  1. I just keep thinking that this ride could have been put where Inverter is and then they could have left the flume.
  2. Did you guys lose your topspin this off season too? They seem to be disappearing quickly from the chain's parks.
  3. So was Thunderhawk sent elsewhere in the chain for parts or straight to the metal yard? That area of the park is going to be a ghost town this year (if they even bother to open it)
  4. I guess I'm missing how this looks any different than Banshee's track?!?
  5. Please. Do you really think such a muted color would go to a CF park?
  6. Well it is OBVIOUSLY for Valleyfair (if you go by their thread) But in all seriousness, could it be SDC's?
  7. I thought that the post you referenced was clear enough. One could also argue that without Detonator, Power Tower would not exist. Also mentioned in the thread several times is how you VF fanboys keep pointing at the "growth park" comment as the "source" for the foaming. The fact is, VF has received the same or lower in terms of capital expenditures when compared to other parks in the chain since the comment was first made. One would think if the company was serious about it you would have seen a significant increase in CES but that's not been the case. Really hard to market infrastructure improvements Do You really think that Cedar Fair has the Capital expenditure funds to do all three parks at once? or even 2 parks at once? Like I said, CF has been building the infrastructure at VF for at least 5 to 7 years now. When they decide to follow through on their comments VF will be ready for the increased attendance. Remember, a few years ago they built a completely new catering facility in Picnic Point that seats thousands and can produce 3000 meals an hour. So far, I've never seen it come close to full. So why build it? Next, VF has a pending permit to have the Army Corp of Engineers extend the berm around the park to the west that would effectively add at least 30% more buildable space. VF has the land to expand, its just going to cost more because of the improvements needed to develop the land. Mr. Ouimet doesn't just utter meaningless words. Everything he says publicly is carefully orchestrated due to the fact that CF is a publicly traded corp. One may ask why VF did not get any of the used flats they gathered in Europe and WOF gets two and Carowinds get the rest. Is it maybe because VF already has a superior line up of flats to either park? Naw, couldn't be that! Well maybe it could. I've been to Carowinds not to long ago and while its a great park it did really lack a good flat ride line up. And if you want to call me a VF fanboy, I'll gladly accept that compliment thank you very much! No I do not - which has been the gist of my comments since the start. I also feel that VF will move down the priority list now with CGA taking over the top priority here in the coming years. The ROI will be higher and faster there than VF due to a larger market and a longer operating season. Regarding the flat ride lineup comment - you probably need to take another look at that and revise your statement. If you want to take pride in being called a VF fanboy, more power to you.
  8. Can and will are two different things. Up above you bragged about PT. I'll take Detonator over PT any day. At least you get a pop of air at the top of Detonator. PT is extremely boring for a Space Shot and not much better on the Turbo Drop side. I get it. You're a fan boy of VF and that's cute. However the ride selection is bigger and better at WOF. There is not a single attraction at VF that does not have an equal (if not better) attraction it can be compared to at WOF - and the sad part is that even covers Haunt. >Accuses poster of being a fanboy >Procedes to boast how much better of a park theirs is Is it me or do I find this quote ironic? OP was acting like a fanboy Poster responding was showing how OP's post bashing another park to "build up" their park was inaccurate Does not fit perameters of being an irony

  10. So along the lines of the new petting zoo at MiA?
  11. I-305 was a let down for me because I don't care for the brown out sensation. I got to ride it before modifications and now in its current form. I have tried all of the tricks I know to minimize the brown out but nothing has worked. To me, it's a scary sensation that I just don't enjoy and for that reason I skip the ride now on my visits and instead ride Volcano more (which is also overrated, but I can at least enjoy it).
  12. I get it. You are a fan boy of WoF and that's precious. However you prefer it to any park that doesn't have a giga. There is not a single ride at WoF that will bring in crowds from across the country unlike the parks you consider WoF to be equal to (if not better) - and the sad part is you have been forcing your opinion on us for more than five pages. Really? I "forced" my opinion on "us"? Didn't realize I held such authority and power. How about this. Take your butthurt to bed and get over the fact that most of the amusement community does not think that Valleyfair is the most amazing place in the world like you do. Sure WOF isn't the most spectacular park either but at least it has coasters that claim major honors. TimberWolf was ranked #1 coaster in the world. Prowler was ranked best new ride in 2009. I don't remember VF ever having a prestigious title bestowed upon any of its rides... but you know what, that's fine. Most parks in the chain haven't either. But regarding your post, at least you tried - but let's cool it on the hyperbole
  13. Have you even been to WOF? I'm guessing not by your post.
  14. Do we have anymore info on the Season Passholder preview day?
  15. It's "NorCal" FWIW. You'll sound like a tourist if you call it "NoCal"
  16. Might as well hit up COMO Town while you're up there AND if you're up for it, the Alpine Coaster at Spirit Mountain in Duluth is worth a trip up there.
  17. Well at least we have confirmation that Thunderhawk is gone now. I have to admit that they might as well close off that entire section and use the Haunt exit for TimberWolf this season. There is absolutely no need to have guests in that area with nothing in there. Both Huss rides can go in that area along with the Triotech ride to completely reinvent that area. We knew Crazy Cars were leaving after last year. I don't know why they need additional storage there unless it's for Haunt but it seems a shame that another ride is leaving. Snoopy Bounce is no big loss. Love the awning/facade for Beagle Brigade
  18. Can and will are two different things. Up above you bragged about PT. I'll take Detonator over PT any day. At least you get a pop of air at the top of Detonator. 19. The long and short of it is that VF fans are constantly predicting that THIS is the season that (insert huge attraction that had little chance of ever materializing) will be added. They then point at an article that states "VF is a growth park" as proof. WOF fans (which is really a poor generalization of a much larger group of posters) point and laugh at these posts because other than the article there has not been any real evidence to support this. VF has been consistent with their annual small additions (or a lack of one altogether) and most logical posters do not see that changing. WOF on the other hand has seen a relocated Windseeker, a large Pkanet Snoopy expansion and 2 confirmed Huss legacy rides. I just feel that if VF was a high priority park it'd would have had some rides earmarked fur it as well.
  20. It's a Friday. Not everyone participates in such a juvenile "holiday"
