  1. I got caught in a random rainstorm on Superman Krypton Coaster once. Wasn't too bad because the OTSR covered up a ton of my body
  2. If we had an extra $200 in the budget we would. KK got cut due to budget and time constraints. I was disappointed but we do have family and friends in Louisville so there's a high chance we'll be back there in the next few years anyhow. I think we can squeeze in the extra for the normal ones, but it would be a little tough to squeeze in for the unlimited one. Chances are that we won't do all 8 of the rides so we'll probably use some of the extra ones for rerides throughout the day. Thanks for the tips! Yeah it's kind of tight with time, but getting to go at all is awesome. If I could move the days around to able to hit all the parks on weekdays I would, but obviously no trip can be perfect
  3. I'm going to be going on a ten-day trip from June 10th-20th that is going to include mainly parks, and we've planned it out to be within the budget so the parks and schedule is pretty much set in stone. The important days are: Silver Dollar City - Saturday 6/11 - My main concern with this is that it's a Saturday which means it'll be busier than normal. We are getting the normal, limited Trailblazer pass for this day. Any advice for approaching the rides, cave, food, etc? Holiday World - Monday 6/13 - Any tips on when to hit the rides, waterpark, etc? I'm not a huge waterpark fan but I do like water coasters and waterslides so Mammoth and Wildebeest definitely have my attention (just not as much as the coasters). King's Island - Tuesday 6/14 - We're buying the KI/CP coaster combo pass for the 14-15th. Any tips on hitting the rides, making sure to get Beast night rides, and generally how to approach the park? This day is also a huge marathon because we drive 2 hours to the park early in the morning, then 4 hours to Sandusky after we get that Beast night ride. Cedar Point Day 1 - Wednesday 6/15 - Above mentioned KI/CP coaster combo pass. We will not be getting Fast Lane this day, which is a bit of a risk. It is possible that we could afford normal FL this day if absolutely necessary but I'd rather avoid that if possible. We do have Early Entry due to staying at Breakers Express. Any tips on approaching the park and the rides are appreciated. Cedar Point Day 2 - Thursday 6/16 - We do have FL+ this day, so it's alot more open than Wednesday. How should we approach this day? Any tips are appreciated. We do need to drive an hour to Cleveland after we leave but the coaster stimulus should provide enough energy for that Dollywood - Saturday 6/18 - Another Herschend Saturday that I'm a little concerned about. Luckily the main thing we're here for is Lightning Rod, with some shows and other coasters sprinkled in. any help is definitely appreciated, and I'm super hyped for the trip of a lifetime! I'm also hyped to have actually ridden enough wooden coasters to actually have a decent ranking list for them
  4. probably SFFT and ZDT's depending on weather and such. after that I'll be headed for the Midwest and I'll be hitting Silver Dollar City, Holiday World, King's Island, Cedar Point, and Dollywood in ten days. should be fun
  5. Screamin' Eagle at SFStL. The lap bar was at least an inch above my lap anyway. Titan's restraint is also super loose, I bet it wouldn't be the worst either. And IRat too kappa
  6. I don't know about loose articles (haven't had that issue at SFFT or SFOT before), but I can offer some advice. First off, at one of the days at SFFT I'd totally recommend (5-8PM or 6-9PM) last 3 hours at ZDT's. It's not too far away and is a great little park with some amazing go-karts and an awesome coaster and all for a little over $10 per person. General SFFT advice: Get night rides on Iron Rattler, back row. Superman night rides are rare due to that area of the park being prime for shows and such, but if you can get one definitely do it. Roadrunner is a really, really good family coaster and totally worth a few rides as it's usually a walk-on this time of year. General SFOT advice: Ride Titan and then NTaG, in that order. Titan gave me a headache due to blood leaving my head but NTaG pushed it all back up with airtime. Doing it the other way doesn't work. Ride NTaG, Shockwave and Runaway Mine Train in the back row and Judge Roy in the front. Mr. Freeze: Reverse Blast is better than the one at SFStL from what I remember. S:ToP is really fun compared to other drop towers I've been on, the Oil Derrick is great for taking pictures. Runaway Mountain and JL:BFM get long lines, and Runaway Mountain is probably better in the back row.
  7. Magnum is an Arrow Mine Train with a few feet added on... Maverick is I305 is a few feet taken off...
  8. TTD is a launched giga with a few feet added on. same with ka
  9. Batman: The Ride at SFFT. I never fail to see phones fly off that ride and it's hilarious.
  10. Did Grona Lund teach us nothing? Then cut that in quarters and add a water park, go-karts, a drop tower, a mini-frisbee, and Switchback.
  11. I don't think another coaster would fit tbh. The park is already really full and jam-packed as it takes up about as much space as the parking lot of a small Walmart. If they could fit and afford another coaster it would be amazing though.
  12. JL:BFM at SFOT and SFStL At home parks: Switchback, Batman: The Ride (SFFT)
  13. that shot of TC is beautiful also yay hype for Storm Chaser
  14. Steel: NTaG - double overall scale Wood: Switchback - replace Grand Spire with more airtime & speed stuff right into the brakes.
  15. Yes! I love that dumb nickname. It's absurd. Technically speaking, the only "true/original" Six Flags parks are SFOT, SFOG, and SFSL. Every other park would be a step-child or at least an adopted one. And if SFSL is the "red headed stepchild", then LaRonde & Great Escape would be the creepy neighbor kid who likes to kill cats. and SFA would be the other redheaded stepchild
  16. Agreed on all three. Interesting. I'd definitely rank Prowler above Mamba, though the latter is much more rerideable at this point. For my own home park, SFOT, NTAG is a given. I'm envious. (Shockwave and Mr Freeze are pretty dang good too)
  17. Yeah, but they'd have to RMC Boss and Eagle to make it fit.
  18. Beast looks fantastic, but let's get back on topic lol
  19. Topper track couldn't hurt, but only certain areas would need it. I'll get back to you once I ride the Beast. Night ride, front seat if I can
  20. Just give Boss better trains and some retracking and it'll be my favorite wooden coaster. It's an incredibly fun ride in an amazing location, but the roughness starts to detract from the full experience. I don't need RMC (though RMC Boss would be badass), but the ride needs a little bit of taming (trim-free taming).
  21. I'll make sure to post some photo TRs from SFFT's HitP and ZDT's (might do SWSA for the first time too).
  22. I got the chance to go to ZDT's last Saturday. Switchback is amazing, I can't decide how to rank it. The first drop is great, the airtime is powerful, and holy crap that speed. The return trip is the only thing that stands in the way of it getting a near-perfect score, but is still really fun. Great investment for the park. (Also, the go-karts haul some serious bouncer)
