Weirdest Things The 'GP' Have Said
Imagineer Josh replied to maliboomer's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Today in school, I was looking at RCDB at Disneyland for some reason, and some kid came up behind me and said, "I hate Space Mountain. Did you know it goes in circles so much because it was built on top of a sinkhole" So... it's just space track built on top of quicksand, or something? -
Just post your reviews of coasters you've ridden here! It can be simple, or detailed. I'll start, here's my review of Millennium Force I got in to Cedar Point late at night in the beginning of June. The most dominating sight to see was this massive Intamin Giga. The next day, after I rode Maverick (my favorite roller coaster), I headed over for this ride. Going against some advice, I was expecting this ride to be my #1. Going on a Friday, I expected much worse lines, but I can't say I waited much longer than 10 minutes for Millie. Once getting in the Intamin cars, we were off. The lift hill felt a lot steeper, and I got some great views of surrounding Lake Erie and other coasters of the park. Luckily, this was a pretty fast lift as I was awaiting the expecting best coaster to begin. Then, after cresting the top, we plunged down the BEST, most INTENSE drop I've ever experienced! I tried to put my hands up, but it was so insanely long and forceful I couldn't possibly do that. Perfect start! After reaching the bottom, we were thrown into the first giant overbanked turn. It reminded me a bit of the overbanked turn on Goliath at Great America, only much larger and forceful. After that excellent beginning, the rest of the ride after the first tunnel let me down. It was very fast and relatively smooth with some rattling, but it just wasn't all that thrilling. Probably because both large hills offered NO airtime. Even when I rode in the very back row. Okay, that little hill next to the station offered a little ejector, but that was all. Nothing too notable. So that's that. Yeah, I don't think it the layout was anything special. It didn't BORE me by any means, but it was far from being my #1 like I expected. Overall, the ride was exhilarating with the speed, but I see why it's considered overrated. I wholeheartedly agree. I did really enjoy the size, insane drop, smoothness, setting and pacing which I do feel could've had more done with such a long duration. But as you can see it is my 2nd favorite steel coaster under Maverick, so I don't hate it at all. It is a great coaster despite being overrated What are some of your reviews?

I got in Ragin' Cajun at Great America a couple times during closing weekend 2013 -
Bringing it back B&M - I've liked all the B&Ms I've ridden, but I'm going with Superman - Ultimate Flight. I know, I know. I've only ridden one of the stand-ups, Georgia Scorcher, and that was a nice surprise. Superman, besides the pretzel loop, is forceless, boring and suffers from lots and lots of downtime (at GAm at least) Intamin - Again, my Intamin count is low enough I really enjoy them all. So with that, I'm gonna go with Avatar Airbender. GCI - Only ridden American Thunder

Hi Robb, Over my Spring Break (the last week of March going into April), I'll be heading to Dollywood. I have a few questions to ask you for my visit. 1. What is the best hotel to stay at in the area? 2. I know that the TimeSaver Pass is only like $30, but would it be necessary during the last week of March going into April? 3. For sure, I'll be starting with Lightning Rod. But after that, should I go counter clockwise (head towards Blazing Fury/Wild Eagle), or clockwise (head towards Thunderhead) to get the shortest lines? 4. Any seats on specific roller coasters I should know about to get the smoothest/best experience possible? Thanks, any feedback is considered helpful!

Rank Your Home Park's Coasters

While not my home park, Little Amerricka is the second closest park to where I live. I just went there during the last weekend in September and I completely forgot I went lol 1. Mad Mouse (While not as smooth as some others, it's pretty darn fun for a wild mouse) 2. Little Dipper (How often is it that you find a kiddie coaster with ejector airtime?) 3. Meteor (Honestly, least thrilling ride in the park) 4. Wild & Wooly Toboggan (One word - OUCH!) -

I'm a bit baffled by your placement of Goliath, otherwise I mostly agree -
Just as the title suggests. If you live in an area that doesn't have a real home park (i.e. a mall park that has a Dragon Coaster), then just use the next closest park to you that has good coasters worthy of ranking My home park is Six Flags Great America 1. Goliath 2. American Eagle 3. Raging Bull 4. Batman The Ride 5. X-Flight 6. Viper 7. Somewhat Ultimate Flight 8. Vertical Velocity 9. Whizzer 10. Demon How about you guys?

Dammit! That's more than Lightning Run cost. Have they never heard of a big coaster? -
Anyone ridden all the RMCs yet?
Imagineer Josh replied to kweiss's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
IMO, I'd rank them like this 1. Lightning Rod 2. Wicked Cyclone 3. Twisted Colossus 4. Wildfire 5. New Texas Giant 6. Joker 7. Goliath 8. Outlaw Run 9. Medusa Steel Coaster 10. Storm Chaser 11. Iron Rattler IRL, I've only ridden Goliath but next year I'll be riding Lightning Rod, Twisted Colossus, and possibly Storm Chaser -
