  1. ^ The offer was turned down. https://seekingalpha.com/news/3504029-cedar-fair-turns-away-six-flags?fbclid=IwAR08m-xqO-UjFKNszfT5goAOJ-wFoVFIAjorZxgE7LUlzgpkMxbMuaXH3Iw
  2. When I rode The Voyage in July, aside from a moment or two in the spaghetti bowl, it didn’t feel any rougher than average for a wooden coaster. Still nice to see them maintaining it well, even if it means closing it for the season early.
  3. Fahrenheit at Hersheypark. This coaster seems to get a lot of mixed reviews but I thought it was amazing. It’s very forceful and snappy, almost on the same level as Maverick.
  4. Going back to Minnesota for a few days in mid-October, so I’ll be stopping by Nickelodeon Universe and Valleyfair while I’m there.
  5. That’s unfortunate to hear. I’m starting to regret skipping this park when I was in Cincinnati back in July, as it looked like a fun little park. Oh well...

  7. Announcement is officially coming tomorrow. I’m hoping to see either a new flat in the old RipTide spot or a waterpark addition.
  8. I did end up riding Kozmo’s Kurves, that ride actually has a decent of force for how small it is. Forgot to add earlier, the food at Knoebels was delicious, especially the waffle sundae I had.
  9. Been having a great day at Knoebels so far today. It’s a very charming park with a nice setting in the valley and an old-school atmosphere that has some great rides. Phoenix is a phenomenal coaster, the buzz bars with no seatbelts made for some very strong and somewhat frightening moments of airtime. Twister is a very fun ride with nice laterals, Flying Turns surprised me with how intense it was, and Impulse is a solid looper. Their Flyers are by far the best I’ve ever been on, their log flume is one of the better ones, and the Carousel was a lot of fun, especially with grabbing the rings. Can see why most enthusiasts love this park, and I’ll definitely have to come back again in the near future.
  10. I will be visiting Six Flags Great Adventure on Sunday, August 4th for a few hours in the evening, then all day on Monday the 5th. This will be my first visit to the park. 1) How crowded should I expect the park to be on those day, and how long I should expect season pass processing to take? Would it be worth getting a Platinum Flash Pass for Monday? 2) In what order should I hit the coasters? 3) Any interesting or underrated flat rides I should check out? 4) Anything else I should know?
  11. I’ll be visiting Dorney Park on Sunday, August 4th as part of a PA/NJ coaster trip. Since I usually hear that the park does not get crowded, I’m guessing four hours would be enough time to ride everything at least once, am I correct? My tentative plan is to be at Dorney Park from Open to 2pm and then head to Great Adventure for the evening.

  15. July 2019 update: 1. Steel Vengeance 2. Fury 325 3. Storm Chaser 4. Twisted Timbers 5. The Voyage 6. Intimidator 305 7. Maverick 8. Lightning Run 9. Lightning Rod 10. Magnum XL-200
  16. The Voyage finally opened at 2:45, got a ride in the front row and the back car, and I now have a new favorite wooden coaster! It’s everything a wooden coaster should be with a great first drop, some insane intensity/forces, and lots of strong airtime. Been enjoying the rest of the park as well, Raven and Legend are both great wooden coasters, and Thunderbird is my new favorite B&M wing coaster, as it’s a bit more intense than the rest.
  17. I’m at Holiday World right now and The Voyage has not opened so far today. Does it usually have a lot of mechanical downtime?
