Great American Scream Machine wouldn't be a great RMC. They go for twister layouts, not out-and backs. Does anyone agree with me that Georgia Cyclone is way rougher? Sadly, it hasn't been open for 30+ years so that's probably not an option WAIT! They said 30+ years. Key(sorta)word: PLUS And Splashwater Falls has only been 30 years exactly, so I don't think that's going either, but I wouldn't care. Honestly, I would most like Dahlonega Mine Train removed, because of the roller coasters operating for 30+ years, that is the roughest. Plus it takes up a lot of space EDIT: Splashwater Falls and Dahlonega Mine Train are right next to each other! They never said anything that it wouldn't be two attractions, so I have a feeling that these two will bite the dust for a big new expansion As for what it would be, I would say that with such a big area, an S&S Free Spin is too large. And since Georgia Cyclone won't be closing, then my choice would be a Premier Launched Coaster. Like Full Throttle, not the SkyRocket II models

The layout looks a little weird to be a GCI much less a Giga, I'll be interested to see if it's a whole other type of coaster -
What is your favorite Roller Coaster?

Thanks! Sounds like you had a good time, and hope your next visit is well. thanks CEDAR POINT PART 3 After we re-rode Maverick, we took a quick 20 minute "intermission" in our Hotel Breakers room because we all needed a nice breather. I personally really love this shot Okay Google-- Do a Valravn barrel roll This made my Top 10 drops I do wish they could have had a splashdown :/ Hello Windseeker, I know you're there too Looks like Top Thrill Downtime was taking a step out it's comfort zone CCMR, random shot Waste of money if you ask me Hey kids, wanna jump under a Giant Inflatable Snoopy's @$$? WHEEE!!! Wouldn't the dragon be too busy sleeping in gold rather than giving rides to strangers? Number 11 we got Corkscrew Number 12, finally we're at Raptor Love the speed heading down that drop I thought they were trying to look prehistoric, not Chinese-Mystical Wow, this photo turned out to be a lot prettier than I meant No queue line! STOP TORTURING US WITH THE SAME RETARTED F*** TV CRAP I'll leave this on a cliffhanger with our on-ride shot ***TO BE CONTINUED

Photo TR: The Monster - Opening Day
Imagineer Josh replied to Barge84's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Great TR! I especially love that last photo, showed most of the ride -
So today I arrived at my hotel in Mason, Ohio awaiting Kings Island tomorrow, and I've synced all my photos on to the laptop and I'm ready to start the Cedar Point TR! Have fun reading! CEDAR POINT PART 1 Top Thrill Dragster and Millennium Force look beautiful and ready to give 70,000-ish rides today! Valravn respectively joined the giants of CP Finally! I've been dreaming of this since I was 7 years old! >Walked in the park >Top Thrill Dragster broken down... surprised? We'll catchu later We all know Pip Squeak (Oops... Pipe Scream) Isn't a coaster First coaster of ERT: MAVERICK!!! Is it a launch section? Is it a special lift hill? The world may NEVER KNOW These people are in for a real treat Despite some controversy, Maverick ended up being my new #1 Wow... can any of you imagine an actual horse having the length of the trains on this? Loved the architecture in the area Top Thrill Dragster was running! For like 10 minutes, and the park hadn't even opened yet. This was still during ERT, keep in mind What's that blue Intamin wonder peeking behind that red Intamin wonder? Second and final coaster of ERT - MILLENNIUM FORCE!! This was just exhilarating :O The drops were breathtaking... It had nice speed... It was always super smooth... (Darn it Valravn, don't drop photobombs, drop people) As the park opened, we got off of Millennium Force and headed across the road to Iron Dragon It turned out to be the first walk-on. Who needs a dragon when you have a brand new bird of death? Nice tame ride for the whole family (I could even see people outside of the TTD entrance disappointed) Coaster #4 Manti... I mean Rougarou Personally, this part reminded me of the Hulk Gotta love that drop! To be continued...

