  1. Dollywood on Saturday. The last park of an amazing trip.
  2. I've ridden all the coasters (besides the kiddie coasters) in the front row except Magnum. I think that's my next stop actually. I did get three Millennium night rides yesterday but they were all middle/back of the train. I did two front row rides during the day.
  3. I had a really amazing ride on Maverick today. Some of the transitions are still a little uncomfortable for me but that particular ride pushed it up a bit. It's tied with Millennium right now in terms of ride experience (for totally different reasons). If you wanted me to ride front row on something I'd choose Millie and back row I'd go Maverick. Ranking my top ten is going to be tough. Contenders who may or may not make it into the top ten but are still amazing include Raptor, Magnum, and Valravn. Dragster is hard to rate for me because of its length, but it's all sorts of awesome so it definitely is also a contender. Can I also say that Blue Streak has RMC-level ejector airtime in the front row? Seriously, that thing just throws you over the hills. Fantastic.
  4. My original top ten list is taking a massive hit at the moment. After Dollywood on Saturday, I'll sit down and put the new list together.
  5. At the moment, Millennium Force. TTD comes tomorrow when we can use FL+
  6. Yeah it was awesome. I got a ride on Maverick and three rides on Millennium Force at sunset. Millie's view of the lake at sunset is amazing.
  7. Valravn was down since noonish but I think it's back up. Hopefully it's open tomorrow since I'll have fastlane+ and won't have to wait in the line for it. I got to ride Maverick in the front row while it was raining and that was fun. Mean Streak in the front leaning forward (an hour later after a random dry patch) also got rained on. Millennium Force was #50 and my new favorite coaster. No idea where people get the "no airtime" thing from. Sure it's not rip-your-face-off ejector airtime but it's a big step above floater. Sensation of speed is off the charts and incredibly smooth. Raptor is also my new favorite invert, just the right amount of intensity and no headache or hip crush restraints *coughbansheecough* The new B&M vest restraints are the Achilles heel of so many good rides. Wing coasters, Banshee, probably Valravn all have that annoying hip pain from the lap bar tightening throughout the ride. Vests are also annoyingly tight and surprisingly inflexible. It's sad because I do love the newer B&Ms and their layouts.
  8. First trip down the causeway in 10 minutes. Maybe all that 40-60% chance of rain stuff today will hold off Speaking of which I get to ride my first non-bobsled Intamin today
  9. Checking into Breakers Express atm. I caught a glimpse of the park from the causeway fork. Hype for tomorrow!
  10. I found Voyage very smooth for a woodie. Raven and Legend were both significantly worse imo Boss is easily the roughest coaster I've been on, but it's a great ride nonetheless.
  11. Beast at night in the front was heavenly. I did take at least 30 gnats to the face and nose but totally worth it.
  12. Luckily it's cloudy and the park closes at 10 Firehawk took surprise worst ride of the day. Uncomfortable, awkward, not really that interesting. I liked Vortex a lot more than I thought I would. It had a good pace, fun inversions, and wasn't really all that rough or jerky.
  13. That's the plan. At least, once the sun stops being so stubborn and actually decides to go down lol
  14. Boss is a very fun coaster. Definitely rough but it has the intensity and layout to match. Also coasterbill, you should totally ride Boss, it's definitely a fun ride. I personally place it barely fourth in the park. Screamin' Eagle had the extreme floater air, Thunder had the quick pace, and Mr Freeze is just awesome. After those four everything drops off and becomes mine trains and Vekomas.
  15. At the park right now. Waiting for the sun to go down for a Beast night ride. Diamondback made my #3 steel coaster, beaten only by RMCs. Banshee is definitely up there too.
  16. Titan, which also happens to be my least favorite coaster. Next is Diamondback which places a very good amount higher.
  17. That sounds like it would take a huge chunk out of your pocket. Then again I just abuse the SF pass prices and go to SFFT thirty times in a summer so I guess that's my preference. I think being somewhere between KI and CP would be good because they would each be ~2 hours away and you can get the CF platinum pass which would make it worth it. I have a ton of local parks but can't afford to get season passes to all of them.
  18. My favorite water ride is definitely Wildebeest at Splashin Safari. Tons of airtime and fun turns and a great pace throughout. Plus it doesn't blind you with water like Mammoth does
  19. They better not remove Mind Bender before I make it out to SFOG. I loved Shock Wave at SFOT and these Schwarzkopfs are so rare. I may not get to the park for another few years, sadly.
  20. An hour from SFOG isn't that bad honestly.
  21. The reprofiled parts of Legend were pretty smooth but the old parts were still running pretty rough. I'd say the lateral helix of death is actually a little too long for my liking. It's the second smoothest woodie at the park after Voyage imo, but that's mainly due to retracking. Meanwhile if you want a smooth ride at Holiday World, Thunderbird is sitting there waiting for your rides on it and it is the second best ride in the park. I loved this park, I definitely see it becoming a huge competitor in the market, especially with all their advertising in the St Louis and Louisville areas.
  22. My current list: Texas: New Texas Giant Missouri: Outlaw Run Indiana: The Voyage Updates for Ohio coming soon™
  23. Voyage was down a good bit today, but I don't know why anyone is complaining about it being rough. Legend and Raven were both way rougher imo. Thunderbird is a load of fun, Raven is a super rough airtime machine, Legend is a rough ride with laterals out the wazoo, and Voyage is the smoothest woodie in the park that also has a ton of strong sustained floater airtime and a great pace. We got to ride everything in the front, everything but Legend in the back. Thunderbird we rode three times, and figured out that the front right is the best place to sit. We also spent a good bit of time at Splashin Safari. Wildebeest is my new #1 water ride and the third best ride in the park after Voyage and Thunderbird. Mammoth is also super fun and gets the #3 water ride spot after Dragon's Revenge at Schlitterbahn New Braunfels. We also tried the Otto slide in the Otosomething tower. It was pretty fun as well. Thunderbird may or may not end up placing stupidly high on my favorite coaster list just because of how fun it is.
  24. Outlaw Run at its roughest is pretty much every actually rough coaster at its smoothest.
