  1. You're comparing apples and oranges here. Dollywood is all about the non-coaster stuff (and honestly it didn't do it that well imo) and CP is all about the world-class coaster lineup and massive collection of flat rides. Although Dollywood was fun but definitely a weaker link in terms of how long I really wanted to stay. The shows I saw were average, food was good but not as good as SDC, and it was the only park on my trip to not end up putting any coasters in my top ten (though WE and Thunderhead did end up at the lower end of the top 20) Also, to answer your question, the beach. Cinnamon bread was not nearly as good as SDC's imo and yes this is pretty much all opinion anyway I'd mention Dragster but pretty much every other coaster at CP begs to differ so yeah that too lol
  2. I totally forgot Valravn in my list. There was one weird slight rattle after the second steep drop but I only noticed that one of my rides and it didn't affect the ride at all. The entire ride is awesomely smooth.
  3. I wish I could have ridden AT more times. I only got to ride it once near the front early in the day during Fright Fest, so I got pretty awkwardly placed airtime and it was running sort of sluggish. I'm sure if I had ridden it near the back it would be way higher on my list.
  4. ^I don't use Facebook but YouTube comments are equally bad if not worse.
  5. in other news, Wild Eagle's lift chain is currently being transferred onto Lightning Rod so that it can run without the launch, so Wild Eagle is also going to be down, but trust me it'll be up soon™
  6. There are currently termites eating into the support structure of LR. Sorry, we're gonna be down for another week.
  7. Every time the park gets close to being able to open it, some random thing comes up. Seriously, look at it: supposed to open -> launch issues -> work on it -> supposed to open -> finally get two trains running -> flood -> get two trains running again -> technical rehearsals -> it finally opened sort of -> part recall -> fire must really suck to be Dollywood or RMC right now.
  8. I agree. Smoothest woodie I've been on outside of Outlaw Run and Switchback. I thought that it was the average smoothness for a GCI but Thunderhead proves just how well maintained American Thunder is in comparison.
  9. Over 5,000ft of track (might not be totally accurate, I just went through rcdb and filtered the states I'd been in) 1. The Beast (7359) 2. Millennium Force (6595) 3. The Voyage (6442) 4. Mean Streak (5427) 5. Titan (5312) 6. Diamondback (5282) 7. Magnum XL-200 (5106) 8. The Boss (5051)
  10. The first time I rode Titan it was decent but every time after that it just kept going down. After my third ride on it, Titan became my least favorite coaster. To me it's pretty much a 250 foot kiddie coaster with some random blackout helices thrown in just so it can be called intense. It's pretty much the only coaster I can consistently walk off of with a headache. It's like an endurance challenge. So much wasted potential. Plus it's right next to NTaG which just further exaggerates how much wasted potential it is. Most people like Titan more than I do and that's fine but I'm going to be over at NTaG lol
  11. I'm not kidding at all. One of the trains had a very slight rattle and I may have only ridden in the front but seriously Raptor was smoother than Banshee or either of the Batman clones I've ridden. The only "rough" thing about it is the whip in the inversions, which is entirely avoided by leaning slightly forward (which I tend to do on all coasters anyway lol)
  12. Lightning Rod: The world's tallest, fastest, and steepest cinnamon bread oven.
  13. My rankings for the park are something like this: NTaG ShockWave Mr Freeze Runaway Mountain Judge Roy Scream Batman La Vibora Pandemonium Mine Train Kiddie Coasters Titan ShockWave is ridiculously smooth and has stupidly awesome sustained ejector air in the back row. Amazing.
  14. Yeah I wish I had gotten a ride in the back later in the day. I only rode near the front early in the day during Fright Fest last October. I only got to spend 3 hours at the park anyway but I never really got to ride American Thunder at its best.
  15. Yeah, all the frustration coming from guests and enthusiasts is nothing. Imagine how much this must suck for RMC and Dollywood. I'd hate to be in their position right now.
  16. Mr Freeze is a top twenty ride for me, and I could ride one of those things all day, but I agree that most of the lineup is pretty average. American Thunder ran pretty sluggish when I rode it so my opinion is probably less informed than most in that case. Boss is a pretty great terrain woodie but definitely too rough to marathon. Eagle is fun and has very good floater air but nothing to write home about. Pretty much the rest of the lineup is clones.
  17. That's a shame. ShockWave is easily my second favorite coaster in the park. I have yet to try any SF VR but I'm sure it's not worth the stupidly long lines and slow operations that I've heard about.
  18. Blue Streak in the front has godtier ejector airtime, in case anyone was wondering. Seriously that thing hauls.
  19. I liked Invertigo, it was better than Boomerang @ SFFT. Firehawk on the other hand is my second least favorite coaster beaten only by Titan. The last coaster I rode was Thunderhead at Dollywood. It has a great layout but is much rougher than I expect from GCI (only point of comparison is American Thunder at SFStL). It's my #5 woodie out of 15.
  20. Top Thrill Dragster, Maverick, Iron Rattler, Raptor, NTaG, Rougarou, Batman: The Ride, ShockWave. Special mention to Outlaw Run for being the smoothest woodie I've been on.
  21. Just far enough so your back isn't touching the seat. You can use the grab bar on the front of the train to pull yourself forward too. This method turned Mean Streak from "metal trash can rolling down a hill", to extremely fun. ^ this all the way. The layout is still mediocre but riding in the front leaning forward is just really fun and it goes on forever lol
  22. ^I saw them stop the lift on Magnum because someone pulled out their phone. CP ops are great at enforcing policies like that.
