  1. Riddler-Very light rattle Scream-High rattle Mantis-Very high rattle Gatekeeper-Medium rattle at the bottom of first drop, no rattle otherwise Banshee-Same as GateKeeper Nitro-Light rattle Batman-Tempermental mosty light to no rattle Bizarro-Light rattle Diamondback-High rattle in middle to back of train. No rattle in first two cars Silver Bullet-No rattle Tatsu-No rattle, then again the ride is very disorienting so hard to be accurate with this one Green Lantern-Was very smooth the one time I rode it, no rattle Raptor-Medium rattle
  2. Yeah it looked ghastly the last time I was there during the summer. It's faded into a pukey white color, when it was a deep brown opening day.
  3. The ones I rode this year definitely MF, El Toro, and Banshee
  4. I would definitely agree with you that Cedar Point is a better all around amusement park, but keeping that in mind I find that the coasters at Magic Mountain beat out the intensity of the rides at Cedar Point, hands down. Even more so when MM had Deja Vu. Just my opinion, don't get me wrong I love Cedar Point, I just found myself a bit disappointed with many of the ride experiences not living up to their hype. I agree, and MM's coaster collection is probably the only category MM beats out CP. If you were to remove CP's marquee rides (MF, TTD, and Maverick) you wouldn't be left with much other than Raptor, Magnum (if you like pain), and Gatekeeper. Whilst if you remove MM's most popular rides (X2, Tatsu, and Full Throttle) you still have Goliath, Apocalypse, Batman, Riddler, Superman, Green Lantern, Ninja etc;
  5. El Toro, its smoother than most steel coasters. Blue Streak, Wild One, Racer (KI), or any older solid-built woodies
  6. 2020?!?! Wow!!! Thanks for the awesome photos
  7. Windjammer, it was just pure trash
  8. Why would MM get another hyper? And I don't see Six Flags spending the $$$ for a giga either... I hope the next ride is one of those GG shuttle woodies. But I'll just enjoy TC until then, I'm sure it will bring in enough revenue where they wouldnt need to add anything for a few years.
  9. I still feel like Riddler is relatively smooth, its no Goliath or Yolo in terms of smoothness but after riding Mantis earlier this year I developed a new respect for Riddler.
  10. Definitely Psyclone, just felt like it could crumble at any second
  11. The crazy part is that an Intamin or Chance mega-light would probably be tons more fun than Superman despite being half the size
  12. LR was 8 million?? No reason why smaller CF and SF parks shouldn't be installing at least the Chance version of mega lite.
  13. Visited for the first time last night... El Toro- I've been wanting to ride this for the longest, it was every bit as amazing as everyone says. The ride never lets up and is smoother than most steel coasters. The hill right before the twisty part at the end is just uncanny Rode it 6 times (5 of them in a row and a couple of times the ride ops let us stay on the train since it didn't get crowded until later) Kingda Ka- Ummmm, not much I can say other than it's basically a rougher, less-themed, less-maintained version of TTD. The launch was awesome but once you get to the incline it feels like you're in a blender. Green Lantern- I was pleasantly surprised, it was a lot better than I had anticipated after reading many negative reviews about it. I thought the ride was a good mix of Mantis' intensity and Riddler's length and smoothness. Bizarro- I was also pleasantly surprised by this one, considering Scream is its younger sister I wasn't expecting much. However the ride was very smooth and nicely themed (definitely a lot nicer to look at than a heap of rotting steel built over a parking lot) Nitro- I was very disappointed riding this, all those years appearing in Golden Ticket's top 10 had me thinking this would at least be semi-decent. The only part of this ride I enjoyed was the helix, everything else was very meh. Dark Knight- Very fun, and a couple of surprising elements. I think it's a perfect ride for a park like Gradv Skull Mountain- Very slow and meh, but it's a family coaster so what can you do? Superman- Didn't get to ride, broke down while we were in line so we decided to skip it in favor of one last ride on El Toro Skipped Batman, been there done that...MANY times Didn't go into any of the haunted houses, had coaster credits to get All in all it's a decent park that is relatively clean and landscaped compared to a park like say SFMM, BUT the operations are absolutely terrible. Like if Fright Fest starts at 5pm, why let guests through the admission gates only to stop you feet later at the fountain and keep you waiting an additional 30 mins before you REALLY can get in? Also not letting cars come into the gate until like 4:50pm forcing cars to sit on the expressway blocking traffic didn't make much sense to me either. Rides were also continually breaking down throughout the night, and they didn't even open Kingda Ka or the drop tower until like an hour after they let the guests in. Another gripe is just how many remnants of old/defunct rides are still sitting in the park left to rot. Anyhow, the only thing that would keep me coming back for now would be El Toro...what a gem that ride is
  14. I agree, and the launch is so much powerful now
  15. I only rode Banshee and I loved it, it just gives you this uncanny sensation that you're riding something HUGE ( and you are!!). The hang time on the 2nd zero g roll really caught me off guard.
  16. The Beast, probably the roughest wooden coaster I've ridden (keep in mind I used to marathon Psyclone as a teenager). The only saving grace for The Beast IMO is the awesome scenery and the slow ominous first lift hill.
  17. Hands up unless I'm riding something really rough, then I white knuckle
  18. They're making some quick work of this, then again it's a pretty big project
