  1. Even if the weather was cooperating up in Massachusetts, there's no way they'd open up the new ride in April. Six Flags MO is to (try) and open up their new additions during Memorial Day weekend.
  2. The POV looks a lot better than what I was expecting. Might have to include Carowinds now on the tentative itinerary I have cooking up for this summer.
  3. El Toro, Fahrenheit, and Expedition Everest.
  4. ^ This is the "dumbest things said" thread, and he says dumb things.
  5. Same here. Haven't been following the construction of this closely, but these pictures make it look like a gem of a ride. This coaster is the perfect excuse to make my first-ever trip to Knoebels.
  6. Wow! This new hub looks fantastic! I really hope I get back down to WDW this year. It's been 4 years since my last visit, which is the largest drought in my life.
  7. ^ It was thrown into chaos by a troll that sadly, even I fed. No. The park knows this isn't the addition most people wanted, and hinted next year's addition will be larger. Whether that's a coaster or not remains to be seen. I think not, but I hope I'm wrong.
  8. No, you knew full well that it's a permanent ride, but just wanted to take another pot shot at an addition that you don't like. And if you only visit GAdv once every five years, why are you so concerned if El Diablo is "temporary" or not?
  9. ^ Ka hasn't aged well at all. It's a very rough ride in any row other than the first, and the back is especially brutal.
  10. ^The sad part is that he genuinely believes these things.
  11. ^ Interesting. Glad they cleared up that Ka and Zum will NOT run together this year. Oh well. As I mentioned previously, it sucks for capacity but I don't really mind because I don't ride Ka/Zum much, and it keeps other lines shorter.
  12. Please take your fanboy glasses off for just a second. Do you truly believe Darien Lake will be able to compete with arguably the three best coaster line-ups in the country? A park thats basically been neglected by its owners are suddenly going to kick it into gear and add major investments?
  13. Not that I can't ride them, but B&M flyers mess me up like no other ride has. I almost fainted walking down the ramp after getting off of Tatsu, and S:UF at GAdv also makes me woosy.
  14. Not relevant to any current discussion, but the next time I'm down in Florida I have to get to this park. It seems so charming, and White Lightning looks like it packs a decent punch for its size.
  15. SFNE also had the blue shirts last season.
  16. How were the neon shirts "unprofessional"? They were definitely ugly, but they made the employees easily identifiable.
  17. New York (home state) New Jersey Connecticut Massachusetts Pennsylvania Maryland North Carolina Florida California D.C.
  18. I agree but both rides have great tricks, and I love Kingda Ka (in the front seat). I like Zumanjaro too but unless they manage to get the rides to run together I'm still not a fan of it. It's not worth what it did to Kingda Ka's capacity. They're definitely great tricks. Ka is amazing, but only in the front, and Zumanjaro is terrifyingly fun. I too wish they could run together, but the selfish part of me likes the current set-up because both queues hold so many people, keeping all other rides' (especially El Toro's) waits to a minimum.
  19. I haven't been paying this project any mind because my chances of ever getting to ride it are slim, but the addition of a drop tower is enough to pique my interest. I'll definitely be following along with the progress now.
  20. ^ I agree, and I never really pay any mind to records anyway. For me, something being the tallest and fastest doesn't really matter if the ride is a one-trick pony, which both Ka and Zum are.
  21. It holds the record until the new project opens, so Zum has it for at least another two years.
  22. I still live under her roof, so I still have to play by her rules lol. She's lenient with me missing a lot of things so I can visit theme parks, but she definitely draws the line on me skipping Easter dinner. Maybe I can sweet talk her into budging, though.
  23. ^ Understandable. I'd love to go on Easter Sunday because I've heard in the past that it's usually a ghost town on that day, but my religious mother would never let that slide haha.
