  1. ^ Hey, you're right. I used to have to play limbo in order to avoid walking all the way around, but when I visited this year I just walked right through. I didn't even notice they made a change.
  2. ^^ I am relaxed, just wish I could have gone today so I got a little frustrated. Sorry if I came off angry. ^ Thanks. I was thinking today would be pretty crowded because it's just so nice out, but you're right about the cooler temps potentially keeping people away.
  3. I don't have time to go through all your old posts, but you know what you've said in the past.
  4. ^ Do you pat yourself on the back everytime you post something derogative about El Diablo? Anyway: anyone at the park today? I had to say no a trip today, and I'm wondering if it's crowded or not to determine if I should get mad at myself or not.
  5. The park hasn't even begun daily operations yet, I think it's way too early to call the park an "operations nightmare" Why don't you actually visit the park and see for yourself instead of making a wholesale condemnation of the entire Six Flags chain based off of a few reports written in April. I realize this makes me sound like one of the "fanboys", but I'm honestly not.
  6. Possessed was relocated. That's the definition of "hand me down". Whether it is a good ride or not (and it is a good ride) it's still a relocation.
  7. I guess it's because the park only has one woodie? And for some reason people don't think parks are complete with only one wooden coaster? I don't see it happening, not anytime soon, anyway. And for what it's worth, I didn't find Thunderhawk that bad. Rough? Yes, but that's to be expected from a 92 year old ride.
  8. Coasters after Dark is great for marathoning. Last year at closing my friends and I got 5 straight laps in on Nitro, moving throughout the train each time because the station was empty. It's always a lot of fun. I'm about 104% sure I'll be back there next Friday.
  9. It's Friday night from 5-9 PM. For some reason the park doesn't really advertise it
  10. ^^ Drop dead gorgeous. Pun intended. I can't wait for this to open so I can rush up to Agawam and ride it until I pass out.
  11. I loved the colour scheme of Medusa, now Bizarro, at GAdv. That lime green and purple was so 'in your face' and intimidating.
  12. They're both wonderful and delicious and either one could easily win this match-up depending on what mood I'm in, so for me, it's a draw.
  13. Yes, if your pass and parking are on the same voucher, they give you your card at the turnstile, no processing needed. I don't have an answer for your second question, unfortunately.
  14. The 2014-15 New York Rangers are officially the most successful regular season team in franchise history. Of course, if they don't bring Lord Stanley back to Broadway, the regular season success doesn't mean anything. And, for obvious reasons, when the Kings were eliminated from contention, I grinned from ear to ear.
  15. Uh, so getting this thread back on track, if anyone going to opening day today could take/post roughly 10,000 pictures of Wicked Cyclone, I, and presumably many other board members, would be eternally grateful. Thanks in advance!
  16. That's so low to the ground I love it. WC is easily the ride to beat for 2015.
  17. Maybe where you live, Moes is better than Chipotle. But here in NY, Chipotle blows Moes out of the water.
  18. I don't think anyone is saying that. Green Lantern is definitely a smoother ride than GASM, because obviously B&M > Arrow in terms of smoothness. I happened to like GASM, and have a lot of memories growing up involving GASM. 5 years on, and it still upsets me that it was removed. Green Lantern gets a lot of hate (from me) not only because it's rough (and it is indeed rough), but also because it's standing on the footprint of a coaster that meant something to me. In my eyes GL will never be anything more than a sub-par replacement for a legend. I know this isn't a rational argument as to why GASM > GL, but its my argument.
  19. I used to love Moe's, until I was introduced to Chipotle. But having one at Hershey is a cool addition. If I get to Hershey this year, like I plan, I'll probably stop by for a burrito.
  20. ^^ The ride that stood there before Lantern, IMO, both made the skyline look cooler, and was a better part of the collection. But I agree, mostly. I have had rides on it where I thought "Hey this isn't so bad!" and I've ridden it and thought "I hate this piece of crap!". It isn't my least favourite at GAdv, either. I give that title to S:UF.
