I would count an alpine coaster that big a giga. It is not a grey aria, and I don't feel speed is necessary for it to be called a giga. By the way, that sounds like an awesome alpine slide you were talking about!

Some people think there is no point in discussing and you should just enjoy the ride. That is 50% true, but we are rollercoaster geeks. I would call RMC a steel coaster. Also the drop has to be over 200 ft it does not matter about the height ubove the ground (stratosphere coaster).

So sometimes there are things in rollercoaster that cause conflict. For example, the RMC coasters, are they wooden or not??? This thread allows you to post you questions like this about coasters, and hopefully someone will answer it. It could even be more specific, like is the loop on flying aces actually a loop??? This should cause some fun discussion .

Nice, the outside seats will be the ones everyone will be grabbing! The middle two take away the whole point of this ride type.

I am now certain that it will stay white. They have taken months to add this coat so it will take at least two months to repaint the ride and they only have one month to do it. Sorry guys, but it is staying white.

Why is Thorpe Park not open for half term, does anyone know?

I sure hope it's just the camera/angle that is causing that! At that speed, even a slight wobble will be rough as hell. This ride is not shaping up to be good. First the awful break run now this! Also it does not look like there will be a 270 degree twist on the drop.

So you are saying that either the Beast will be RMCidized or that there will be a new SOB. Both unlikely, as Beast is a classic and still very good. They only RMCisize coasters which are rough, dated or dull. And the SOB will not be made again, because it was so bad and has a bad reputation. Also they would have to call it Cousin Of Beast!!

I really hope to ride one of these RMC Coasters. I have not heard a single bad review of one, just rave ones! I doubt though one will make it to England

Merlin do actually take good care of their rides. Name one which is not taken care of.

It did not really need a repaint, because it looked good like that. However, it shows they are taking care of their beast so hopefully it will live for many more years.