I've gotten a lot of help for this, I've finalized my plans, and I'm ready. It's time for the first official thread of this. After this, there will be a lot of photos here that I took driving around to Hotel Breakers Probably the best photo I took last night, especially while driving Another shot of Valravn Top Thrill Dragster through the trees Mean Streak is beautiful... well beautiful to take pictures of, at least Slingshot all lit up! The other beautiful photo I took of Gemini and Top Thrill Dragster So that was pre-Cedar Point! Later tonight or tomorrow get ready for a trip report from today

With over 50 currently operating in the world, I thought an unofficial countdown would fit it very well. So if you could be participants of this, please vote on which Vekoma Boomerang you think is best, or which is the best one you have ridden. Please also think about what other people have said about Vekoma Boomerangs if you have never ridden one. I'll be closing the poll in about a week or two so we can have a lot of people vote. If you want to vote on one that has been relocated, then just vote for the relocation. Thanks in advance everyone for the help! Click this to go ahead and vote: CLICK ME! The only one I've ridden is the Boomerang at Six Flags St Louis, so I guess I'm voting for that. (P.S. When this one is over, I might do one for SLCs)

Kings Island (KI) Discussion Thread
Imagineer Josh replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Turns out, after I go to Cedar Point on Friday the 3rd of June, the 4th will be a Toledo day for the whole family, and the 5th will be Kings Island because it's the other big theme park in Ohio. 1. Firehawk 2. Flight of Fear 3. Backlot Stunt Coaster 4. Beast 5. Diamondback 6. Banshee 7. Invertigo 8. Bat 9. Adventure Express 10. Racer 11. Vortex Yeah, same questions. 1. What modifications would you recommend I make to my current idea? 2. While I won’t really be able to avoid it, do the parks put out a list/schedule online ahead of time for any rides that will be closed for annual maintenance? 3. Which coasters have single rider lines? 4. Flat ride suggestions? 5. How are operations? What coasters break down a lot and which are really good? 6. Food suggestions? 7. What coaster usually has the shortest line? How about the longest line? 8. Anything else I should keep in mind? -
I have seen lots of people make trip reports. They are really good, have awesome photos, etc How does one make a good trip report? Are they a lot of things I should keep in mind when I visit a park?

Another ride on Millennium Force is just a second ride on one coaster. For a 100th credit, I need to ride all 17 coasters. I currently have 83. I'm unfortunately not staying on the property of the park. I really wanted to, but most of my family's activities at that time will be in Toledo. This is the schedule that someone gave me to ride all 17 coasters in one day. Tell me what you think about it: 1. Maverick 2. Millennium Force 3. Iron Dragon, and look at the TTD queue on the helix turning into the second lift hill to scout out queue length. 4. If TTD queue doesn't appear too long (say two blocks of the switchbacks in the line), proceed there. 5. Magnum XL-200 6. Valravn 7. Blue Streak 8. Gatekeeper 9. Wicked Twister 10. Raptor (if queue is above 45 minutes, save for later) 11. Rougarou 12. Cedar Creek Mine Ride 13. Mean Streak 14. Gemini 15. Wilderness Run 16. Woodstock Express, if that's your thing. 17. Corkscrew Ending at Corkscrew puts you in the middle of the park, and in good position to head for any rides you had missed prior due to downtime, long queues, etc.

Hey guys. I'm currently at 83 in my coaster count, and I'll be at Cedar Point which has 17 coasters, so doing math I'm hoping for 100 coasters exactly!!! And to do this, I need to ask you something. What's the best way to hit all 17 coasters at Cedar Point in 1 day? PLEASE NOTE: I will not be making a purchase of Fast Lane Plus

Lines can range from nonexistent to packed in, depending on what day you visit and what ride it is. In the five times I went last summer, Dark Knight generally has horrendous operations so if you want it, ride it in the morning. By afternoon it will have a full queue. Goliath right away will have a the first major switchback area full but that's it, and Superman always extremely close to spilling out on the walkways. X-Flight gets big lines as well because it's a wing coaster. Raging Bull can get long lines, but I have yet to see a line longer than 30-ish minutes. I'm sure it happens though. Later in the day, the lines can absolutely horrific even during the week and probably approached about an hour or more. The rest of the lines were pretty evenly crowded, with Superman of course taking the lead.

I've been around with Screamscape since like 2008 when I first got into the industry, and this is the closest to a new coaster I know of besides the Premier Skyrocket II in 2019. (7/20/12) A couple of new rumors have come in this week for Worlds of Fun. For starters I’m told that the planned new water slides coming to Oceans of Fun in 2013 are expected to replace the three Diamond Head slides which actually opened up with the waterpark. So get your last slides in while you still can. In other news, the whispers coming in from the shadows claims that the park is planning on testing out some Rocky Mountain Topper Track on Timber Wolf over the off season. If true, look for it to be placed around the mid-course helix area.
