Why is it in the infinity coaster classification? Surely it should be classed as a euro fighter coaster? What is the difference? -

So the riding roller coasters hobby is not about fun, it is about pain, just so you can boast and say you have 500 coaster at credits. -

I was hoping fire more twisty Intamin coasters. They seem to be getting less twisty. -

^I completely agree with you. It would give those who did not have as much money a chance at least but would raise more money. -

It should have been grey I think. I don't like the yellow base, but seeing that mister flying around the track will either look stupid or really cool. -
Your coaster ranking Hot Buttons?

For me I love a re rideable roller coaster which is fun no matter how many times you do it. Also, I like a terrain hugging ride. This is why I love Helix at Liseberg! -
Alton Towers Discussion Thread
Henry M replied to Ed's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
My tip for you is not to go to Alton Towers. It is for two reasons, Thorpe Park is much closer to get to and Alton towers is miles away. Thorpe park is almost next to Hethrow. Also as you said it was your dream to go there, don't go because you will be disappointed. It is good, but from reviews I have geared this year, 2016 is not the year to visit. -

Nice trip report. I did not know this park existed and it certainly looks like it is worth a (quick!) visit. -

I would like to visit this park, but is there anything else in the local area which is worth visiting, apart from the park itself? -

I have been told that I can go on a tour of Location J at Thorpe park, but have no idea what location J is. If anyone knows, that would be very helpful to me. Thanks -

I thought it looked slow as well. Rides always look slow on the first test run, for example Flying aces looked really slow, but if you look at newer videos, it looks really fast. Does anyone know why they are taking so long to get the launch up to full speed? -

I like the new restraint system on the ride. I thought it would be the same as the harnesses used on mega coasters, but this design looks like it will fit the ride better. I look forward to some testing of this. -

Firstly good luck with your project! Secondly, I think that they are very good, when done well, and on the right rides. The was Six flags parks have done it is perfect. They have many headsets, and all the time consuming stuff is done before you actually get on the ride. Also, they normally only have the VR on rollercoasters with only a Lab Bar, which is perfect, as it allows the rider to be fully immersed and look around fully. However, at Alton Towers, on Galactica, it is bad, because it has been placed on an already complicated ride. The rides have to sort out their headset, when they are actually in the ride vehicle, which takes a long time. Also, on Galactica, the harness is very restrictive, so you cannot look around as much. Finally, it is not good, because the head set vibrates on Galactica, meaning you cannot actually see the film. To conclude, America have done it well, England have messed up. Hope this helps! -

Haha, I love it when parks draw faces on the dummies. -
Simply, what is your all time favorite rollercoaster, that you have been on, and also why. I will start it off by saying Helix, at Liseberg, because it is so fun and has two completely different ride feels to it. In the front it is fun and you can see all the near misses, but the back delivers some of the best and most intense forces I have witnessed. I have used the search button and I could not actually find this topic! --Henry M

Anyone ridden all the RMCs yet?
Henry M replied to kweiss's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Sadly none of them at the moment. I am very much restricted to parks in Europe, and as you know there are none open in Europe, except for Wild Fire, which is at an obscure park I have never herd of. -

Classic slapstick comedy for real. To be honest I probably would have stared laughing if I saw it.

Buzz Bars (Questions/Opinions/Rants)
Henry M replied to GigaG's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
So there are no seat belts on Phoenix? That was the main thing on Timber Terror that slowed down operations; the seat belts have old airline-style buckles that are very hard for the GP to figure out It would be awesome if there are still coasters out there without belts...? Can anyone tell me if Coaster @ Playland PNE has buzzbars or are they ratcheting? I want to get up there before the season ends and ride it edit; Would you rather I start a redundant threat instead of bumping an old one? That's what I thought This reminds me of Lisebergbanan, which although has individual restraints, the despatch time is very fast. This is due to the staff not thoroughly checking the lap bars. On a 5 train service, the despatch time is brutal. Even with a really long queue, you basically walk through it! -
