  1. Have fun with your unacceptably long ten minute lines at Dorney then
  2. That can hardly be considered a line. Try waiting for one of the VR coasters at a Six Flags park, or go to CP on Memorial Day weekend, or go to Disney any time at all and you'll see a line. That's not a line. Lol
  3. It's all because Georgia got Goliath. Otherwise SFStL would be a top tier SF park, have working screens on JL, and have ice in all the drink machines.
  4. Sky Ride is great. Between that and the train I saved like 10 miles of walking lol
  5. I was a little bummed that Lightning Rod wasn't open today but I did keep my expectations for it being open pretty low. Safety first I suppose. ^LR is closed all day today. I highly doubt it was hacked, many times the sites will say things that aren't totally true to make people feel better.
  6. People in the park now need to go to the other side and discover the fantasticness that is Thunderhead then. Thunderhead is great and Wild Eagle is tied with Thunderbird for my favorite wing coaster.
  7. Lightning Rod is indeed down today but I have a nagging suspicion it could go back up randomly late in the day.
  8. This slight delay and Lightning Rods delay are in no way comparable at all though. This is only stated as a 3-5 day delay, the issues with Lightning Rod are massively different. Yeah definitely, but still it is getting delayed.
  9. That may work for you, but everyone has a different body that may not work for that or may have other issues with it. For example, I hate riding Boomerang @SFFT because the restraint locks right on my shoulders and applies unnecessary pressure to them. I can't exactly lean forward at all so I have to suffer two giant smacks to the head during the cobra roll.
  10. Safety first! Hopefully this doesn't mean Lightning Rod and other RMCs with the non-Gerst trains are closed as well. Although I am laughing a little bit at the people who were all making fun of Lightning Rod for not opening on time and Wildfire opening perfectly. Let's be honest, since when does any coaster actually open on time perfectly? Heck, I remember Iron Rattler had a pretty smooth opening year.... until the NTaG incident. Stuff happens.
  11. I did take a gnat to the eye on the last overbank of Millennium Force during dusk. It's not quite mufflehead season yet.
  12. SFFT, SWSA, ZDT's, and Schlitterbahn New Braunfels are all within a half hour of my house. SFOT is 3-4 hours away and I visit there occasionally. Probably won't be able to go there this season, but I'm not complaining about doubling my count on a 3500 mile trip at all
  13. Top Thrill Dragster. Glad it didn't break down when we first rode because it did break down the second time we got it line lol
  14. At the moment it's either Millennium Force, Maverick, or Outlaw Run. I'll hopefully get to ride Lightning Rod tomorrow and it definitely has the potential to beat all of them.
  15. Dorney's flume does look like a really cool one. I've only been on two log flumes and they were both the Texas SF flumes. One of which is the original log flume and the other of which is almost entirely hidden above the park which is cool. Log flumes are fun.
  16. ^and Knoebels is right around the corner from Dorney as well
  17. Having ridden both, Titan is a much better ride. Titan has great intensity, the way a hyper should. If by intensity you mean throwing random blackout helixes into a 250 foot kiddie coaster then sure
  18. In the front row there's some Magnum-level thigh crush airtime at the tops of some of the turnarounds, but the back is pure gutbusting.
  19. I agree that Goliath is ridiculously forceless but trust me... Steel Force has it beat. At least Goliath has a decent helix which is one more interesting element than Steel Force will ever have. Titan has two helices too many. At least with Steel Forceless it's actually forceless so you can get off without a headache.
  20. Why limit it to one? Why not just the coasterbill quotes thread?
  21. Steel Force is still a better hyper than Titan, and I haven't even ridden it. Seriously Titan is garbage.
  22. Don't worry about Magnum in the front seat. Go for back row of the first car. It's a life altering experience. I only got to ride in the front two rows (both with seatbelt as tight as possible). Second row had comfortable, light airtime. Front row could have cut my legs off. Amazing airtime even if it was a little taxing. Oh and speaking of Arrow coasters, if anyone is considering riding Gemini in the back row, please save yourself and ride in the front instead. We tried the back row on Gemini and it was the worst ride I've had on anything. Luckily it appears to only be a problem in that row. As for other Arrows in the park, Corkscrew is pretty much the only inverting mine train in the world so that's a very unique ride that I definitely recommend riding (for the credit and that's about it). Iron Dragon is decent but I think pretty much every other suspended coaster is better (the only other one I've done is The Bat @ KI)
  23. It rained pretty good at one point but it didn't stop the Millennium crew from cranking out trains of crazy people. My last ride of the day before driving to Cleveland was Millennium Force right after it had rained. Amazing. Sensation of speed increases so much after the rain. I did get nailed by a ton of gnats, but that's better than muffleheads lol
  24. Cedar Point is beautiful at sunset. I wish my phone camera wasn't garbage so I could take some lol
  25. I went to SFFT thirty times last season. The summer before that I went to Schlitterbahn New Braunfels around 15 times. I also go ZDT's once a month or so.
