  1. Yay All joking aside though, a new credit is always a good thing, even if it's a zamperla torture machine at least the locals will get hyped about it.
  2. While I do believe that as a separate place Ferrariland and Red Force are really fun and all that but I do feel that those huge ferrari logos definitely spoil some views from Portaventura
  3. Looking at sol spin is somehow so odd after seeing all these other "old" topscans and now seeing the sort of "new gen" which mondial hasn't even advertised really it just is. Like while it definitely looks like a topscan you look at it and go "somethings just not right"
  4. It's probably not absurd to assume that Shockwave isn't gonna be there for more than one or two seasons after 2017? Has it been down a lot recently? Since soaring timbers will no doubt draw comparisons from the GP
  5. Zamperla? Mack? If a park was to get a rapids ride there's a high chance it would be Hafema or Intamin. Especially since they do it the best. I actually originally thought this was going to be a hafema since it said it has a vertical lift like river quest at phantasialand.
  6. The update is unfinished. Just downloaded the update and here's a couple things I noticed immediately: -Suspended coaster -Supports don't appear at banking angles above 45 -Min. trackpiece length on normal and chain is 18m, which is way too long and decreases flexibility to a point of unrealism -Giant inverted boomerang -Supports don't appear on inversions properly -Crime -You're given a notification every single time there's a succesfully reported theft which can be extremely annoying
  7. Yes it is, so turns out another one was actually bought semi-recently (though still this is unexpected)
  8. According to the building permits to the Helsinki city council, Linnanmäki's ride is a technical park heavy rotation [youtu_be] [/youtu_be] (the rides most insane point starts at 2:15) Definitely a complete surprise, these have only been sold to travelling showmen (although the park does make a park version) and it's absolutely insane, unexpected, not trending, the last one probably was bought in 2004 or something... It's like they pulled the same trick as canada's wonderland
  9. Hey at least it had the "old" zamperla trains instead of the new torture machines they showed at IAAPA
  10. Everyone probably just wanted to forget it exists
  11. Unlike with boomerangs the issue with old SLC's is rather just the bad trackwork by what I've understood
  12. imo intamin's in general from Soaring With Dragon at Hefei Wanda to Taron at Phantasialand to this, their hydraulic launches, their launch noises are just delicious in general.
  13. As far as I've heard, no. I haven't ridden Green Lantern, but I've ridden Insane and Kirnu, Insane being the one which GL is a clone of and Insane is just fun, very intense, but fun. If I understand correctly GL has different restraints and spins less (which means more uncomfortable g:s) but I might be wrong.
  14. Fabbri Power Mouse coasters have been opened all over europe the last few years or so. I don't understand. Those things are the definition of pain, and I've ridden quite a few Volares in my time. Speaking of Volares, Flamingoland opened a Volare in 2013
  15. I checked out the website and it seems they're also repainting and retheming lots of their rides to a more fantasy theme, also renaming them into english to be more appealing for tourists (probably to compete with energylandia)
  16. Linnanmäki's booster afaik wasn't actually designed to travel, it was dug into a pit with a different setup than the travelling boosters and is now being retrofitted for travel.
  17. I get that the point of the rides is to make it as tame or thrilling as you want, but when they state that it will be a fast wild ride guaranteed I do have my doubts about it being something that can be controlled. But I think the park knows that the crowds would not be happy if they got one of these to replace the crowd favourite that is Kieppi.
  18. Well the gerstlauer ones both have too big diameters, but more importantly aren't they generally classified as more family oriented rather than high thrill?
  19. As a subcriber on Linnanmäki's official newsletter, I got an invite to the raffle of participating in the first riders of their newest ride coming in to replace Kieppi. In the email it is revealed that it will have a 140cm height requirement and will have spinning in some form (there's a finnish word for it but idk how to translate it, wildly spinning possibly in many directions) The Finnish themepark community is stumped currently on what it's gonna be because none of the currently trendy flatrides fit the description or the spot, and a lot of the rides that would fit the spot are similiar to something they'd already have.
  20. This is a conversation that we've been through before in another thread, but I think it's the best visible Yeah they definitely aren't static but it'd be interesting to know why vekoma decided to give them the ability to do this.
  21. I somehow feel like if they were to get a custom layout skyrocket they'd more likely get a smaller scale Skyrocket III rather than a Skyrocket I, since it has more GP appeal than the Skyrocket I. Though that's just me.
  22. Here's a list That list is basically Vekoma Vekoma Vekoma Vekoma Vekoma Vekoma Vekoma
