  1. Helix soundtrack just sums up the ride perfectly. It feels like an combination of nature and Man working together, just like the ride. I actually find the Helix soundtrack inspirational and listen to it alot.
  2. Either X at TP, Rita, now that it makes no sense in that aria, Hodjdskraken because I have no idea what it means nor can I spell it, Tidel wave, for being wrong since people die from them and Derren Brown's Ghost train for being bland.
  3. I do now, and it was not an argument, just him thinking he knew more. If rollercoasters come up in conversation, I will let things slip, just this person was actually a bit rude.
  4. It seems that what makes me laugh the most is that when people who don't know much about roller coasters but think they know more than a devout rollercoaster geek(me!). E.g. Know it all: Stealth goes 60mph over the top of it and comes down at 80mph (for those who don't know stealth launches at 80 mph) Me: no it launches at 80mph. Know it all: yes, and it also comes down at that speed. Me: How can it, if friction acts on it. Know it all: There is no friction. Me: of course there is friction, it is not magic and even if it was, there would still be air resistance. Know it all: Thorpe park designed this ride not to have frictions or air resistance. Me: Thorpe park did not design this ride. Know it all: who did then? Me: Intamin Know it all: Who? Me: Intamin Know it all: Who are they. Me: Doesn't matter, but stealth does not go over the top at 60 mph, don't make things up you don't know are true. Know it all: but it does. I then lost all hope and left the conversation. This type of thing happens a lot with people who may have read one book on roller coasters. I am happy to teach people the truth, but I am sure I speak for many when I say it is annoying when people try to teach you things you already know, and are false. Grrr
  5. Holy bump. Also I disagree 100% Maxair is greatness. 'He searched that far back just to make a negative comment about a ride!! Hey, I can see this you know!! I was just scrolling through the forums as you may do and saw this thread. The first thing that popped into my mind was that this is not as forceful or give as much air time as a KMG one does, especially XXL versions. Yes, I know it was far back, but I just wanted to give an opinion. You have a different opinion to me and that is OK. I like to hear other people's opinions but some other people may not. Sorry if my comment annoyed anyone.
  6. Shame this ride is not as intense as other pendulums.
  7. Not really shame, but I feel bad when I ride a ride with nobody else on it and it is on a custom cycle. I feel sorry for the ride op who has to do it just for me. I always thank him/her after though.
  8. Don't get me wrong, I liked your response in the end, just why did you have the first sentence in your answer? If you don't "get" these topics, don't write on them.
  9. This is simple, do you prefer speed or force on a rollercoaster? For me it is speed, because it gets my adrenalin running! I have looked, and I hope this topic has not come up already.
  10. By the way, does anyone know if Pinfari are still in business?
  11. Pinfari is well known for making absolutely nothing good at all! Have you ever been on one of their rides, and what was your experience like? Do you have a favourite Pinfari roller coaster or a worst one. What are your opinions about their rides which don't look safe, and does anyone know if they are safe? I personally have been on two. One at Portsmouth which made me poo myself, due to the noises it made and the fact I almost fell out, and the other was at Winter Wonderland Hyde Park, which had OSTR's which I got bruises from it was so rough. I have no idea how the people who make these rides think they have done a good job, once they have designed them!
  12. I went to dreamworld when I was 8 back a few years. It was great because there were so many big 1.2m height restriction rides. How can someone as small as I was ride a ride this big, it was 100 times bigger than me. To be fair, i did shoot out of my seat! Big thrills, small height restriction.
  13. Yes, most people's shame lies in riding kiddy coasters, just for the credit. (Sort of) good for you for not minding any ride you go on.
  14. Looks like you might be changing your avatar soon, ha ha... Haha!
  15. I do not own any of the pictures. New theming is much needed. Weeeeeee! Looks as if there will be improvements to the station. The dispatch times will be slower now and the dual loading will come into its element. Branding for the ride. It seems they are changing air into what it was meant to be. Who remembers the Air ads?
  16. I have been on the one of these at winter wonderland, and they are one of the best drop towers I have been on. The drop is MEGA intense and they now have new harnesses, like the new Intamin ones used on Lex Luther, which give a very exposed feeling. I think this will be a great addition to the park if it is as good as the one at Winter Wonderland. Seriously, this is better than Intamin drop towers like AtmosFear, which have little force to them. These rides are Heart-attack-inducing!
  17. Oh my gosh, Liseberg is awesome! I love this park and its rides. However although Mechanica is great, there is a travelling version which I rode at winter wonderland and it was exactly the same, just without any queue. I queued for 50 minutes at Liseberg, but I had the ride to myself at winter wonderland, and got a longer ride. Saying that Mechanica is worth the wait, but to all you enthusiasts out there if you know you can ride the travelling version, hold out! Also, does anyone else prefer Hodjskraken (sorry for the spelling) compared to Atmosfear, I just feel the drop is more heart-attack-inducing. Finally I also want to ask, am I the only person who prefers Balder at the front (It may be because I rode the back at the end of the day after 10 hours of riding and it felt at if Balder was trying to shove my insides out of me!) I think I went on the same day as you. Best skyline at night!
  18. That meant you joined when you were 1 year old!
  19. Anybody who has seen the Imbetweeners at Thorpe Park will know how bad the shame on a roller coaster can be! If you have not seen it look it up on YouTube.
  20. Thirteen at Alton towers, a complete wast of money!
  21. Well that is the difference, Mack make all their parts in England, and B and M and Intamin make all their parts in Europe. It must be more expensive from England.
  22. Listeners at night is awesome! You really have to be there though.
  23. One day that jacket may be in the National Roller Coaster Museum I threw it in a bon fire many years ago! Well done for that! The jacket deserved to go to hell.
