  1. I heard they had to switch launch manufacturers. TAER IT DOWN!!!1!!1
  2. Sorry hadn't made it over there yet. Rode TimberWolf and it is like a brand new ride.... until you get into the helix. Please hurry up next two seasons so this project gets finished. What's going on here?
  3. So WOF has both Freestyle and Refill stations now. I imagine your refill stations will look similar
  4. If you are headed out to Preview Night, plan ahead. Only ONE toll gate open.
  5. Boomerang cars are still in Lot B. I guess that confirms it will be closed tomorrow
  6. Ours was doomed from the start when decided it would be a good idea to drown it in water without a water tight gondola.
  7. Still need to install the lift track
  8. So back to these "surprises" that have happened in the park. Any word other than the vague original post?
  9. This was uncalled for. Chill... What's sad is when sarcasm / a joke goes over your head and you think the person is being serious. I guess if you feel one ride makes a park than either place is just amazing. Personally Veruckt is just "ok". I guess since its in my backyard and I could ride it anytime it's not a big deal (to me). TMNT Shell Shocked is a fun ride. I wouldn't say it's the end all of flats but it is a fun ride. The flipping isn't overly difficult to master but had resulted in some nasty bruises from too many rides in a relatively short period of time. I honestly enjoy just sitting there and going with the flow more than working to flip.
  10. Since I can haul whatever soda I'd like into Schlitterbahn--the only park in the Kansas City area worth mentioning--that's a moot point. Yes we get it. You like Schlitterbahn. Good for you. However most of us who were associated with covering the project from the start know it is a major scaled down version of what it was supposed to be and thus we have a hard time getting excited about it in its current form. This was uncalled for. Chill... Lighten up, Francis
  11. It's only just Tuesday. I would imagine it'll be ready by Saturday
  12. This isn't a recent recent photo as the seats have been added back to the Skyride for the season now. Only the cables and support towers are visible in this photo as the chairs are still in winter storage (when the photo was taken)
  13. Wow. You guys really suck. WOF has had Freestyle machines for several seasons now -- in fact they have TWO locations.
  14. So... there are still Boomerang cars sitting in Lot A. Photo Credit to Me
  15. I think the word is continuity. For example SWO had different zones that are themed to different exhibits in that area. This usually includes a ride and decor theming in that area. SWSA really feels like a juxtopisation of ideas without any real long term planning.
  16. The two best alpine coasters are right there in town (Smoky Mt and Goats on the Roof) The one in Gatlinburg (while the fastest) is the shortest and the one up in Ober Gatlinburg is really rough. The Skyway chair lift in Gatlinburg is quite fun. The best Mexican restaurant in the area is Emiliano's on Community Center Drive. Don't waste your time at No Way Jose's
  17. I don't know if I'd call it an "eyesore" but it definitely has been reinvented. The old version of the area had a falling apart Bumper Car house, a worn out Yo-Yo, and a Falling Star which needed a paint job badly (and a refurb). While I have no idea how any of the new rides fit the "Chicago" theme - they have helped revitalize the area. I think only 2 of the last few new additions have been placed in other areas of the park besides here (Tsunami and JL).
  18. ^^^ They used to say "one of longest, tallest and steepest rollercoasters in the world" and now they say "in the park"
  19. Double post - don't care. From the park's Facebook account.
  20. Well after listening to the entire thing, it's obvious that you are taking some liberties with your conclusion of it being "toast". The fact is, if the park wanted to keep the flume there were options. I stand by my statement that it is unfortunate that the park chose this route but it appears this was the "easy way / cheap way" to move forward
  21. No I'm thinking of it very logically. The log flume (while true it needed attention) had a very low height limit whereas Monster will have a much higher requirement. Inverter was put on the Super Screamer's old site. That site could have handled the new ride easily
