  1. Did you happen to notice if Thunderhawk was still standing?
  2. Pretty confident that WOF will be one of the parks getting a dark ride next year. I think CP will ride out Valravn next year with a small addition if anything. That's their usual SOP following a coaster.

  4. Finally. Everyone was on pins and needles in anticipation.
  5. The REASON you go to USH is the backlot tour. You can't get that experience at USO. The rides though? I concur.

  7. That's SOP with the Forbidden Journey down in Orlando so I'd expect that to be the case in Hollywood too
  8. I wouldn't mind the Orient or Europa. Pretty safe bet that Troika will go where Rock'n'Reeler was by Patriot
  9. Yep. They had to move it because the Scrambler pad is not ADA compliant
  10. Yes. Nothing gets me quite as hot as driving through a brand new toll gate.
  11. Sounding like the two Huss flats will open later on in the season but the Planet Snoopy expansion should be ready by opening day.
  12. $$$ and to what extent. GR is out of commission whereas TW and CIC will be open for most of the season
  13. Are you confusing the installation at SFSTL with the installation at WOF?
  14. Both Intimidators opened in 2010. Prowler opened in 2009.
  15. Looking at aerial maps of the park - wish they'd put Condor in the Orient section. It could go behind Rickshaw Richard's or between Bamboozler and Voyager. It would just be nice to have a new ride over there.
  16. It said it averaged out to about $7M per ride. That doesn't mean each ride cost exactly $1M each to buy, refurb, transport, install.
  17. I did read the whole article - which is why I posted it in the WOF thread. Your post sounded like you thought one of the 7 rides might come to MIA or VF and I stated they had been spoken for. Nowhere did you say anything about hoping one of the rides from their next trek might come to your park and I don't see how we were supposed to gather that conclusion from what you wrote
  18. In essence, yes - but the old Berries and Cream is completely gone and this is a new building. Berries and Cream was never a permanent building. It was added one year as an ODV for a festival and it proved so popular it never went away. The t-shirt air brush stand south of the Saloon is another one
  19. Ridership is low because it is stuck back there by itself. Honestly if you aren't exiting Timber Wolf, you really have no reason to go by it. Now if the Triotech Dark Ride (rumored) gets put in that area, the ridership for the ride might go up significantly. Well if that was the problem they could have just tried relocating it to a new spot in the park where it could get more guests, so I think it was mainly removed because it required lots of maintenance -that is if it was even removed which it probably wasn't But it's still standing. Ridership was low last year because TimberWolf was closed a good portion of the start of the season for reprofiling. Then the entire section was closed during HAUNT. The previous season Thunderhawk was closed most of the season for a refurb. So people just got used to it being closed. If the park puts something else in the area, I'm sure the ride would get more riders
  20. They may get some from the Japan trip but according to the LA Times only Carowinds and WOF are getting rides from the Europe trip. 7 picked. 5 to Carowinds. 2 to WOF.
