cold but I loved it haha About the record... This is a major fail for the park pr wise. They have a set limit for the amount of couples for the record. Lots of unhappy people on line now. I don't complain about the park much but this is just silly. They should have announced the amount of couples in advance that they needed. Now they have people waiting in a line that are going to be unhappy. Silly when this could have been easily avoided.
  6. I'm going today, gonna do the Guinness world record thing as well, I'm ready for some cold nitro rides!
  7. I'm just going to quote this again because it's perfect and describes so much about how I feel about the internet everyday. Especially this part: "There's literally nothing to bitch about here but rather than not bitching and being happy, we're complaining about " On the bright side at least it seems like everyone besides the one temporary banned complainer here is really happy about this announcement. I haven't looked at peoples comments on Facebook or other social media but I always find people to be way more negative on there and the other forms of social media vs this forum. I'll be down in Orlando in March/April so I'll miss this but I'm debating coming back down around September and hopefully will get to have a blast riding this.
  8. I'm finally getting to this park in a few months, it's a shame they have to close that part, from the pictures I looked at it looked like a great experience. Sucks for all the people who lost their jobs right before the holidays as well. Hopefully the company as a whole has a good year next year. I have loved SeaWorld Orlando every time I've been and looking forward to getting down to Busch Gardens Tampa for a few days next year. I'm buying a plantiumn pass for Williamsburg for the first time next year and looking forward to visiting multiple times.
  9. I haven't been on them yet but the 3 rides at the Las Vegas stratosphere will definitely have me second guessing myself but I'll still try them whenever I get out there. The skyscreamer at six flags new England when it was really windy made me a little nervous lol
  10. The only thing I have to complain about is that I'll be missing this, volcano bay and Pandora land by a few months. Gives me more to look forward to the next time I'm down there. If it's even remotely as fun as white lightning it will be amazing. I can't wait.
  11. Palisades amusement park in NJ. My mother still talks about the place from time to time and I found some footage on YouTube of the place to show her and she was thrilled to watch it. Being able to go back to that time with her would be really cool. Here's the list of coasters there... http://www.palisadespark.com/coasters.html Some more info... https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Palisades_Amusement_Park What a catchy commercial lol.. [youtu_be] [/youtu_be] And this singer Freddie Cannon even wrote a song about the place [youtu_be] [/youtu_be]
  12. Lol yup both ways are absolutely crazy. I don't even know where the time went.
  13. This is what's crazy about this project to me, I remember them breaking ground for it in 2004 because it affected the parking situation at the arena where the NHL Devils play.... The Devils a year later broke ground on their new arena in Newark, got it built and now next season it will be their 10th year in the new arena and this place still isn't open lol
  14. Besides being really excited to see the Nintendo additions I wonder if this relationship with Universal is what finally gets Nintendo to put their characters into some movies. These cgi cartoon movies are the perfect thing for so many Nintendo franchises.
  15. I bring in a tiny 8oz bottle of water with me cause it fits in one of my pockets with no problems and I just refill it at the fountains.
  16. Thanks, that would be perfect, that's what I'm hoping for.
  17. Does anyone know when Carowinds announces the schedule for next year? I'll be driving by at the end of March and hoping to stop in for a day or two.
  18. Just horrible, this video is really scary... [youtu_be]https://youtu.be/w16UMTcOKck[/youtu_be]
  19. Thanks for this, I'll be down there next year and now I'll easily ride white lighting as much as I possibly can one night lol
  20. Lift Hill for me based simply on the ability to re-ride. I enjoy kindga ka but I can't imagine going on it over and over again like I can with El Toro or Nitro.
  21. I bought Six Flags and Cedar Fair season passes along with the dining plans so most of these trips will be just paying for gas and hotels as I just drive everywhere. I also plan on buying a Busch Gardens one since I'm going to Florida next year and it will give me a good excuse to go to Williamsburg for a bunch of weekend getaways next year. I have some trips in mind but really depends on scheduling. Confirmed parks Six Flags Great Adventure Six Flags New England Six Flags America Six Flags Great Escape Dorney Park Kings Dominion Busch Gardens Williamsburg Busch Gardens Tampa Bay SeaWorld Orlando Aquatica Orlando Epcot Hershey Park Knobels Rye Playland Coney Island / Luna park (yeah I've lived in NYC my entire life but never visited here, I hate driving to and dealing with anything to do with Brooklyn so I've been delaying this for years lol) Trying to plan Carowinds Cedar Point Kings Island Dollywood Kennywood Waldameer Lakemont Kentucky Kingdom On the fence for these... Universal Islands of Adventure (for hulk and King Kong, I was just in Orlando in January and did all the Disney parks and Universal Studios so that's why I don't plan on going back next year) Hershey Park season pass - I do love this park but just not sure if I'll bother with a season pass, I may just go once or twice for the year. Just not sure if I'll get my moneys worth out of it.
  22. What's everyones thoughts about these $650 tents that you can rent for the day near space mountain? The quality of the setup looks more like something at a six flags park then something I'd expect from Disney.
  23. Almost every single time I ride El Toro I end up on a train where people have a hard time getting the seats to verify lol I know it's not your guys fault. I've also seen idiots who just don't listen and they pull the lap bar down first before locking their seat belts which causes even a longer delay when the car has to be unlocked. Yeah there's always chunky monkeys in the park who don't know how to buckle seat belts. Another weird fact, the first few weeks Toro was open, there was no system to tell you what cars were not verified. You might hear the operator calling car 4, car 5, etc which means that car isn't verified. But back then, you just had to guess which car was not verified. And if you had to unlock a car, you had to unlock the entire train. Now we can unlock individual cars. Wow I can't even imagine what a pain in the ass that must have been between that and the long lines for it just opening. I enjoy reading all the info, you guys do a great job.

  25. I'm really curious to see how the virtual lines will work out since everyone in the park will be using it. If it becomes successful I'm curious to see if they eventually add these to their other parks as well and possibly other theme parks start trying stuff like this as well.
