  1. Pretty sure the average visitor to CP doesn't even know about the name Valravn being used, how is it associated with the Raptor incident? Raptor is a dark name because raptors are birds of prey. Iron Dragon is a dark name because dragons. Skyhawk is a dark name because hawks are birds of prey. Mean Streak is a dark name because mean. I doubt they're going to change the name.
  2. I need to travel more more than you do Texas: New Texas Giant That's pretty much it.
  3. Last night I had a dream that I went to Holiday World. Voyage was rough and boring, Legend was rough and full of insane laterals and airtime, and Raven was incredibly smooth and fun.
  4. Seriously? The line for JLBFM was never longer than half an hour during my SFOT visit. When did you go to SFOT? Every time I've been (days where Titan and NTaG are walk-ons), JLBFM has had waits of up to 90 minutes.
  5. And when climbing a hill, the back will start to slow down in an earlier track segment than the front. Back on the topic of GP, I ran into a guy I could have sworn was an enthusiast at SFFT last month, and I have a friend who's slowly converting (he points out stuff like cobra rolls), so maybe, just maybe, a few members of the GP are getting just a little smarter.
  6. Great work! This is one of the best RCT3 parks I've seen
  7. I wish Knoebels had been the location of my first coaster!
  8. It's quicker and easier to tell guests that the back is faster than try to take the time to explain it accurately... only to be met by a blank stare. "The back is faster" being wrong is subjective. If they are talking about it going faster at the same *time* then yeah that's stupid, but the back technically does go a different speed per track section. Like the top of a lift hill, the back starts to speed up whereas when the front was in that spot it was chugging along at lift hill speed.
  9. I was going to say SF in general, but I don't remember if they had them at SFOT or not.
  10. SFFT puts bins full of all the cracked and destroyed smartphones (and the perfectly-fine flip phones) in the queue of all the coasters and tbh I think that's pretty effective. Nobody I've ever gone with (including people with a Boomerang as their #1) since they added those bins has taken their phone on the ride.
  11. It's like the difference between SFFT's Batman: The Ride theming (random signs and blueprint stuff scattered everywhere) vs. SFOT's Batman: The Ride theming (providing a dark atmosphere and immersive stuff)
  12. This is why I always wear jeans to parks unless it's 100+ degrees. The pockets are tight enough that I doubt my phone would fall out. I don't even bring my phone to waterparks. (Oh, and I don't jump fences to get stuff that falls either) ^^^^ And yeah, NTaG and Titan both have the pouches. Although They could probably allow loose articles on Titan because there's no zero/negative G on the ride at all, lol I feel sorry for the guy, but he should have thought it through :/
  13. I'll gladly trade that for the drive I have from San Antonio. I'll give you SFFT, SWSA, ZDT's and Schlitterbahn New Braunfels, too!
  14. I had two roller coaster dreams in two nights in late June. The first one was that I finally got to go to Cedar Point with my dad, and the weather was dark and stormy without clouds/rain/thunder. The first thing we rode was Raptor, then Rougarou. For some reason, the park was very cramped with food stands (but everything was a walk-on) and had roughly the same layout as SFFT. Raptor was where IRat is and Rougarou was where Boomerang is. Then we walked over to Maverick (which was located in Spassburg) and one of the trains started glitching down off of the track like it sometimes does in TPS if you left it running too long before the x64 update. I then woke up and for the rest of the week all I wanted to do was go to CP and ride Raptor and Rougarou The second one was where I was on some kiddie coaster, but it had the most extreme laterals and airtime ever. We were just getting thrown around like ragdolls and it was super fun. I woke up with a sudden urge to ride a kiddie coaster
  15. Relocate Millennium Force to Dorney. Bam. Problem solved.
  16. Cooper's BBQ in New Braunfels. It's the best meat, let alone brisket, I've ever had.
  17. Lines for it exceed an hour constantly, but people still think Iron Rattler is better (and scarier apparently).
  18. This will also mean CP will have 5 coasters over 200 feet. Magnum, Millennium, TTD, Wicked Twister, and now Valravn.
  19. My homeparks are SFFT, SWSA, Schlitterbahn New Braunfels, and ZDT's. I haven't been to SWSA or ZDT's yet but once Switchback is done I'm definitely going to make time for ZDT's and I also want to make time at some point for SWSA so I can ride Steel Eel and Great White. Schlitterbahn New Braunfels is my favorite waterpark, but my favorite overall park I've been to is SFOT. Note that I haven't been to any park outside of Texas since I was 7, and even then I really wasn't a big fan of Magic Kingdom. SFOT has a great selection of coasters and I pretty much like all of them, whereas SFFT is lacking in family coasters. I bring friends that are scared of coasters more often than not, and the only coasters at SFFT that don't go upside down are Road Runner Express and Pandemonium. At SFOT I could have convinced them to go on Runaway Mountain, Runaway Mine Train, Judge Roy Scream, (possibly) NTaG, La Vibora, and Pandemonium. SFOT also has decent theming on many of its rides and even better theming in the midways on the Mexico/Spain/Texas/France side of the park. Unfortunately, SFOT is 5 hours away so it's not my home park. However, SFFT is pretty dang fun as long as I'm with people that will ride the coasters.
  20. And their putting Son of Beast's topper track on it. And using SkyRider's supports. The CF Frankenstein conversion. Me likey
  21. Yeah, I'd be against RMC in either of those cases. Although I agree that any park that can get RMC on a mediocre woodie should. El Toro, The Beast, etc aren't mediocre
  22. Yeah, no. SFFT had one legitimate moment of strong airtime in the entire park before Iron Rattler, and that was on a mine train. As for SFMM, they didn't have much airtime either. I see your point about Dollywood, but they're still getting improved by getting Lightning Rod. Plus, getting the Iron Horse treatment is generally always an improvement. Even if the wooden coaster it replaced was decent and not terribly rough or boring, an I-box conversion is still going to be better. Have you ridden an RMC? Even KD would be better with an RMC, even if it was fine already.
  23. The park and zoo are going to be merged I bet, probably with a midway connecting them.
  24. I rode it on Friday, I did not think it had a rattle at all. That said, I really only ride B&M Inverts in the front row. Did you ride on the edge? I find the edge to be rattlier most of the time (although SKC has more of a rattle)
