  1. ^^ I'll be the one visiting next Wednesday. If the crowds are as light as you guys are suggesting, I'm going to be in my glory. Thanks for the suggestions, I'll make sure to ride both Calico Mine and Timber Mountain.
  2. I'll be visiting the park next Friday,Oct. 10. Because no one in my family, including myself, wants to go there for Fright Fest, we will be arriving at opening. How should crowds be during the day? I'm assuming light due to school/work, is this correct? Also, any ride besides the coasters and Lex Luthor that I should make a "must-ride"?
  3. ^ Yes, it will be my first time there. Plan on riding each coaster you mentioned (including Boomerang), at least once with re-rides depending on what I like and how crowds are. I definitely will ride Supreme Scream, because I love S&S towers and 252 ft. is pretty damn tall. Should I bother riding the Calico Mine ride?
  4. I'll be visiting Knott's on Wednesday, Oct. 8. Not for the Haunt, just a day at the park. I'm assuming the park will be dead, am I correct in this assumption? Also, besides the major coasters, is there anything I should absolutely prioritize while there? Conversely, anything I should be sure to avoid?
  5. Nitro in the rain on Sept. 13.
  6. ^My friends and I got front row, and I sat on the outside (seat closest to the airgates) I thought it ran very smooth for being a Vekoma.
  7. ^I never experienced the old trains, as my first visit to NE was this summer, but for what it's worth, I didn't find the train on Goliath to be uncomfortable in the slighest. It's my second favourite coaster in that park.
  8. Haven't ridden many Arrows, but there will always be a special place in my heart for Great American Scream Machine. OK ride experience, but so beautiful to look at. GAdv really messed up in knocking down GASM for a damned stand-up.
  9. Wow, I really hope I don't encounter this guy when I'm there in a couple of weeks. I'll most likely be riding Xcelerator alone, I don't want to sit next to some loon.
  10. No particular line, but the things he says during the Manhattan Express video is gold. Just wish it wasn't censored.
  11. El Toro over and over and over again.
  12. That's actually a pretty neat way to compensate inconvienced guests. Good job GAdv. Although I still had an amazing time there Saturday afternoon. Nitro and B:TR in the rain was an experience I won't soon forget.
  13. probably skull mountain but i'm not really sure.
  14. WC looks so damn good. Really hope they keep construction going at this pace so I can plan to make my return visit to NE earlier in the season next year.
  15. ^Fright Fest hasn't even begun yet. And once it does, the entrances to the mazes are all clearly marked.
  16. B:TR, easily. Only been on the one at GAdv, which is incredible. The Dark Knight coaster (same park) is pathetic. Dark Knight at SFNE was really disappointing. Honourable mention to Gotham City Gauntlet. I know it's a mouse, but I liked the theming.
  17. I went yesterday because I was having ride withdrawals, and I'm so glad I didn't get scared off by the rain. Nitro was hauling. Sat front row during a steady downpour, and the sting of the rain, plus what felt like faster than usual speeds added up to my best experience on the ride. My friend summed the day up best: "Riding on nice sunny days are all the same. Riding in the rain is an experience." My only complaint about yesterday was ops. There's absolutely NO reason for people-eating B&Ms like Nitro and Bizarro to stack, yet those two crews had them double-stacked.
  18. Strangest looking coaster I've ever seen. Those views from the top of the mountain are incredible.
  19. SFGAdv: El Toro Dorney Park: Talon Coney Island: The Cyclone
  20. Two used coasters, one of which doesn't work, an old first gen drop tower, and some waterslides. I believe people with Dorney as a home park are well within their rights to feel slighted.
  21. ^You haven't truly ridden El Toro until you ride it in the back.
