  1. What roller coasters have you heard of or know that break down a lot? We all hold those grudges as coaster enthusiasts. For me, Dark Knight at SFGAm breaks down every time I get in line, and it always leads to horrible capacity. Also, Harry Potter and the Escape from Gringotts at Universal Studios Florida broke down a bunch while I was in line and also while I was on the ride
  2. What is your favorite rumored roller coaster, water park, themed area, or just a simple flat ride that Screamscape rumored but wasn't true? Mine would probably have to be the Dive coaster for SFGAd 2010-2012 - Dive Machine - Rumor - (10/15/07) The early buzz for 2009 or 2010 indicates that the park may be one of the first Six Flags parks to get a B&M Dive Machine. I’ve also heard a similar rumor last month for Six Flags Great America, so either both may get it or more likely it will come down to a choice of which parks needs it more or deserves it more. We’ve see what Busch did with the concept, so with the ball in Six Flags court, will they expand or simplify the design of the Dive Machine concept? ...or the Atlantica SuperSplash for SFGAm, 2012 - New Flume Ride - Rumor - (7/19/10) Remember that rumor about a new flume ride in development for the park? If the latest rumor is true, they could be speaking to Mack about building a new Super Splash ride for them to replace the old Splashwater Falls ride for as early as 2012. More when we find out. ...or possibly the Knott's Berry Farm giga coaster! 2015/2016 - Giga Coaster - Rumor - (10/12/12) More Screamscape sources have confirmed that the Hyper/Giga coaster project for the park is still on the books, but is still a few years away. (10/3/12) Good News / Bad News time. The good news is that apparently Knott’s still has that long rumored Giga coaster in their sights. The bad news is that I’m hearing it wont happen until at least 2015 or 2016. Seems they have a few other projects to put on the fire first.
  3. I heard a lot of people talk about Giant Drop at SFGAm decapitate someone, because their hair caught on the ride cords.
  4. Bringing this thread back, and adding in RMC Best (cause why not?) B&M - Leviathan, Nemesis, Swarm, X-Flight, and AIR/Galactica Intamin - Expedition GeForce, Maverick, and Intimidator 305 RMC - All of them GCI - Thunderhead or Wood Coaster (Knight Valley) Worst B&M - Hair Raiser, it gets a lot of credit for being custom and super intense, but it's not that big or fast. One of the smallest B&Ms. Intamin - Flashback/Space Diver, if they didn't have the bulky OTSR then I would change this. RMC - Storm Chaser, IMO is the worst of the RMCs but of course still amazing. GCI - Gwazi or Wildcat, simply for just being super rough.
  5. What? What is this "Six Flags Magic Mountain" roller coaster? RCDB doesn't have anything on it...
  6. No he's not a Screamscape member. Want to see the email?
  7. I have a friend that works at the park. He told me today that it was confirmed of a 2017 roller coaster but no details have come out yet (obviously)
  8. Honestly, (coming from someone with SFGAm being their home park) I feel it's only worth it to accomplish this list on the website: https://www.sixflags.com/greatamerica/newsroom/super-fan-signs
  9. Hands down, Georgia Cyclone. Worse than the Ninja.
  10. Anyone know when the layout will be revealed, or when the will release an animation?
  11. I've seen so many of these lists, I just wanna know how does one decide on their top 10 favorite coasters?
  12. We all have our experiences of when we were kids on our first big roller coaster ride. They are some of the most memorable. So in this thread, you can post your experience however you would like! My first experience - In Summer 2008, I rode American Eagle Red Side. The only other coaster I had ridden before this was Spacely's Sprocket Rockets, and one in Colorado that I forgot.
  13. Clever. "When the 12p tickets run out (in 5 minutes), people can take advantage of our normal online prices." People are f**king thick, so this will work well.
  14. Nearby a water ride (Le Scoot)? Big Drop? Getting over their beef with Intamin? Aquatrax guys. It's so obvious.
  15. Lol, this kid. Anyway. Yeah. No way this could be worse than Goliath at SFGAm. Looks fantastic, and as others have said, if Lightning Rod wasn't being built, this would easily be the most anticipated coaster of the year. I was just stating my opinion. And technically I'm a teen
  16. Still, IMO, the worst of the RMCs (Or I could just say 'the worst of the best )
  17. And there isn't one for Six Flags Great America, but there is one for the Great Escape? #SFGAm2017CoasterConfirmed
  18. Beastly Kingdom for Animal Kingdom
  19. 5 Year Plan for BonBon Land 2017: Fifty Shades of Grey Ride 2018: Quentin Tarantino: The Experience 2019: Educational Movie Theater added so kids can learn about Puberty 2020: Grand Theft Auto - The PewDiePie Gameplay Ride 2021: Kardashians buy the property.
  20. Cedar Point, now the Intamin capital of the world (10-year plan, sue me) 2017: World's tallest drop tower by Intamin, which will only operate when TTD rolls back 2018: Break year, Mean Streak removed. 2019: Intamin 10-Inversion Coaster in Mean Streak's place 2020: Break year, Top Thrill Dragster removed. 2021: 500 foot Intamin coaster in TTD's place and the drop tower is sent to be Miley Cyrus' next Wrecking Ball 2022: Break year, Raptor removed 2023: Intamin Invert in Raptor's old place 2024: Break year, work in Shoot the Rapids' old place 2025: Intamin Supersplash in Shoot the Rapids area 2026: Break year, Supersplash removed due to death to many riders 2027: Intamin goes bankrupt, everyone who ever went to Cedar Point mourns
  21. Alright, so I just wanted to try something new because I wanted to see what people would have to say about this. If you were to own Six Flags, and set aside $70 million for roller coaster/other expansion yearly, what would you do? Personally, I would go with: RMC T-Rex for Six Flags Great Adventure Cost: $15 million Worth the money to have the first one be built in the chain. B&M Dive Coaster for Six Flags Magic Mountain Cost: $18 million Great fit for the park, especially their 20th coaster. Intamin Blitz for White Water Cost: $19 million Because I own the company. Sue me. I would also set aside about $3 million for kids area expansion, and another $20 million for various other rides, including an Intamin drop tower, probably with Falcon's Fury style rotating seats, a mondial top scan, an S&S Screamin' Swing and some flying Eagles among other things. What would you guys do?
  22. Sorry for double post, but can someone at least do one for Cedar Point?
  23. I have a list Takabisha: There are so many awesome elements, including the world's steepest drop! Poltergeist SFFT: So crazy! So insane! So many elements in such a compact place.
